Her fans were disappointed when the actress did not show up for the Africa magic viewers choice awards on Saturday September 1st......
She has an explanation though.....

I think Africa magic is not treating our movie stars well and they distract us from their absence by filling up the event with big brother kids and wannabe stars...African magic knocked of AMA awards which seemed more accepted by the movie stars but now that it has become popular it is disregarding the stars...where was Rita Dominic? Kate Henshaw? Genevieve? Mary Remmy? Queen Nwokoye? Mercy Johnson, Chacha Eke? Adesua? Funke? Omoni? Uche Jumbo? Chioma Chukwuka? Even Lilian Bach? Nadia? Jackie? Or did they come and their pics didn’t circulate And a host of other real actors????

DeleteLet me start with some of the names: Now most of these actors you mentioned have not featured in recent films. Most of them are busy charging high fees and it’s difficult to take them up. Recently I started watching AM Showcase, Epic and Urban, then ROK 1,2 &3. These are where you will see very recent films and most of these actors are not even here. It’s people like Alex Ekubo, IK Ogbonna, Indimi, Belinda,Dakota, Adeyemi, that Kalu guy, and a host of these new actors. And I must tell you these ones are really good. Chacha Eke is not even that recent.
DeleteNow Chioma and her crew were absent cos they went to Dubai, Rita Dominic and Omotola are the old ones that were even present. Genevieve has not featured in any film except for this one they are about to release. Queen was nominated but she didn’t win. Funke shines more in her series and that category no reach there lol. It’s even good so they can be diversity in the industry. The old ones were feeling like they owned the industry but the new ones are already taking over. If they had this kinda competition before, people like OmoT and Genny no go de feel like the dons.

Yes you are so right Shyla.It helps an industry when there is diversity.I like that the directors are giving new faces a chance.Most of those old actors were just lucky with Nollywood when it wasn't that big.Because I can count a lot of new actresses and actors that act better.Aside from IK ogbonna and clique.They need extra acting coach and training.
