Nigerian Senate To Reduce Political Parties From 91 To 5

The number of political parties currently participating in elections in Nigeria are 91 and the Nigerian Senate has said that it would cut down the number to 5 parties.

The Senate stated this at a meeting with the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission on Wednesday.

I only know about three Political parties in Nigeria so to know we actually have 91 is a big shock!!!

  2. Five is even much to say. It should be reduced to two just like the 1993 era between MKO and Tofa. American has just two as well, so also some African countries. I wonder how we get to that number in the first place. Maybe the government makes a whole lot of money from it.
