Senate Adjourns Plenary For Two Weeks....

The Senate on Thursday adjourned its plenary session for two weeks to allow the National Assembly management work with an adhoc committee on welfare of the Senate to allocate offices and seats to the senators.

The break will last up to July 2 when both the management and the adhoc committee, headed by Sen Abubakar Kyari (APC, Borno), would have completed their assignments.

The decision to embark on the 2-week break was taken at a closed session of the Senate, which lasted for almost an hour. Members of the 9th Senate had their first sitting today, after their inauguration on Tuesday.

  1. Na today? Abeg make Dem scrap dat thing called NASS

  2. 2 weeks break after only 1 day of work. You see why they will KILL to get elected. There is no Democracy more useless than that of Nigeria. Totally worthless, spending Billions on Salaries and Allowances while constitutional representation is absolutely zero. The masses are not paid minimum wage- and each year the house votes against a pay-cut bill . Shows how much they care.

  3. They have started again, and they are going to be paid for those two weeks,I think it is high time we make this legislative arm of government a part time business.

    1. That is the best solution but unfortunately same legislature must pass it to law but they won't for personal gain.

  4. Didn't these ones just resume yesterday???? Smh
