TEEJAY'S CORNER

ENTHUSIASM TO SUCCEED.

Last week I had a dream, in that dream, I was in a chapel praying when a priest walked up to me and handed a piece of paper to me. I opened the folded piece and behold what was written therein was 1Samuel 30:8.

When I woke up, I quickly stored the verse on my phone as to read it later on. I did read it and below is the message;

So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?”

And the Lord answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

Without doubt, this verse became my favorite. I took time analysing that passage and came to the conclusion that the Lord has spoken a word in my heart to succeed.

Three notable things as seen in the above quotation are; PURSUE, OVERTAKE AND RECOVER. These set of instructions and command, are prerequisite for one to succeed in the battles of life.

It is of a great importance to rise up at those low places the enemies have relegated you to and pursue vigorously with every enthusiasm your dreams if you will get to your goals in life. Self pity breed stagnation and stagnation create dependency. When the instruction say pursue, what does that mean? It is a directive to run towards success. Understand this, the word is 'Pursue', indicating you must exhibit strength and effort to capture lost ground. It doesn't say 'Walk' for a walk can be forever.

When you pursue, overtaking becomes a walkover. What are you overtaking in life? You must overtake every limitations on the road to success. Have you been written off in life? Rejected and abandoned? There is a report you won't amount to something in life, no one in your family has gotten to a certain level in life and you are beginning to believe the many lies of impossibilities.

Today you must not only pursue but overtake every stumbling blocks standing against your destiny. You must overtake delays, stagnation, failures, setback, infertility, unproductive and disappointment.

Get up in that mess and self pity you have been all this years, its time to write another history of your life. It's time to prove certain persons wrong about your life. For so long you have depended on human hands for survival and has lost every bit of respect. I challenge you to rise this minute and pursue all that you have lost in the past. It's never too late to try one more time. Let there be a new orientation and zeal burning in you to succeed. Surely, you shall recover all without fail but only if you pursue.

Until you pursue, you can never overtake those wasted years and limitations, only on that will you be able to recover lost ground and glory. Let this be a redefining moment and awaken inspiration to as many who have lost it in life. May you find the strength to press forward. You are never a victim but a victor.

TEEJAY.

Please how can I go about doing a very small engagement for about 50 people (25for me, 25 for fiance)without my parent inviting the whole universe, I already told them I don't want too much paparrazi for my wedding but this people won't allow me.

I want something like a parlour wedding with maybe a canopy, packaged food for the guest and everyone leaves. Please how can I convince them, both of us have never celebrated anything and this our first party, we don't want much people.

Why beating about the bush?Tell them outrightly what you want....If you begin this way then you wont have privacy to do your own things.

  1. During that flood incidence in 2012 my house was somewhat affected.I never knew the house soaks water from the ground till I came back from work one day and stepped on the carpet and couldn't feel the ground because water was underneath.I complained to the caretaker and he said they will fix it and all that( which they never did till I moved out).

It happened the second time and this time more severe. My appliances and foam which was on the ground was submerged in water and I couldn't sleep in my room this time unlike the last time.

Meanwhile,a colleague was squatting with me at the time so I called up a chyker to ask if we could pass the night at his place and sort out my house ish the next day and he said "ok".

We got to his house not knowing he was high.He exchanged pleasantries with my colleague and to my shock he said "I hate Isoko babes".How can you hate someone you are just meeting?🙆‍♀️ I thought in my mind.

Its safe to say that this guy so misbehaved that night to the point my colleague couldn't take it and she beat him up.🙈.I've never seen a girl beat a guy in my life and to worsen matters the guy started crying like a baby.😂

He called his military friend to come pick us up and lock us and the first question the guy asked him was "are you high?" and he said yes and that one cut the call.lol

My people it was all drama till about 4am before we were able to catch some sleep.By the time we were on our way out he apologised and blamed his actions on alcohol but mehn I was so disgusted at his behavior the night before.I blocked him biko.Who wants an irresponsible friend?

I'm sure in his next life if he sees any waffy girl he will 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️.

I still don't understand people who hate a tribe based on one personal bad experience or general beliefs about that tribe.🤷‍♀️

  4. An eagle can fly to heights that a crow can’t reach. There will always be some crows in your life pecking at you, trying to bait you into a fight. But the only way to argue with a crow is to come down to their level. If you find yourself trying to prove your point, upset, in conflict, that’s a sign you’ve come down too low. You need to go back up where you belong. You’re an eagle; quit wasting your time with a crow. That crow can’t go where you’re going. He’s a distraction. Rise above it.

    1. After picking, put in pot, add water just enough to cover the soy bean, allow to boil till the peels can easily remove, allow to get cold, peel off the scales, dry very well in hot sun, fry untill it turns little brownish, then grind to very fine powder. Enjoy

      Delete
    2. Hi Linda. After picking it, you dry roast it in a pan by turning and turning till u see d back starting to come off the skin.remove the back by rubbing with our hand and blowing it away the way you do groundnut that has peel.when done,.then you grind it very very well with a powerful dry blender and when it cools down you drive the powder to get very fine soyabean powder.store in an airtight container and mix with pap before making.you can adda little sugar if ur baby rejects it.

  27. Teejay, I read your column & it's encouraging. My question is, how can one pursue lost ground & gain it? What if you've been intentionally pursuing everything, goals et all, yet there isn't much improvement? I really need clarity on this, I don't want to believe that all of my efforts aren't or won't yield success cos at the moment, that's how I feel.

I'll also appreciate the info on IELTS exams, lemme try my hands in obodo oyibo too....... Good afternoon everyone!

    1. Firstly, what do you really want in life? How good are you in what you want or what you are currently doing at the moment? Have you take time to study why things aren't going the way you wanted? What effort are in place to correct wrong steps and actions?

Sometimes we want a better life but aren't willing to sacrifice comfort to achieve success. Nothing good comes easy, yes you can recover lost ground but lost time you can't. All you have to do is to set a pace for yourself on how you desire to attain your goals. In as much as you can't go back in time to change your past deed, you can always have a better end by adjusting your today. Hope this help.

You need to get food items where it is cheaper for you. Get good staff that will assist you to make work easier for you. Put prices to the plates of food you are selling or is the company paying for the staff to eat? Make sure your food is delicious and healthy. Make sure the eating or dining area is clean and cosy. Cook assorted meals and snacks. The Sky is your limit. When you do all this your don't have a problem. I wish you Good luck 😘If you need any more tips or questions drop a comment below mine

  37. Afternoon my people. Happy birthday to the celebrant. Trust your day is going on fine. I feel renewed and I want to tell someone this : " Have you been asking God to do something all this while and you are yet to see the answers to your prayers? Hold on, the answer is on its way. In the meantime, move on with your life. Don't put your life on hold while waiting for the answer. God will surely come through for you. I love you "
Have a beautiful day my beautiful people
