A former Minister of Education and Youth Development, Professor Ben Nwabueze (SAN) has announced himself as the leader of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s legal team.

The renowned lawyer made a brief appearance on Thursday morning before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) in Abuja, to make the announcement.

The 87-year-old Prof Nwabueze was brought in on a wheelchair.

  1. Interesting.... I don't see Atiku winning this case. It's easier for Nigeria to disintegrate than Atiku been granted justice. Buhari will rather die or share the country than relinquish power to anyone, knowing the agenda and plans he has started creating for his kinsmen the Fulanis.

    1. Very correct TeeJay.

I have a theory. The case drags on for three and a half years then Atiku wins. Keeps the Presidency in the North and avoids a SW President by Osibajo or Tinubu.

    2. Your opinion and doesn't make it the truth. You can't back up all what you wrote up there with fact if you're asked to do so..

    3. I don't think so anonymous. Atiku has 180 days(six months) after the election in securing justice of his stolen mandate from the election tribunal up to the supreme court. Guess what? Five months has elapses and the case is yet to be determined. There's a limited time for this case hence the weekly hearing.

Even in the next election, power won't leave north. Save this comment if you can. Tinubu will be humiliated and dumped at the long run. Maybe you don't know these Fulanis have an agenda to fulfilled. I see Ribadu being favour to run for presidency. They have started protecting him from scandal, the reason he hasn't been given any national job so as to project the 'integrity' stunt. Only time will tell.

    5. Anon 16:04, Atiku is a Fulani with a different mindset and orientation. He is more of a cosmopolitan being than the fanatic we have now. I doubt Atiku reason like the one we have now. He is more business inclined than a religious and sectional bigot.

    1. What part of your brain did tell you that Igbos would have been given the Presidency even if all the Eastern States have voted for Jubril abi Buhari? Without the Presidency and the marginalization, aren't the Igbos doing better than those that have held unto powers for over 40years? Are the Igbos improvished like the northern state that has no good schools, drinking water or houses? Can you compare both tribes in business wise? Please anonymous say something different if you aren't hallucinating.

  3. Old man, why not go and rest and remain an elder stateman that you're, instead of letting yourself be dragged into a fruitless activities...
You should be at the back, advicing the these men instead of involving yourself and coming to the forefront.

You're part of the people that championed the independent of this country, why not throw in the towel and put yourself in position of respect.

    1. No DON, I disagree with you again on this. Yes he is an old man but had it been Nigeria is a sane cline or had live up to the expectations of its founding fathers, there wouldn't have been need for this old man to still be speaking at this point, rather he will be enjoying the fruit of his labours. In an interwiew granted to one of Zik's son, do you know he said at the last moment of Zik on a sick bed, he had a sigh and bitter image of the one Nigeria he projected. I bet you, Zik didn't die a proud Nigeria.

DON can I ask you this minute? What happened to the line we sang those days in the national anthem that the labours of our heroes past shouldn't be in vain? Nigeria is beyond redemption.
