    1. You're absolutely correct. My father used to say that he doesn't believe somebody is educated until they have a masters degree. In his words, " the person's head will now be correeeeect". He says there's a level of maturity undergoing a master's or any post graduate program brings to your life. That you start seeing things differently and you become more mature.

  8. Ofcourse. Knowlege sets you apart unknowingly. People walk into a crowded place and spot you. They come to a forum like this, somehow you stand out.
It is not your fault. Most Nigerians hate a show of knowledge, decorum, class, guts, confidence, discipline, etc The list goes on.

They try to drag you down to face me, I face you fights. They can’t fathom why you are how you are. You hear things like: He forms,Hes too proud,He thinks he is too good for this. In essence they are jealous of you. They want what you have built for youself. They want to steal the image you spent years building or atleast dissuade you from being you.
Truth is, set yourself apart from the crowd. Refuse to be bullied. Remember they did worse in pri/sec school and you survived anyways.
They haven't figured themselves out, how do you know changing into their numerous instructions of who they want you to be is even the right thing?

Most importantly, Raise your kids well ooh! You need to see what the world is churning out. Its stiff out there. Kids are doing amazing things. Self confidence 120%

Ebuka, I rove you longtime. Don’t listen to them ooh. Na dem!

    3. Aunty there's a huge difference between Arrogance and self Confidence and in this part of the world we tend to massage our Pride ridden ego with the "It's because I'm self confident" Bullshit.

Is he the only educated celebrity!..that people keep complaining about his smelling attitude that stinks to high heaven. To have even rubbed the Four degree bullshit to our faces is a proof that he has an attitude Problem and I'd advice he checks it before it ruins him in the long run.

I've seen Phd holders who are still in their 30s and have a whole lot going for them personally(Not wealth gotten by association)who are humble as f*** so I'd advice you stop associating getting a degree/Degrees as a propeller to having a foul attitude.Thank you

Me nko, I wish I realised earlier that confidence is not arrogance. Come and see all the disrespect and crap I’ve seen all in the name of being humble. Operating without boundaries, talking to all and sundry. People don’t value anyone who places no value on themselves.

      Self confidence Is very important.

  10. This dude is proud, plain and simple
    four degrees and so what?
Some people have more that that and are
very humble e.g. of Nigerians, Alex Ekwueme had up to six
same with Zik ... There is an American with 56 degrees
google it. You hardly hear his voice.
Nigerians of these days has a way to be arrogant and stupid.
Dude, you do not know nothing. You probably are tucked in
the corner of that little field of study you read.

  15. Arrogance and confidence are two completely different things. Ebuka’s four degrees should have taught him that. That you feel your four degrees makes you a know it all is probably arrogance. Most of the people who rule the world in various fields have no degrees

    ReplyDelete

    1. 18:02 You have a 'degree' of sense that many here can never aspire to.

    1. The day he came for a meeting with a few other celebrities in our restaurant others were friendly to the servers and those around but dude was acting like the next best thing to happen to Nigerians after jellof rice.

As the PRO of the place I went to say hi to them after the meeting and most of them were friendly but dude just wore straight face like he was expecting me to jump on him as Deputy Jesus that he is...I just shook the hands of those around and equally snobbed him and walked out.Rubbish

      Delete
    2. You are the one with serious inferiority complex going by this rubish you just said here.

      Delete
    3. So keeping a straight face makes one proud? So your grouse with him is that he’s not shining teeth with you? Do you know him before that he must shine teeth with you? Do you shine teeth with everybody who comes to meet you? Do you know if he wasn’t int the mood that day? You should check yourself that you don’t have complex issues.

    4. Adabekee courtesy demands that he smiled and at least said hello when I came to introduce myself to them and get feedback of how they were treated during their time at our place.

Is he bigger than Basketmouth that was all friendly or is he more influential than Daddy freeze. Some of you talk like toddlers I swear

  20. Except he has become proud since becoming famous...the Ebuka i know from Gwags has always been like that...friendly but distant at the same time..very decent guy...not into babes and speaks with plenty wisdom...

  21. Nigerians confuse arrogance with self confidence. Most of them are borderline rude. There's a thin line between both though! I have seen well read people that are super confident yet approachable and sweet. I have also met those that "are not well" and they tell you they are self confident. Every normal person knows the difference between being self confident and being arrogant. Full stop!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Igbo people can proud for life

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ebuka, I wish you were reading this. Don't mind them. I can sense your humility as you consciously downplayed your confidence a bit. You have more than you're showing off. The most obvious you did not even mention at all. What about the fact that you're effortlessly easy on the eye? All over the world, good looks is an asset to an extent. Let them take it or leave it. That is the main reason they see you as arrogant. Na complex dey worry them. They are only envious. We humans are obsessed with good looks. It's a natural phenomenon and it's not going away anytime soon. And now! 4 degrees at your age and with the nature of your job is a big deal. It inspires me. Your total package is lit. Don't mind them! Only you, handsome, fashionista, confident, intelligent, young, fortunate, lucky etc. You're not gay, you're a father to adorable babies and husband to an amazing wife. She comes from an enviable home and she's not a brainless slay queen. Only you o! No baby mama scandals. No scandal that I've heard of. Again, you're fairly comfortable, you're not exactly faking it till you make it like the many of them. Of course, you have places where the shoe pinches, like everyone one else but on the average, you seem to be doing fine. Lucky you, man!

HOWEVER, a study revealed that the more people know, the less they believe they do and vice versa. So, there lies my confusion. I'm going to suggest you don't blow your own trumpet after today. Just ignore their PHDs(Pull Him Down syndrome).

Although I've learnt that in this country, people can frustrate you when you're not the showing-off type. Sometimes, we get pushed to that point just to set the records straight and I think that's where you got to today.

  24. For someone who has inferred he is passionate about learning, I'm amused that you're too lazy to educate yourself on pronouncing simple English words correctly. Especially since you have a job as a host of programs that requires you to communicate in English language. Please Sir, BBN season 4
airs soon. I don't want to hear you say "favowright".

  26. He is actually arrogant..ran into him at the lagos airport and tried to say hi...He acted in a very rude and condescending manner....vowed never to repeat such afterwards...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Many of you don't get it. Lack of confidence can make you start looking for some kind of Degrees' validation that won't happen. Can he compare his confidence to people like Bill Gate, Mark of Facebook, Jack ma, KWAM 1, Dangote etc etc. Their confidence is seeing in what they've stepped out alone, I mean on their own to do in life without no ones back up. Not even with certificate!
