COVID 19 Lockdown - Naira Marley And Ex Guber Candidate Gbadamosi And Wife Asked To Apologise To Buhari And Gov Sanwo As Lagos Drops Charges Against Them

The Lagos State Government has withdrawn charges against Naira Marley, Babatunde Gbadamosi, and his wife Folashade.

The trio were arrested for defying the social distancing order of Lagos state when they attended a crowded party hosted by actress, Funke Akindele to celebrate her hubby's birthday , JJC Skillz.

While Funke Akindele and her hubby were charged to court and sentenced to 14 days community service and a fine of N100K each, Naira Marley and Babatunde Gbadamosi were given an out of court settlement.

Mr Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa , SAN withdrew the four counts charge filed against the three defendants.

Adegboruwa said the charges were dropped on the condition that they would;

1. Tender a written apology to President Muhammadu Buhari and governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

2. Write an undertaking promising to comply with the directives given by the president and the governor of the state.

3. In view of the danger which the state believes they have put themselves by attending a gathering of more than twenty people, they must agree to go on a 14 days isolation to protect other members of the public from any likely danger.
The defendants agreed to the conditions and the court adjourned the case to tomorrow, Thursday, April 8th for the prosecutor to brief the court on whether the conditions have been met and if they failed, they would have to be arraigned

  5. Apologies should be tendered to Nigerians via Social Media since the party video circulated through same.

    No written apologies to PMB or Governor Sanwolu.

    Democracy is the people/citizens (supposedly).

  8. I don't know how Sanwo or Buhari were offended, and to think this deal was brokered by a SAN. Fellow Nigerians were the ones put at risk. The apology should be to the public but the lawyer has a really strong taste for ass.

    I guess the punishment for the convener of the party would be more stringent than that of the attendees. I am looking forward to see how Gbadamosi would spin this with his future political aspirations. Naira already has more than enough problems. I even pity the guy.
