ReplyDeletePhones are allowed at polling centres but not inside the voting booths/ cubicles. This is to prevent votes buying or to reduce it to the minimum.
ReplyDeleteVoters normally take a picture of their ballot papers to show the party they voted for. Then, they use this picture as proves to collect money from the party agents. Some will collect money before voting and later show the evidence that they voted for the party that bribed them.
I hope this new law will serve its purpose(s).
