  1. Rhapsody Today!!

Your Life Is The Real Message!!
    2 Corinthians 5:18.

    Excerpts!!

"But did you know that much more than the things you say as you witness for Christ, your life is the real message? when people see you, what would be their testimony of you as it pertains to Christ"

"It's often said, practice what you preach, but the reverse preach what you practice is also right"

"People should look at you and see the results of your preaching. It begins with you digesting the Word for yourself; understanding it and doing the word in every situation"

"Don't be a professional preacher. No matter what you preach or teach, at the end of the day, the most important thing is the true life that you have inside; that's your real message"

    Today's Confession!!

My life is a message; a message of the divine life, of God's love, goodness, righteousness and true holiness; these are expressed unreservedly to my world. I'm yielded to the Word to culture my life and character, giving me the right mindset, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

    2. So many Government officials have actually floated this social distancing of a thing, why is funke the only one being arrested?
Yesterday, inside and outside the court were congested, no distancing at all and according to Yul Edochie, shouldn't they all be arrested?
Here in my neighborhood, a man celebrated his birthday and people came out to support him, lol.I guess he is not a celeb.
Social distancing is good for us all at this time but one person shouldn't be made a scape goat while the others are freed.

  3. NEW LEVELS OF RICHNESS

Make the moment enough, as it is. Allow yourself to be enough, as you are.

Maybe you don’t need all those shiny shallow things you clamor for. Maybe you could be living your dream, if you would just realize you already are.

Feel the peaceful relief when you let go of the conditions you’ve placed on joy. Know the freedom of being thankful for whatever may come.

See the great value of what you have, of who you are, of what you can do with it all. Understand the nature of the fortune that is already yours.

Treasure this time that is now, whatever it may hold. For it is a time when you can add entire new levels of richness to life.

Life is worth all you do to support it, to strengthen it, to live and to love it. And it is yours, now, in all its wonder and fullness.

So I'm wondering were it's coming from, cos the house is so clean like no one is staying in it. Our Dustin is not inside the compound but outside, were people turn it off every 2 days

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1

Father God, I pray for my sister who is reading this right now. Thank you that you are her Shepherd, and she shall not want for anything. In you, she has everything she needs to thrive. Help her to trust you to be her Shepherd and trust your leading. You have abundance for her even when it hasn’t yet materialized. Thank you that you will minister strength to her spiritual need, her emotional need, her physical need and her financial need. Every area of her life is being made strong. Father, after you have strengthened her, use her to strengthen others. When you have blessed her, use her to bless others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  13. Good morning stella and bvs. Grateful and alive.
Let me put this here this morning and stella please post it for me.
The whole thing started in December 2019 when Ikeja Electric signed agreement of 24 hours power supply with our 2 streets neighbor OGUDU GRA and began power sharing for us in Ojota. Presently our case in Victoria Street 1, 2 and Amao Street 1 in Ojota Kosofe Local Government Lagos State is what Ikeja Electric called light/power sharing i.e Two days ON and One day OFF which started immediately they signed the 24 hours power supply with our neighbor OGUDU GRA. We hardly enjoy power supply for 10 hours in every 3 - 4 days or out of the so called 48 hours (2 days ON) and at the end of the month we get N22,000 for a mini flat or 2 bedroom flat all in the name of estimated billing leaving us helpless, powerless yet imposing on us bills we never enjoyed despite the effort of Hon Gbajabiamila on power supply and estimated billing matter. Now we are at home because of Coronavirus, no light, the little food stored in the fridge getting bad no money to buy another one. Heat is making us sick yet Ikeja Electric will come with estimated billing at the end of the month. This is greatly unfair, frustrating and depressing. *_Coronavirus_* *_outside_* **depression** *_inside_* where do we go? We appeal to Hon Rotimi Agunsoye representing Kosofe constituency and Hon Gbajabiamila to look into this matter. We are suffering in Ojota.

    1. God bless you for this post, this is more than serious. I live in Victoria street1, yesterday was the 2nd on day honestly they did not give us light until past 8 in the night and before you know it they switched it off again and today is our off. I dont know the sin we have committed oh, now we are at home not allowed to go out,yet no light, and Ogudu GRA is enjoying 24/7 light, mind you am.not against it oh because in a sane country everyone should be able to boast of 24/7 light but when some set of people are now enjoying it at the detriment of others then it has become the story of the rich above the poor in a country where we should all have equal right.for how long are we going to do this? Heat everywhere, we can't stock food at home hmmmmm they need to do something oh and restore our light. E joor Olorun o ni so yin sinu okunkun aye o.

If you are in Lagos, you can check Arena or lawanson to see if you can still fix it.

    3. How did you managed to break the handle?

They usually come with skrewed-in handles.

You can use clay to join it to the main body.

@ Cyclone I was trying to open it after it has cooled off. I guess I wasn't patient enough to move the handle in the right direction and it broke.

My husband and i come from a place where if you belief in the tradition you dare not go for family planning, you have to keep birthing babies till your husband feels its okay, then you go for some ritual to put and end to giving birth, only then can you ho for family planning.

  19. This is going to be a long and well, uninteresting read. If you hate 'epistles', keep scrolling. Okay here we go!

One evening in February 2019, my brother, Emy, called me.
"Esomchi, I want you to help me buy some books. They're about five, I'll send you a list and some money for it".
"Five? What do you need five books for? Are they law books? Must be expensive. How will you get the money"? I asked.
"Don't worry. I'll chat with you tomorrow". He replied.

Two days later, he sent a list.
    1. Rich Dad Poor Dad.
    2. The Richest Man in Babylon.
    3. The Millionaire Next Door.
    4. The Science of Getting Rich.
    5. The Magic of Thinking Big.
    6. How Rich People Think.
    7. Secret of Ages.
    8. Think and Grow Rich.

    Eight motivational books!

"Emy, what do you need all these books for. Clearly, they're not your school books, why spend money on these motivational stuff"? I typed angrily, my phone screen almost crying for help.
"Just buy them. I really need them. Check your mail, I just sent money to you. It will cover the cost of books and transportation to wherever you can get them". He replied.
I checked my messages, he sent 20k.
"How did you get the money? And we both know 20k is too much for the books".
"I don't know how much books cost in Abuja, I hear things are quite expensive there. Anyway, I got some money from my writing gig".
Yeah, he writes for a living, among other things. He's quite good at it.
"Don't they sell the books in Lagos"?
"Bookshops are far from where I stay. I'm quite busy with studies right now. Help me please".
"So how will you get the books"? I asked.
"Just buy them first. Original, fake or pirated. Anyone. Buy it yourself. Please treat as urgent".
"Emy, you can read some of these books online. Just download Anybook app. Why waste money"?
"Esomchi, just buy the books. Dammit! Good night".

The next day, after I dropped my daughter at the daycare, I went in search of the books. After about four hours, I'd gotten only four. Two bookshops told me to come back the following week for the rest. I went home.

"How far"? He asked me that night.
"I only got four, which cost #3800. Next week, I'll get the remaining. So, I guess we'll wait until I get the rest, then I send everything to you?" I replied.
"Can you make a video call so I'll see the books"?
    "What"?
"Please, I just want to see that you got exactly what I requested".
    "Right"!

I made the call. My daughter, Muna was fondling the books when Emy appeared on my screen.
"OK, here we go". I flashed the books one after the other on the screen as I called out their titles. "Rich Dad poor Dad, The richest Man in Babylon, Think and grow Rich, the Magic of thinking Big. That's all. Are you satisfied"?
"Yes. I am. Good job. Hello Muna, how are you. Say hi to me.... OK, let's get back to chatting.

"Look Esomchi, there's no point waiting for the books to get complete. The books are for you. I want you to read every single one of them. Set money aside for the remaining four, get something for Muna with the balance". His message read.
    "The hell, Emy"?

The new cases in abuja are more of Muslims and Christians not cos they travelled but they came in contact with someone who did. How you ask? Mosque. I say let them kill themselves...Nigeria will be better off without them.

"If I ever come across a huge money from any of my deals, I will give you a part of it for business. I want us to have money, we've suffered enough. Read those books as if your life depends on them. Jot down plans that come to your mind, research about them and brainstorm. Goodnight".

That night I read one chapter of Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad. It was a good read, I was motivated to read more. I read some more in the days to come, the guy was making a whole lot of sense but kai, to me, 'his own was too much abeg'. At a point, I just lost interest in whatever he was saying, I dumped the book on top of my wardrobe where the rest were. My brother would call and ask how far I'd gotten with my reading, I'd lie. After a while, he found out I wasn't reading. He stopped asking. I never bought the other four.

I eagerly expected to hear good news and possibly get some money from him as was promised but that didn't happen because the person who was supposed to sign his deal was indicted for crime and sacked. His hopes were dashed. Mine too. But we encouraged each other.

I continued my business, moved to a new apartment in May, applied for jobs, I even paid to get a job, part of the money borrowed. Didn't yield result.
September was a very tough month, never had it that bad. Emy was ill. With a dear friend's assistance, we went to Lagos to see him. Came back to Abuja after a few days with nothing. But I pushed on. I made pap, zobo, ran errands etc. December, my dear friend revived my kpomo business for the season's sales. It was quite successful, I made a lot of sales. Looked forward to continuing in January but PHCN struck me hard December ending. We went from having light 18hours a day to two-three hours. I'd just stocked up my freezer on the 7th of January when our transformer blew up. I managed to dry some pap but every other thing went bad. I lost so much.
I enrolled my daughter in school that week with almost all I had.

The following Monday, I took her to school, came back home as usual and thought about my life. All I had was my daughter, an empty freezer and a Bsc. How long will I continue like this? I burst into tears. I cried for almost three hours. I thought of my parents and suddenly longed to see their face. I have a very beautiful photo of them in my suitcase. I don't put clothes in that box, just files, books, belts and photos.

When I opened the suitcase, the first thing I saw was a green cover book. I looked at the title 'The Richest Man in Babylon'. One of Emy's gifts to me. I brought it out, closed the suitcase and went back to bed. I laid down and started reading...

Good morning everyone. To be continued.

you have never taken time to read that chapter in Proverbs 31.
    Let's read a verse today:

Proverbs 31:17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

  31. So I’m thinking I am 26 to be 27 this year and most of my male friends think I am old and the relationship I ve sef. Guy man still doubt my age cos he can’t believe I look so young. I want to get married this year. I don’t even know how it’s possible bcos I’m a bit stubborn, not very assertive, independent and too emotional. I feel old already

    2. Stop putting pressure on yourself. I noticed something once you move your focus to making yourself better,or work, hobbies. Love will find you dear when you aint looking.let dem keep doubting your age its not your problem. Work on your cons and strengthen your pros. All the best.

    3. Oh my goodness what did I just read. Just 27 and the men around you consider you old?? PLus you then go on to devalue yourself. Please pick up yourself esteem from where you dropped it!!! Work on yourself and your self esteem. Develop a Godly character. Widen your circle. Scrutinise any man that approaches you. Carry yourself like a jewel and you will be treated like one.

    4. Okay. You and your male friends think you are old but your boyfriend thinks you are young.

I hope whatever situation you end this year, whether single or married is exactly right for you and where you should be at that point in time.
You have to ease up on the pressure and believe that what is yours will come to you at the right time.

    5. I saw one Anonymous comment yesterday, the person said she no longer know how to cook a pot of soup. She is a career woman, I really felt for her.

I don't have issues with people having helps in the house to do all kinds of house chores... At least, we all should know how to do the basics.

When you have kids, you start prioritizing. Kids that are not well fed healthy foods, will soon start having health issues because they lack the essential nutrients that helps build the immune system.

Some people no longer have house helps, they are left to do things themselves now. The question is, are they able to do these things themselves?!
      Food for thought

    6. So what happened to his hands? Can't he cook??? Are they not both in the house on lockdown??

  34. Yes to the days just passing, not fast and not slow just a steady rhythm.

The people here are not social distancing nothing, only thing closed are markets, everyother store is open.

So I bought a 250l chest freezer from Hisence in February. Yesterday, I opened my freezer to get something and discovered my proteins were thawing and there was water at the bottom of the fridge. The light here is really good so it wasn't a no power issue. Turns out the freezer had stopped working, just like that.

It's practically a cupboard now with lights. I tried calling their service centre since it's still under warranty, all their numbers were switched off. So I decided to drive to the showroom I bought the freezer, they were open but their service centre was closed. I don't understand how the sales area is open but the service centre is closed because of Corona... if you're shutting down, then shut the hell down. What's with leaving your sales area open so you can keep selling and then shutting down your service area so you don't have to deal with customers and their issues.

Anyway they said they will be open next week, I'm waiting for them, see if they won't carry their dead piece of crap and give me a better one. Rubbish

P.s- I don't even know why I'm ranting here 😅😅😂😂😂😂. If you finished reading, then you must be super bored...😂😂😂💃💃💃💃💃😅😅😅😅😅
