Vice President Osinbajo Refutes Resignation Rumour.......

Professor Yemi Osinbajo has quashed rumours suggesting that he had resigned his post as Vice President of Nigeria.

The Vice President took to social media to debunk the speculations, describing them as ‘Fake News’.

He said, “Misleading/FAKE news is on the rise especially in this season when Nigerians will make a choice about who will govern them for the next four years. I have not resigned!

I remain committed to the service of the Nigerian people under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.”

The Vice President said the rumours are all part of propaganda which stems from his absence at the last security meeting in Abuja.

He said he was too busy in his office while the meeting was underway, adding that the same security chiefs that met with the President held a meeting with him on the same day.

According to the Prof Osinbajo, those who peddled the lies about his resignation said he flared up because he was not at the security meeting, and had to resign.

Osinbajo urged Nigerians to disregard such information, reiterating that he remains the Vice President of the country and running mate of President Muhammadu Buhari for the forthcoming elections.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s New Media aide, Bashir Ahmed, debunked same rumour on his Twitter handle.

  3. He hasn't resign as speculated by some persons in the media but what I frown at is how Osibanjo being the vice president is being treated by the Northern President and cabals.

Since the inception of this administration, Osibanjo hasn't pertake in security meetings with service chiefs. Just the recent one held this week, he was locked out when he tried to attend, but northern governors were all present. Are governors better than the VP? Obviously he is a Christian and an infidel according to them.

The north have never trusted the south, so it's not something new.

Just yesterday Tinubu was seen begging Igbos in Lagos to vote for APC. Recounting to them how they are being allowed to pay the same amount of school fees and exams feel with the indigenes. Finally he went on to say, that elections in Igbo dominated arears will be closely monitored. Isn't that statement threatning??? Please the world should take note of that statement made by Tinubu, should anything happens to Igbos in Lagos and their businesses. We haven't forgotten the threat made by the Oba during Good luck tenure precisely 2015. Shortly after that, we saw how Igbo dominated markets were burnt down. We are keenly watching. *continue sipping my zobo in observation mood*

This is no biggie. This is how they treat everyone outside of their sphere of influence except you know who. Of course OBJ is the only Southerner the North trusts and respects.

  6. Stella there's might be an atom of truth in this rumor. I learnt el rufai abi na Nuhu Ribadu and some others jostling for d position.

Stella another gist is that Inec is set to announce a staggered election and there's need for a nation wide protest.
