  1. Stella it was a boycotted elections by PDP, APGA and others. Even voters didn't turn out massively. So obviously it was a walk over contest for Rochas. Imolites aren't that stupid, they are waiting for him in the governor election. It is so insensitive for Rochas in attempting to field his son in law as APC flag bearer for next election. Has governance turn to family affair? Don't you see he is trying to put a puppet to cover his deed? I am not from Imo but I trust those people not to be fooled.

This is actually what Saraki did against his own father Olusola when he tried imposing his daughter Gbemisola being Saraki sister as the governor of Kwara State but Saraki kicked against it and took the sloth to the current governor. The sister contested on a different platform and failed which dealt a heavily blow on their father before his death in 2012. This emphasis is for people always saying things they actually don't know that Saraki disrespected his father and insulted the sister.

With what you read above, was Saraki wrong? Exactly the path Rochas is towing now.

    3. So because of only this thing that Saraki did, he has become a messiah and righteous person man to you? Why not talk about Société Générale Bank? Was he not holding an important position there before they collapsed it? What about the massive fraud in his time as governor? You are just trying to prove that you know history after that anonymous finished you the last time. Rochas is not doing the same thing Saraki did. All different. Please reduce your comments to give room for serious comments.,not going always dropping a text book. Relax and stay chilled.

    4. At least you admitted he did something right. Thanks for that.

    5. Rochas can't equate Saraki achievement both academically and otherwise. You are too quick to point societe general bank collapsed, why not talk about the shongai farming initiative of Saraki as governor in conjunction with Zimbabweans that made Kwara State to become exporters of agriculture. Do you still remember his clean and green initiative and also how he served under Obasanjo in financial policy making that accorded him international recognition. So many to talk about but will leave you here to continue wallowing over Rochas you and I know is already drowning in the pool of his own atrocities.

    6. Well, we could say that about ALL Nigerians politicians if your benchmark for citing the credibility of politicians and other people in power is based on selected good works that they did. It would be easier to say Abacha had the best running economy in Nigeria out of ALL Nigerian heads of state and presidents. No leader surpassed him in foreign reserves, containing the economy of inflation, establishment of rural and urban infrastructure and social amenities, reduction of country’s debt, and many others. Most of the projects he embarked on were faaaar more than his bad side. But we still hear his name for few things: dictatorship and stealing of money to foreign reserves. This same thing was done by Saraki. The Panama papers showed extensive siphoning of Nigeria’s wealth to buy humongous and massive buildings in the UK, US and countries with no-tax payments such as Panama and other Caribbean countries. More so, he got away with several billions of the Paris fund return to Nigeria, he made the Kwara Assembly pass bill where he gets rich living on Kwara money after his tenure as governor of the state: like a governor on pension, houses bought for him in that capacity and continuous salary from the coffers of the government. I can continue mentioning a lot more if you want me to. Of projects he awarded without execution but the Monies were diverted to himself and his wife, etc. So let continue judging them based on your poor statistical achievement. If that was the case, Rochas would also be considered as an achiever. Every Nigerian governor, chairman, etc would be countered as achievers.
And please, don’t lie to the whole world, Kwara State was never and is not an exporter of agriculture. Not yesterday or today. That is just another absolute lie from you. You can say their agriculture improved through the white Zimbabwean farmers but not exporting. Pure lie as usual.
And please, mention where and when he was accorded international recognition for financial policy making? Where? Which organization? Which board? Which institute? What a bloody lie, mr Teejay? Where did you get such lie from?
Rochas established more than Saraki. When Rochas started politics, contesting and running different activities in different areas in Nigeria, Saraki was still a boy. Rochas has more business and educational acumen than Saraki and there is no doubt about that. In those aspects, he achieved more than Saraki. Saraki only has a degree ahead of Rochas. Nothing more! He only got into power riding on his father’s prominence. Nothing more. Who knew Saraki? No one. Even as a big figure in Societe Générale bank before him and his family stole the wealth there, who knew him? You are talking out of point Mr man. I will call that anonymous on you again.

I am from Imo State and elections start from LG and councils, if Rochas has manoeuvred this election, then obviously the governorship will be a walk over for him.
Rochas is a strong man, I am still shocked beyond words!!!

    1. So you saw that too. We are keenly watching on Rochas and every of his move. He will pay dearly for all his crimes.

    2. You are watching Rochas? You sound like a powerless bulldog. The only reason why Rochas’ APC won was clearly because other parties couldn’t challenge him and his party. If they could, they would have made it happen. It is childish and petty to say people didn’t come out to vote or that his party contested against itself. Such a laughable analysis. If they were sure they could win, they would have contested and proved their feat at the polls. Just like Lagos some years back, other political parties didn’t contest for gubernatorial election against Fashola because they knew it was a waste of time and resources. They knew Fashola was going to win them hands down in his second bid for the position. So there was no need. If Rochas was wallowing and drowning in his own failure and crime, this would have been the best chance for opposition parties to outsmart him. But no, they couldn’t. That speaks a lot my friends.

  8. Most people here is underestimating the "power of incumbency". This is Nigeria, anything can happen! 2019 will shock a lot of people. I didn't read anywhere in the news that most political parties boycotted the election, but either way, A.P.C won!

If they could, we wouldn’t be hearing this cock and bull excuse of, ‘oh they boycotted the elections. They didn’t come out to vote”. Absolute rubbish. APC won hands down. In ALL the local government areas. No one is talking about electoral manoeuvre here. Clear cut win!
