DeleteI have neighbours that are northerners and muslims.The man was transfered to another city very far away from home,first wife has 3 kids,2nd wife has 2.When 1st wife is travelling to hubby's base,she goes with her youngest and 2nd wife's youngest.While 2nd wife stays home to watch the other kids while they go to school.when it is 2nd wife's turn to go visit the man,she also goes with the 1st wife children because her shift runs during long vacation.They rotate every 3-six months,depending on who hubby wants to come.The man buys the same thing for each wives,from head to toe,the exact same thing.They dress alike some times.I am friends with the first wife though,because she has been so kind and lovely to me since I moved in the compound,3 years I still marvel at their way of life and how they live peacefully.And the second wife is the man's cousin,that's when I found out muslims marry their cousins.The man is their sole provider and he takes very good care of them.
I think the polygamy marriage works based on the individuals involved.If the women are both good with it,peaceful people and wise,The man treats them equally,no favouritism,the younger wife is respectful towards the first wife and they both regard each other.e.t.c
