The second game was my favourite oh....I used to play that all day almost everyday and would win...lol

Oh how I played ten ten like my life depended on it.. We used to add swag to it sef, slightly raising our dresses while at it and 'carrying' face.. I also loved cooking. We would bring small rice with other ingredients, make fire and use kom kom to cook and sometimes we eat them too..

I played all of the games above and even more for a very short period since I was only allowed to play on Saturdays and my Saturdays were very tight.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't miss going to the field for football games for anything in the world ( I must wake up as early as 4:30am to cook our favourite Saturday's meal which is beans and then, head to the field) my dad would only allowed me to go to the field after perceiving the nice aroma of that beans😊😊😊😊😋😋😋
After football games, in the evening I will go for Judo training.

mobuyo (where we gather sand in the shape of a cone and place a broomstick over it, then take turns to pinch out little quantity of sand from the cone-shape. whichever person is unfortunate enough to cause the broomstick to fall, will get beaten by the rest of the group, hahahahahaha)

Those were good times. Kids these days are mostly indoors, God help me, I'll teach my kids games I played and even join-in to learn new ones they'll teach

ReplyDeleteIn those days, I was the chief of play play. Na we dey invent play play. We made 'bebi' with sweater then used wrapper to back it. I played with dolls, played catcher, tehteh, who is in the garden and all manner of play. There was no dull moment while growing up I tell you
ReplyDeleteMy daughter, was asking me last weekend about the games I played as a kids. So my children and I decided to play. We played ten-ten (although I forgot the rules), they loved bread and butter, especially the tug of war after. We played the "names of countries" game. There are some similarities to what they play now. She said suwe is like hopscotch. I miss my childhood!
