    1. But you know we all have a part to play...like not trying your gala and coke bottle out of a moving vehicle or while walking on the road, after consuming them.

    2. We are our own problem. The drainages are blocked by blocked head people throwing stuff on the road.

    3. Exactly we all have pur own part to play. This place is very close to my office, sometimes when rain start falling you will see some people bringing out their dirt to pour in the water even all those oyinbo's maid and to say lawma people do come often. Some people will be in the water and still spit out their phlegm in it.

  3. 2007 I was on transfer from Abuja to Lagos. The hotel i could afford was in Surulere. The room i lodged in couldn't take me when i stand straight. One small room carved out of the basement Had to bend to move around. But it was the cheapest i could get -my office was in V.I and i had to be in the office 7.30am. One morning i woke up to see this type of flood everywhere and it was still raining. What still amazes me till date is that i got up, took my bath, waded through the water until i got to where the flood reduced, walked a very long distance till i got a bus. All under the rain. What did i get from the organization eventually? Hmmm life. I left Lagos after few months of suffering. To think that where i work today is even worse. Here salaries are so epileptic that when you even get paid at all you receive half salary. I don't know when the suffering will end but i am getting so tired of everything.

    1. Please, don't walk on flooded streets or wade through the rain. Some people got electrocuted in the past doing just that.

Start a small business that will give you a fraction of your salary everyday. Save 10‰-30% of it daily.
For example, earn N1000 daily and save N100-N300 per day in a targeted Savings account that you can only cash-out/liquidate or reinvest after 90days/3months.

  6. I wish i could send you pictures of my street when it rains. It's not a good sight at all. And barely 30mins after the rains stop, the water would recede completely, so i can't help but wonder what causes it to flood in the first place.

    1. Input is greater than output. Once input stops, output quickly does the job.

  10. It wasn't a pleasant experience yesterday at all. My house was flooded with my kids floating on the bed. I was just praying for the rain to stop. I pray not to have that experience again.

  12. My house is close to the canal, so it makes my street flood once in 2 years, it's usually not a good experience. Those with high foundations have nothing to worry about, but those with low foundations like me, the whole house gets flooded with properties damaged.

I tried to redeem mine by breaking the whole house, refill with sand, case and tile again. It has cost me so much but at least there's a remedy. It's well.
