    3. my brother's actions the three of them has taught me a lot, they didn't marry all those sisters that came to our house to wash and clean oo, those guys married those in the same career path as theirs and when they came to our house they barely even know the road to the kitchen until after marriage. the koko b say be urself parents nowadays dn't judge by the cleaning and washing u can do it is by their son's choice

  8. πŸ˜‚ But I beg to disagree. Not all of them. Some don't do all the chores in the house but one common thing is that most ladies are very docile on their first meet with in-laws- as per they don't want to show their real self.

    1. I show her myself o,infact that's not me on a good day. I just decided not to follow her to the kitchen on my first visit and I'm still thanking God that I didn't because right now she'd have turned me to her help. I portray myself as a lazy person, up till now. I only do when I can,it is not mandatory abeg

    2. Reminds me of the first time I went to visit my MIL....she said she wanted to eat pounded yam and I told her plainly I don't know how to pound yam. I asked her to show me how to and she ended up pounding the whole yam by herself.
      😭
She wanted to start the whole ..so my son wouldn't eat pounded yam sob story but I told her her son has changed and doesn't eat pounded yam anymore and true true my hubby doesn't eat Pounded yam

  9. Not everyone abeg, when I first met my father in law, I fixed very long nails and everyone was okay with it. Nobody asked me to clean anything and I didn’t volunteer either. Anyway I didn’t even sleep over, we left after the visit.

I always tell people don’t start what you cannot finish, you go and be doing house help up and down later you will start complaining that the in-laws have turned you to their slave. Nowadays when we travel for Christmas, I do the ones I can do and face front.

    1. That is it don't start what you can not finish.,be you. The first time I visited my SIL the only thing I did was to eat and took the plate to the kitchen and thank them for the hospitality. There is no point trying to please anyone, if they would like you they would and if they won't there is nothing you can do about it. No time for ojΓΊ ayΓ©.

This here just reminded me of a time I cleaned my ex boyfriend’s flat. It was so dusty and scattered with cobwebs and all when I got there. I swept, mopped and arranged the entire flat, by the time I was done and my ex boyfriend’s flat mate came back, he just stared at me and asked if I did the cleaning alone. In my head, I was wondering if he thought I had spirits that worked with me. Hahahahaha
Life! I was so in loveeee
That girl is so different now.

  22. Some of us see meeting the in law as a 2 way interview. As you are interviewing me so also I’m interviewing you. How they treat and entertain me in the first day is very important. Na me go ‘leave my papa house’. You better be worth it.

    1. I'm telling you. I was looking for any and every sign. Any perceived hostility would not have been entertained at all. My dad told me to study EVERYTHING, e said nothing is too small to be overlooked.
