Ekene Franklin (15 years) who scored 347 and Igban E. Chidiebube (17 years) who scored 346 both from Abia state who are two of the three highest scoring Jamb Candidates have been offered Scholarship after they were allegedly denied admission by University of Lagos......
We need to reach them to relay the good news to them
He says
''Professor Gregory Ibe the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu just called me now, that he has instructed Gregory University to offer scholarship to the two Abia students that scored highest in Jamb that were denied admission by Unilag, because of their age. One of them is 15 years and he said that there's nothing wrong in starting university at that age, that his first son entered university at 15 in US too. Please help me to share this post to enable us reach the families. They should contact me immediately or contact the school management.
This is the type of empowerment we want in Igbo land.

ReplyDeleteGood news .
God bless mr VC.
Which one is gregory university kwa
ReplyDeleteGUU is one of the best accredited private universities in Nigeria today. Academics and discipline is top class. Medical and Engineering faculties are of global standard. My wards are doing great there
DeleteThis is so lovely and a nice one by the VC. God bless him so much.
ReplyDeleteOH!!! This is great , I have been weeping for these boyz. Sir VC , may the good Lord give you long life and more prosperity.
ReplyDeleteNice one Sir
ReplyDeleteAge has nothing to do with one's admission to the university, so far as the student merit's the nesssary requirements for admission,I see no need of denying them admission.
Why then was the form processed if they weren't up to age? The system would have rejected it seeing that the year falls below the required age.
DeleteGood question
DeleteMy dear ,age is part of the requirements you are talking about.
DeleteCan any Lawyer here tell us more about
ReplyDeletethe NUC act that stipulates that the
admission age for Nigerian universities is 16?
There seems to be a conflict of legality here.
Simple....God bless him
ReplyDeleteThey should not accept oooooo. Lol !which kain uni be day self.
ReplyDeleteWaoooooooo
ReplyDeleteCongratulations
Pls what country or the sate is the school
God bless you VC !!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to them
Saw a video of a guy who drank sniper because he failed jamb.
Wowwwwww This is Good News o..
ReplyDeleteGreat news. Igbos are people of good heart. May God bless him richly
ReplyDeleteWOW!!!This is good news
ReplyDeletecongrats to the kids...but i hope d uni degree has value
ReplyDeleteLol. Good question
DeleteOne of the best
DeleteThe gesture is great but maka why? Those boys should not step their foot in any Gregory University pls. They shld defer the admission, do change of school if possible or take Unilag to court and demand their admission.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of the school and some people here are saying its one of the best, how could it be and not heard of.
DeleteThe Uni is good and it's recognized.
ReplyDeleteWell done Prof Gregory. You will never lack.
Maybe this age of a thing for admission depends on the school because my daughter got admitted in one of the federal universities in east at 15 yaers of age.
ReplyDeleteThat's a UNI with no standard
DeleteHmmmm yet the abroad we copy and all want to migrate to you can’t wbtee Uni at 15. Do you realize you need more than book knowledge maturity is key , 15 years is the original age for JS3 or max SS2.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you poster. We send children to the university who are jot matured in any way. And can't take good decisions for themselves. And easily manipulated.
DeleteMay God help this children.
A 15 years old should still be in high school. All this kids that are not ripe for uni shldnt be sent to one . I would do unilag over any Nigerian private uni though. My personal opinion
DeleteWow great news! Congratulations
ReplyDelete...Wow GUU! knowledge for tomorrow!!! am proud of my vc
ReplyDeleteIts now the turn of those lads to deny a university. Which one is GUU again? Hearing that name for the first time.
ReplyDeleteLol
DeleteThey shouldn't accept if the Uni and course they want to study is not fully accredited. Passing through a glorified sec schoolpassed off as a Uni is worse than not going to Uni so they shouldnt jump at the offer without checking all these.
ReplyDeleteWe have no way of nurturing precocious and highly intelligent kids at early age in this country. Instead of outright denial, Unilag shld have still given admission, but put forward till they are of age, thereby guaranteeing their educational future #thinkingofabetterNigeria
ReplyDeleteThat's it but I don't see anything wrong in going to university @ 15
DeleteI'm in support of the denial.....i trust my University of Ibadan, they wont even think twice....At 15 ,a typical Nigeria child lacks the mental and psychological requirements to survive (at his best potentials) in our derailing education system in Nigeria Universities.
