Commissioner for Basic Education Prof. Kate Omenugha, in a statement by the ministry’s spokesman, Mr. Nnaemeka Egwuonwu, said the deadline was in line with the earlier directive of the Minister of Education to disengage teachers without requisite teaching qualifications.
According to the commissioner, the reminder also stated that qualified teachers should be registered and licensed with TRCN in line with Section 17, sub-section 2 of the enabling law establishing the council. “I advise those teaching without the requisite qualification to acquire same before the December deadline,” she said.

How were they employed in the first place? I just hope there's no hidden motives in all this. Before sacking any, I hope they pay them their salaries.

ReplyDeleteThat's always the problem. Only ever dealing with one side of the problem. Have they recruited the qualified teachers to replace those to be sacked. So they will sack and the students will teach themselves right
