  9. I think i will prepare draw soup with stock fish (the ears),periwinkle, little beef, dried fish and the star of the soup will be edible SNAILS. I love snails a lot...that crunchy sound it makes is pleasing.

NB: for a crunchy snail...wash with dried garri thrice then use water to filter d garri out. Dont use alum or watsoever,it makes ur snail less crunchy and u wont enjoy it. Garri makes washing it easier and rids d slimy substance away quickly.

Draw soup to be pushed down with fufu.

  29. Who can teach me a foolproof way if making ngo sauce. My palmoil hardly curdles nd if it does it ends up very salty.I need to know how much kanwa and palmoil i should use. I want to make nkobi for my visitors today

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think u should leave out the 'kanwa'(potash). Go to market and buy 'ngu', it's usually in a container with water added. When it settles, u use little of it and your oil, it will give u a smรณoth and better paste .

  30. None of those foods is my thing. I guess i'm not normal. I don't eat snail, catfish, not crazy over fried plantain 3 pieces and i'm fed up, Not an eba fan, the only soup I like is ogbono with Bitterleaf.
Maybe that's why i'm pregnant and anaemic at the moment. I pray my kids don't develop this my habit. The only food I like is noodles and eggs.I eat rice once a week. I hate bread and tea. In fact I hate food

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nne are you sure u are not anorexic?
Being anaemic in pregnancy is a No No, please, even if u don't like food( I felt same way especially in my first 3mester), try and be eating lots of fruits and veggies. They will help build up your blood level.

There was something I tried too, my doc told me 2 weeks to delivery that my blood level is still low...around 45%, I should build it up lest I get a transfusion during delivery. Someone told mum I should a mixture of akwukwo anara leaves and malt and drink twice a day, I did it consecutively for 2 weeks, u can't believe it, when I went back for my HGL level, it was 77% and d doc commented me.

So u can be doing the above at least to boost your blood, while the fruits and veggies help too.

    2. Thanks alot mhiz A. Will try the akwukwo anara and malt.

I cant even surprise him with orishirishi meals cos he will say he doesn't like it. I am frustrated and tired. I cant even eat healthy as a pregnant woman. Sorry I just needed a place to rant.
