  2. Very useless country. What was the reason of closing the borders in the first place if not to grow the economy by local productions. Haven't Aba been producing military wares including boots before? So they can't encourage local producers in Aba to do that but will hurriedly shut down the borders affecting the southern Nigeria but the northern borders opened.

Whoever still believe in one Nigeria is sick in the brain and a mistake of a living being. Nigeria is very insane and a terrible place to live in. I can't even wish anyone to be a Nigerian.

Sunflag, woollen and synthetics also in Lagos makes good Military wear, even para-military wears too. Not too long ago the government signed an MOU with them too.
I think this government is just confused.
The manufacturing industries has the capacity to employ hundreds of Nigerians but our government believes in "foreign" things than growing the economy of the country. Stella please post.

  12. As a security personnel, I can't over emphasis on it's risks. Another country making ur security uniforms, esp an Islamic one, haba. Easy to get to boko terrorists, easy to enter military installations, easy to set a timer bomb all across the nation. See how porous this bubu has made us. If I say my mind now, Stella will chop my comments. Anyway, God dey.

  14. I really understand what our leaders are doing... We preach about resuscitating the local industries and now we dash Turkey the jobs of our youths.... The few surviving textile companies still have capacity and are pleading to be given jobs... What exactly is wrong with this country?
If they feel the local companies can't meet standards then they should put in efforts in building to make them meet international standards and not kill them.

  16. it’s a shame that all of you did not read the content of the post including Stella. There is nothing wrong in establishing a clothing factory that will produce the clothes in Nigeria. Biased mindset.

    1. No, we read the story very well. Why a Turkish company in a Nigeria soil? This should be the question. Will America or even Turkey gives a Nigeria company a sophisticated contract as such in their countries?

  19. There’s a lot of gullibility in Nigeria. The govt pleaded with Nigerian companies to invest but they all ran back and refused to have faith in their country,a Turkish company eventually decided to take the risk and everyone is shouting up and down.It reminds me of what happened in my estate in Lagos. The estate authorities asked people to invest in keke napep for estate shuttle,no one answered but one old woman.when they realized how much money she was making they all decided to start doing it but it was too late, the estate gave the woman monopoly over it.Nigerian rich politicians prefer to stash their stollen wealth in the UK,Dubai etc instead of investing it here.its kuku our money and no matter how small, every business is a risk.
