Pastors Endorse President Buhari's Re-election

The United Pastors for Good Governance Support in Nigeria (UPGSN) has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 general elections.

Speaking at a press conference held at Bayelsa House Abuja yesterday, the president of the group, Rev James Muya said President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election is assured considering his performance in the fight against corruption, massive infrastructure and improvement in security.

According to the Pastors, all their followers and Nigerians should come out and vote for Buhari because of his performance. “We have gone through the allegations against Buhari and found out they are untrue. In case you were told that Buhari is an extremist, our finding and research has proven it wrong, that is why we are endorsing him for a second term,” Muya said. “Buhari is the only president in Nigeria that continues with the 95 per cent abandoned projects of a previous administration.

“Today, we have seen a man who has been accused without proof. We are here to tell Nigerians that Buhari is a good leader, worthy leader and never had anything against Christians and Christianity.

We endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari’s second tenure and we must stand and protect our votes,” he added. Also speaking, Chaplain Yakubu Anza said he was encouraged that Pastors endorsed Buhari adding that Nigerians must pray for their leaders because leadership comes from God. “The President can’t govern without the masses’ support. God chooses who he wants.

Both Christian and Muslim comes from one God,” Anza said. Anza who said the current leadership is the best, added that they want the leadership to go higher that was why they were showing open support to them. “Nigerians must avoid harming each other. The two major parties must eschew bitterness and know that it is only God that will finally approve their plans,” he said.

  4. Way to go!

This administration has really tried just that the ripple effect of corruption from previous administration is affecting a lot of people and it's clouding their sense of judgement.

If we really want to move forward as a nation, we cannot afford to bring back broad daylight corruption. We will get to our destination with a little patience.

Let's learn not to listen to cheap, unintelligible propaganda.

Having said that, go out, cast your votes and let your voice be heard by exercising your civic responsibility.

Vote, don't fight. God bless Nigeria

  6. "Completed abandoned projects" with half of Nigerians going hungry everyday. And prices of goods going up per second. Is it the completed projects the masses will feed on?

    1. You should have asked those who left the economy dwindling before he took over. Thank God we are not Venezuela. GEJ and his group would have made it worse.
