Mrs Dee's Corner - When The Woman Of The House Is Indisposed..

Women are really the backbone of the family but our men get so used to our daily sacrifice and being there all the time that they take our efforts for granted.

They begin to assume our input is nothing that can't be handled if they were to be in our shoes.

Due to too much work and stress, I fell seriously ill recently, I was bedridden for three days without an ounce of strength to even get up from the bed.

The whole house chore now fell on hubby.

The first day,it took him one hour extra before he finished bathing the children and getting them ready for school..

The cooking, cleaning, washing were in his hands and he felt the pressure of trying to do so many things at once.

Before i fell ill, each time I complained of aches and pain, he would just say sorry for peace' sake. His expression always portrayed 'is it not to just take care of the kids and you're always complaining? '

The three days I was on bed rest took its toll on him. Even though I pitied him a bit, I was happy he experienced what I go through every day of the year.

Kudos to women who manage to put it all together.

*Lucky you...When I am indsposed i must still do what i have to do or get a help to come do it cos I am married to a very busy man work wise....

    2. She's not lucky Biko...... most times it's better to engage a help to do those things than having the man do them.

  2. I love men who appreciate their women for all they do.
Some men think it’s a woman’s life/job to do house chores and all. They make it look like it’s simple.
I remember when he told me “you make cooking seem like it’s one big thing” I said YES it is. Cook something let’s compare then. He chose to prepare beans. My God 😱nothing he didn’t put inside the cooked beans. The taste was horrible, he couldn’t eat it. That was the last day he ever raised shoulder with me concerning cooking.

You sound so combative...and this kind of behavior puts men off.
You've got to mellow. You set the year 2020 and you are getting ready
      to war?
      It doesn't happen that way.
I wish you God's help in your quest to conceive.

    2. You people are just like wicked for nothing on this blog. 13:32 did you just learn the word *combative*? What did that anon say that warranted that? Nawa for all of una...

    3. I agree with 13:32 you really need to take time and breathe. You sound so stressed out. Its not good in yout TTC state, while pregnant or after childbirth

Hope you are not one of those " I have arrived women after child birth" Calm down and discuss it with your husband have a common ground

    4. 13:13 it is obvious you are stressed out. Try to do all you can to rest and do things that will help you relax. Also don't listen to what people say. If you need a help now get one. Don't postpone your happiness for you know not what the future holds. You've got to take care of yourself as when there is life there is hope.

  4. Yes, we women do a lot to keep the home going and the kids well behaved.
Any man who does not appreciate this is a horse-band and not a husband.
That "for peace sake" I read up there is not appealing at all. Kindly in
a very polite tone tell him to withdraw that (if you are not comfortable with
    it like I do).
But make I ask my ajuju n'ese okwu oo 😊😊
When a Sisi get long nails attachment like vultures
or vampires, na those fingers she go use do all those
washing plates and bathing the kids?😮😮
Ajuju ka m juru oo -Na question I ask give my Naija girls so
Cell phones -yes, cell phones and social mmebi?
A lot of Naija sisis are busybodies on social mmebi.
Their phones beep like pipiro and they don't care if their
pikins fall into the fire. Some are even looking for "abroad
fiances" even when they are married...oops wedded, was it not
    here we read am?
    Ajuju oo
And if oga wey suppose dey on top complain, these same tigers you see
on this blog fighting everybody with finish him off o.
Just note all those lady tigers that fight here, na them ooo

    2. Lol, I think it's fear. I rarely fall sick but when I do, my husband starts behaving like the world is ending.

    3. Well try to see that she gets extra help, rather than just praying. You see some women looking peng when they just got married and then 10 years later, they look like their husband's mother. Some men no dey try at all. In short next time, if she falls ill be strong and don't take ill yourself, pitch in and help.

  9. I have resolved to train my boy child the exact way a girl child would be. Before I moved out to my current state, I lived with three men that didn't pull their weights around the house. I practically did everything in the house but cleaning their rooms and toilets. If I travelled, I usually came back to a pig sty home. These are men preparing to get married next year. Grownn ass men. They didn't enter the kitchen if I didn't cook.

You let them get away with it. I use to remind my brother of go clean up when he drops things around and he got use to leaving any mess. Who will clean? And these one will want to marry a descent lady who will come and slave. It is well.

  13. When I'm indispose i still do little chores, else i will do double when im on my feet.
Not that hubby does not help....o but he will scatter everything i arrange in the helping process🤣🤣🤣🤣

  14. The only thing that remain for hubby is to ask me to wash his bombom when he finish defacating. Infact his own is on another level and the worst thing is that he does'nt appreciate me at all. He believes that his own duty is to put food on the table and nothing more.

  15. Same with my own hubby. When I had pneumonia when I was pregnant I told him to get the kids ready for school. Oga took offence that the manner I told him was rude; that i should have said it nicely. For your own children oh. I still ended up getting them ready.
