There is a debate on ground that i want us to address....
The last shoki cards that i ordered for had been tampered with and i am still pained but I am yet to pay.When this BV approached me i told her my fears and warned her that i would only pay after all cards had been loaded and there were no complaints at all.She agreed and then i told her the date i wanted the cards and she sent...
To my shock,even the people i private mailed cards,nobody could load,the cards,i thought it was a joke until I sent some to people i know to try them out and some of the cards had been used up on the day she sent them to me.
I kept mailing her and sending her screen shots sent to me but she appeared shocked as well and my surprise increased.....i did not suspect she was involved in any foul play with me at all until she called me and as we were trying to find a solution,she had loaded a card to test and it entered and i asked her why she would load my card without my permission .....i said ''what if i send that same card out and it comes back as used?you had no right and did not inform me,maybe this is what has been happening''.I cut the call at once and that was when i began to suspect the whole ish.
She said it was just 50k and she could never do such and just wanted to help....just 50k?people go to jail for stealing just 5k!!!
I am yet to pay her the money and i am thinking if i should pay her half of it or pay all and move on..i need advice...Note that she is yet to mail me since this blew open.Also note that i always pay up after cards have been loaded and those i have bought shoki from before would bear me witness on this....
Over 30k worth of these cards were used up whilst they were with me...This has never happened before...The last cards before this one,we had about four or five cards used up and that was why i was so upset but the BV wanted to replace them but i refused and paid up.....30k used up cards?this is shocking!
What do i do?
I have a conscience and don't wanna cheat anyone but should i be cheated?

Today my father in law and my father are celebrating their birthdays and i am so grateful to God....A few days back my dad got a great Birthday present but it was so hard for me choosing a gift for my father in law and i ended up buying him a bottle of label perfume and a bottle of champagne.....This man has his own money so it is not easy buying him anything because he really has taste and is so choosy....We are celebrating today and I might be slow in posts as from 12noon but i will catch up later as soon as i get back....Make una EPP me thank God for my father and father in law,two great men who share same birthday and whose kids met and married...LOL
Let me rise the hair behind your necks...My late Mother in law and my late elder sister had the same Birthday as well in March...same date oh....My elder bro and my hubby and brother in law all have December Birthdays.My younger brother and another brother in law both have May Birthdays.....same date.
I cannot use photos cos i keep family out of what i do....
Yesterday i wanted to post their photos on Instagram and remembered that friends of my in laws were on IG...LOL

DeleteStella, the issue with recharge vouchers is that sometimes it would have been used before getting to the vendor. Because these vendors buy from dealers, and the dealers could have shady staff who load the cards randomly, so no one would suspect a thing.
DeleteThe BV you patronized should take the cards back to the dealer she bought them from, if truly she knows nothing about what happened. She could also take them to the network, to ascertain when the cards were used. But, they might not give out the number that loaded the card.

Yesterday owambe party was lit. We shut J-town down. Strictly on invitation with a lot of big boys and girls present. Thank God I didn't turn down the iv. Who no like better thing? I was living in a remote village with out shops selling those cards & I bought phone cards from her worth $20 over the phone & wired her money on e banking.
Out of the 4 phone cards ($5 for 1) only 1 was loaded fully. The rest had no credit in them or were already tampered with.

I really don't know what happened to those cards, but some bvs are heartless like that. Instead of them to acknowledge that they got the card that you sent them privately, or that you posted online, they'll rather keep mum; thereby causing problems for you and the seller.... Some even go under anonymous to acknowledge, what stops them from using their blog ID?

When I was serving, the bank put me in charge of call cards. One day a customer bought card and left. The following morning, this man came back and almost took off my head. So somebody suggested we call mtn customer service which he did. They asked him if he had anybody living with him, he said two brother in laws. They asked for the numbers, he provided and he was told one of them loaded the card. He immediately said one was there when he scratched the card then got up to do something.
ReplyDeleteIt possible somebody was assisting the seller to load and might have stolen some numbers to resell or use. The seller should search herself and environment very well too.
I just read yesterday's chronicle and before reading the comments I knew people would insult the lady. Poster, I hope you get to see this... first of all, you need to start loving yourself, take yourself out, be by yourself and if having relationships will make you better make friends(but don't tell your problems unless you trust the person). I know it is difficult loving yourself but as they say "little drops of water makes a mighty ocean".Start somewhere.

DeletePersonally, I have been corrected a number of times here and I'm happy for it. It only means that with each correction, ur vocabulary will be increasing.
I remember when I used to use 'matured' in place of 'mature' and then I was corrected here. Na even when me and d person dey quarrel, e correct me. So just imagine the way it was done. But boy, was I grateful for the correction.
But the day I corrected that person over hers, come and see epistle like what u are doing now. Its not worth it abeg. Just take the correction then never make the mistake again.

ReplyDeleteIf there’s going to be a next time, you have people that you communicate with regularly I suppose, e.g., Martins Aboy, Beloved etc, get them to buy these cards for you. If this same problem arises, then be rest assured that there are people on here that load the cards very fast.
I for one wouldn’t want to think that the lady will want to dent her image like this when she could have built a long standing relationship. But then again, Nigerians like to feel like they are the smartest and “sharpest” people.
Just pay her the full money due to her and count it as your loss. If she cheated you, she’ll definitely reap the repercussions.

ReplyDeleteThe fault might not be from the bv that sold to you, but from the main suppliers. If you can, pay her half, let her go and confront the people she bought from with the evidence of screen shots you sent to her. They should also share in the loss (if truly she is not involved)

Isn't it funny how Bvs jump on trend? When Stella post about Single and happy, all Bvs will become single and happy. When Eka Joy talks about her boo, all single and happy Bvs will suddenly remember their long lost boos. When they post about marital wahala, all Bvs will go anonymous and start posting their marital problems. When they post about separated and moving on, all Bvs will narrate how they are separated and happy. Some post are not for everyone. Jump and pass.
What is this trend of people always advising married women in their response to a chronicle ' you want to answer Mrs'. Stella my taken on this shoki issue is this. Awon fastest fingers might even be one computer genius loading most of the cards.if you can find a way to inbox your bvs that comment on the blog,like it going round not just some particular set of bvs.I thinkbiys better that way. And for the seller, she put some invalid pins.she formed some numbers because I was getting one kain funny message when trying to load and eventually blocked.

ReplyDeleteEver since Buhari's regime, most Nigerian youth branched into entrepreneurship just to make ends meet, that is commendable and shows how hardworking Nigerian youth are. However, some really need to polish their skills. We have a lot of them marketing stuff on Instagram and here with zero customer relating skills. They are rude, uncouth with no 5 year plan for their business. They don't understand the rudiments of running a business and is not willing to take a class for it.
I watched on IG how a makeup artist cleaned off her customer's makeup because she paid an amount lower than they initially bargained. She is an unknown makeup artist still trying to build her brand. She doesn't know that tolerance, discount, patience are major when building a brand. So she prefers to wipe the makeup and lose money. Her time, makeup and effort wasted. Some people need wisdom in abundance. They want to become Dangote in a day, they will not allow themselves to be mentored by the likes of Dangote.
And those IG weave sellers with their low quality weave yet they put an expensive price on it.
By the way, 80 percent of makeup artist in Nigeria still have a long way to go. Why follow same trend of makeup? Heavy foundation, heavy concealer, bold eyebrow, lashes, bold lipstick, cakes of powder, thick eyeliner. C'mon people, it is possible to apply makeup, glow and still look like you didn't.

The driver leaked the shameful secret to my Aunt later on the day of the ceremony. I hear am as beef no come reach as expected. N488,000 swindle just like that. Oriegwu.

Stella, I think if you wish to continue with this Shoki, you should buy like 5k worth of cards each from different vendors, not packing money to give one person that will not deliver.
ReplyDeleteAs for the case at hand, I think she should investigate what actually happened on her own and present a report to you, then tell you with her mouth how much you should pay. Some people do not have any drop of conscience in their body so if you say you wan leave them to conscience you are just wasting your time. Nobody deserves to be cheated.

I will kindly suggest you scrap this shoki free credits you post here and rather you give/email/send it to people who genuinely need it. This is based on my findings related to this. Sorry you experienced such but it's time to stop this and give it strictly to those facing social economic issues/difficulties ONLY. They in kind, should inbox you and pay their "thank you dews" or "let your reward be in heaven".
You will get more from that than posting it here for some of the 'ungrateful' lots.
I also, believe you should pay the lady, learn from this experience and be mindful of people you trust in business. Looking on to the bright side, God always has a way of exposing people or things to us and I believe your sleeping off was one.

ReplyDeleteI'll be blunt with you.
It hurts seeing all the callouts and regrets.
1. Your love and generosity is what they believed in and were hoping on when they stayed all night waiting for the cards.
2. Your name is the one out there for disappointing them not the vendor.
Cards;some will load those cards, sell them to go feed their kids that's how TIGHT Nigeria is now. Some will go resell and subscribe for data and return to the commet section. They were excited about Shoki night.
All hopes dashed and you are protecting that vendor? She needs to come defend herself and her transaction openly because I have questions for her.
If a purchased card is used. Call or walk into Customer Care unit and tender it. The pin no and serial number shows when it was used and the sim no that used it. It's easy like that. If the numbers were made up, the system detects it from the tag no written on top of the sealed carton of 50 bricks. Assuming one of the cards was torn out of a brick. 50k what of cards? How many? Including the ones privately mailed to bvs? Wow!
The mistake you need to avoid. Please don't give out anycards before the 10pm stipulated hour, privately or otherwise. That way you'll ensure that it was not a dubious supply. Shikena.
The bvs who collect and come thank in anonymous, link the last 4 digits they published to their email. It is a lot of task but you need those who actually "appreciate" your largesse.
For next transaction; Eka Joy, Bee 10 or Olori Orente can do a genuine transaction. Yes I know so.
For me o, pay her 25k and block her off because in a liquid transaction both parties share the loss.

ReplyDeleteThere's a way of knowing who loaded the cards. Put a call through the service providers customer care. Give them the needed info and they will give u the details of the "Loadee."
ReplyDeleteLastly, pay her off and close her chapter for good. If she has decided to play a smart one on you, the it's her loss not yours, because she will reap her reward in due time.

stella best birthday wishes to your dad and FIL...una family na match made in heaven...as for the shoki, its hard to do good to people in naija cos of the entitlement mentality. ask her to confirm who loaded the cards and revert back. then ask her what you should do about the ones you could not load.her answer will determine your next course of action. if you trust its not her fault and she sounds genuinely sorry then you can share the loss but if not she should take full responsibility for the loss.
