Saturday In House Gists - How Men React When Their Wives Are In Labour..

Some men are strong but break down when they see their wives in labour....
Some are string and become even stronger after the labour room drama......

This question is directly for the men reading - How did you react when your wife was in labour?Did you go into the Labour room?Did it have any effect on your relationship with her afterwards?

Women , did your man react in the labour room?Did it have any effect on the relationship?

When i was in the Labour room,i took one look at my hubby and saw him shaking like a leaf,it was bad and they had to ask him out at a point ..lol

How do men really feel when their wives are in labour?do you cry with her or get upset when she screams?

After he saw the pain i went through,he made more efforts to appreciate me and the gbneshing went down for a bit cos he was scared to touch or hurt that CS spot.....I have zero tolerance for pain so it took me a while to heal....

    1. Funny enough,my hubby always take me to the hospital, but never around at the time of delivery. 1st one was at upth, bought everything on the list oh,d nurses said it was not the particular bleach needed,so he should go to the gate ro get another. That was d old upth,be4 guy man came back less than 5mins,nurses were like congratulations oh. Buy us drink, guy said no my wife just got here. That waa how he entered to see his son. 2nd baby new upth, got to labour ward. He was told to go bring my file as i was there the previous day for anti natal, by the time he got up,was another congratulations. Last pregnancy guy man dropped me in the hospital rumuomasi to go sign and take permission from office at trans amadi,he was not gone for 40mins,when i called him that i have had the twins. I could hear his scream he was just confused could not even drive back himself, his colleague had to bring him. I have always had very fast delivery no pain no tear. It haa always been God. In other words no one stays with me during delivery just God and myself.

  2. Hard guy man, hard guy man...when it is time to put in and out, you become a drilling machine, but when baby's head shows, you start weeping like a baby. I have seen a dude weep while the nurses had a field day laughing at him. Even the wife joined in laughing 🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️🀸🏻‍♀️

    1. My husband hides his fears so much and I'm an independent type.Always alone in the hospital... While in labor or push,I tell my baby/God 'You are my only hope and helper',boooom baby jumps out.My husband gets a phone call that baby don land.I prefer being alone in the hospital, don't know why.

  3. When we went to the hospital, they asked to check my BP which was ok, then they called on Oga to come so they can check his as well, turns out oga's BP was highπŸ˜†πŸ˜†... The nurse was like 'Oga but it's not you that's in labour na😊😊.. Please be calm everything will be fine.

  4. My hubby wasn't even around. He left wen I was 3 months. He has no feeling of knowing his wife or siblings or someone close to him give birth. He has never experienced it bf.I use to mock him and sometimes I will pity him. When he comes back, his daughter will be 2years.

  5. My 2 labour room dramas, my husband was there with me helping me to rub my back even when I asked him not stop. The nurses insisted that he should, and when he tried to, I bite him really hard.. I hate that rubbing of back eh, (it makes the contraction even worse to me o) so hubby had to borrow himself sense and he left me alone.. But he was encouraging (from a distance of course cos he dreaded what i might do next)to open my mouth and breathe instead of shouting..
In conclusion, he was really scared and kept praying till I had my baby.
The last labour room drama, hubby wasnt around but my bro in-law.
May God bless all ttcing women, so u will get to experience this.

  7. I haven't had labour room experience yet.
Praying and hoping it happens before the end of the year.
In a lighter note,I don't think I would want my husband to be in the labour room with me maybe my mother or Mother-in law.

  8. Make I enter anon mode on this one.
We had our first baby this month, so the experience is still very fresh.
Labour started late on Sunday evening, we dashed to the hospital and the doc said cervix was 3cm, to us, we thought it will dilate quickly, pain got very strong, the contraction thing, the next morning, doc checked again, it was 4cm, we learnt we've passed the latent stage, was happy cos they said active stage should be fast. We dey der till around 1pm, e no pass 4cm o, the pain became very unbearable for Wiffy, I never knew I could still cry cos I'm the type who wards of emotions and man up to situations quickly, but when we couldn't bear it anymore, we opted for CS. Menhhhh, I watched the whole process live... I wept and wailed like a crying wolf all through the process.... The respect I have for my wife and mother generally went from 75% to 100%, women dey try o, tchai
I've renewed my vows never to disrespect, beat nor cheat on my wife. I have never done it before but I am more resolved than ever before never to even contemplate it.
We are thankful for the bundle of joy God gave us.
I've disconnected with those aspiring side chicks sending me chats, for a fact, I knew giving them attention alone is infidelity.
To our women out there, may God continue to strengthen y'all and grant you long life to care for your child(ren)

  9. My wicked wizard of an uncle was shouting at his wife :"madam, can't you push? Why are you behaving as if to this is the first child you have given birth to,what's so difficult that you can not push and get up from there"...tueh.If this man was a small boy I would have landed him slap that day.He is my blood, my mom's brother, I can't ever marry his kind. And he will never allow this lady give birth in hospital,it's always all this native midwives them... the wife is so afraid of him. Wicked man.

  10. My brothere in-law was running helter skelter and when they eventually got to the hospital,at a point he couldn't bear it any more and ran away but came back later and decided to remain at the hospital gate. One of the nurses met him there and announced the good news to him. See him running like someone who scored champions league final goal.

My bro nko, that one too get mind. Of course he will accompany the wife to the hospital, stay with her and all but he'll be there recording everything in his head and on a very good day he'll demonstrate for the wife how she use to do in the labour room he will even mimic how she use to scream. The wife will just conclude that her husband no be am at all

Guy was so composed and he was just saying babym, you'll be fine. He was outside praying and playing "Farm heroes"😁. When he was told that our sweet baby had arrived, he came in to say, babe, thank you! with a kiss on my forehead😘😍. I won't forget that day. God bless us! Amen.

  19. My first preganacy my husband was always checking Google.
When we went for the first scan I was about 9/10 weeks pregnancy he asked why the baby looked like a tadpoleπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
When I was in labour, he kept asking Google what every sign means,it was annoying . He was so calm like he works in a Labor room.
He was totally involve in every stage. I was the scattered one.

My 3rd baby was different, I had a lot of complications with the preganacy and was constantly in and out of the hospital. While I was being wheeled to the theatre for an emergency CS he was crying like a baby ,begging the Dr to just save his wife. At the door he stopped me looking straight into my eyes ,he said baby don't die I can't do this . Please live
And am alive to God's glory.

  20. Hmm,my hubby hates the sight of blood and someone in pains!

My first delivery (elective cs),hubby just went to drop me and my mother at the hospital and ran away!. He said "call me when she delivers" "I can't stand it"," I can't stand it". "I hate to see you like this"!
To carry baby nko? Na war, chai! He was teased & laughed at on the day of d naming because he had to carry the baby from me to the pastor & from the pastor, back to me. He was just shaking...

My second delivery,he wanted to "run" away as usual but because my mom and godmother were there,he hung within the hospital environment with my first son.
He was called on phone when i put to bed(another boy). He wanted girls though... You need to hear him(before I had my first child) plan and fantasize about how he'll treat his girls) but na wetin God want for us,naim Him give us

  22. First pregnancy was emergency Cs, hubby and sister in law were there, my sister prayed all the prayers in the world and called so people to join her in prayers, hubby I was told was scared to carry the baby, so he only held him for a few seconds, and kept asking about his wife until I came out of the theater.
Second pregnancy I don't remember, maybe because I chose to forget it because it ended in still birth. The only word that keep echoing in my ears is "Murder" "this one na pure murder case" that's what doctors said when they brought my baby. I was later told hubby cried and was rude to some hospital staff after they showed him the baby. I never saw her and don't even what she looked like, God continue to bless her soul. She broke my heart.😭😭😭

  24. Hubby was with me all the way. Infact, when I got tired and was asking for cs.. He was just kissing my forehead and lips and encouraging me.. He actually looked and saw the head of the baby. He would go look at her at the corner where they were cleaning her and come back to me where I was getting stitched, saying she has your lips but she's dark like me. At a point, he was like lemme carry my daughter na.. It's taking too long. He was really a rock. I thank God for him.
