Man Begs Judge To Divorce Him From Wife Of 12 Years And Cites Shocking Reason...

A man, Mudasiru Saidi has prayed Oja Oba/Mapo Court C Customary Court, Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State, to terminate his 12-year-old union to his wife, Mudasiru Atinuke.

Mudasiru had sued for divorce on the accounts of irresponsibility and waywardness by his wife. He added that she also lacked credibility.

The plaintiff further appealed to the court if his prayer was answered, to grant him custody of their four children and restrain her from harassing him at his home or workplace.

“My lord, all I pray the court today is to please grant me my prayer for divorce from my wife because she has soiled my name enough.

“She placed no value on our marriage since we got married and behaved as she pleased. She hardly cooked for the home while she indulged our children in buying food from food vendor which apart from being expensive, was not satisfying.

“She never cared about my welfare and had no regard for me. In fact, at a time she started rubbing shoulders with me in the home and kept humiliating me before our children and neighbours.

“She had no friend in the compound we were living in and the neighbourhood because she was always at loggerheads with everyone.

“She was also in the habit of buying things on credit with my name and never paying back. On many occasions, I had been accosted by her creditors and made to pay for items she never informed me before buying on credit which I found embarrassing.

“She extended this habit to microfinance banks where she borrowed money and defaulted in paying back. I have often been harassed by these institutions and threatened with an arrest by the police, “he stated.

“My lord, she took to prostitution and started hopping from one bed to another. My ears became full of her escapades while I have enough evidence to back my claim. She actually started flaunting the calibre of her lovers before me thus humiliating me.

“We fought always because of her wayward nature and she finally packed out of my house two years ago which was much of a relief to me, “he added.

“My lord, I want this court to officially separate us so that I can move on with my life.

“I also pray for the custody of our children who are presently with her because she has no time for them and I don’t want them to take after her, “he concluded.

Atinuke failed to show up in court after being served a court summon once and court hearing thrice.

Giving his judgment after listening to the plaintiff, the court president, Chief Ademola Odunade, dissolved their union on the premise that the plaintiff no longer loved his wife.

According to him, the defendant obviously showed she was no more interested in their marriage and was not ready to save it since she refused to turn up in court after receiving the summons.

He ordered the children to remain with the defendant till they are older while he ordered the plaintiff to give the defendant N10, 000 monthly through the court as their children’s feeding allowance and be responsible for their education and health care.

    2. Even as baby mama you will crave for love and attention and the sperm producer may not have your time. It is not the institution but the students in it that are at fault.

  3. How and why did they get married in the first place?
When they tell people to investigate secretly before tying the knot, they usually wave it off, after marriage they start regretting. If He had, somehow he should have noticed these traits in her.

    2. Her mother may be innocent. There are kids of prostitutes who grow up to be responsible members of the society, there are children of some acclaimed holy and good people who end up badly. It can also happen in reverse, go figure...

    1. It's not about marriage but rather the individuals involved. Even relationships are not faring better either. People no longer have patience and tolerance. We now want a complete being financially and emotionally without working on ourselves. My own marriage is working fine and will last till death. Have faith and build your brand.

  7. Poverty-stricken judgement! What is 10k monthly going to do for 4 kids in this economy? Besides, if she's all this man just accused her of, why grant her custody of the kids? I really fear for their safety.

  8. Infidelity amongst women is getting too much in these new generation marriages.

  9. Indeed, marriage is not for everyone. The funny thing now is that this man will still remarry. Afterall, person wey motor kill, na motor go still carry am go hospital. Oja okunkun gba ni igbeyawo! Marriage na black market. If u like, make una court or judiciary for twenty years, na when una begin live together as husband and wife una go sabi una true character.

  10. Who knows if what the man is saying is the truth. Is always good to hear the two sides of the story to know what to comment.

  11. The Plaintiff's reason is too numerous, who knows the one that is the truth and false since the Defendant was not in court to defend herself. God have mercy on marriages.
