    4. If it's a regular occurrence, it may be signs of an underlying medical condition. It's called nocturnal enuresis and it might be a sign that something is wrong with his bladder or prostate. Hospital straight.

  14. No big deal. It may be a one off thing. If it isn't, we'd handle it together. I once had a roommate at the university who used to bed wet. We covered her well. I didn't talk about it to anyone outside my room. Even when she stole my mattress and made me go around looking for another one (the foolish geh, was even telling me where to search). Anyway, its just the drying of the mattress that may be an issue if we live in a compound with other people.

It was when we moved to my aunty's house that my head reset. 7pm, no more food, no more water. This woman embarrassed the fuck out of me. I thank God now, even if i drink 10 gallons of water before going to bed, nothing like bed wetting. God, I thank you.

  20. This is what I have been going through for years, my husband of 12 years bedwet, he uses adult diaper.
He had an accident 2 weeks after our wedding and that was it, we have tried all but to no avail. Doctors said he has to live with it 4rever.
We are used to it but the disgrace it brought to us 7years ago has caused unresolvable conflicts between our families.
We went for a burial and both family mambers came to the village, when it was bed time, because there were not enough room, everyone had to look for any comfy place to sleep.
I was with him and I saw how hard he tried not to fall asleep, he could use diaper because of the bulging.
I slept off due to cooking and long journey, I was awake when my sister started singing praise songs, I quickly looked around and saw the look on my family faces, and to worsen matter, the teenagers around were smiling corner smile.
I went to toilet and saw him smelling, he washed up and then we realized that the ashoebi clothes was in a Ghana must go bag and drenched from his pee.
I couldn't cry, they humiliated him and the whole burial plan was suspended.
We left them and my nephew called and I heard from background someone saying... Na pisipisi wife.

    I'll "calm down" first(very necessary).

After "calming down",I'll wake him up gently, urge him to go freshen up,I'll change the sheet afterwards, then wait for him to get back.

We gon talk about it calmly,I'll ask him if it happens frequently, if he says it happens frequently, we will both find a lasting solution to it.And if that's the first time,I'll just hug him and whisper to his ears that I understand, cos he would be so ashamed(poor guy),he probably thought he was in a bathroom. It happens to people most times, you get engrossed with sleep and just pee on the bed.

  27. This happened to me once when my friends with benefit slept over at my house so many years ago....Gosh! I almost died. I just couldn't sleep till morning. Had to explain to him that I had peed and don't know why his happened.

Even oga pleaded for grilled catfish for his late last night match. I hit the bed 11pm so weak I slept dreaming of urinating. Not until I felt the warmth before I woke up. Yet hubby understood and run the bath and changed the sheets by the time I was done.

  34. My husband has bed wet twice as a result of cold. The AC was on all through the night and he wet the bed. It wasn't a big deal at all. We handled it graciously. He was like "Sugar, I'm so sorry I wet the bed. I will clean it up right away." He refused me to help him clean it up. He said it was his responsibility. While cleaning, he was making some jokes and yapping himself lol. I just smiled and told him it was OK.
I have never mentioned those two incidents again.

  35. I will wake him up and make sure he’s okay.
My friend, woke up in the morning and found her husband in this condition. He had pooed and peed on the bed.
By the time she proceeded to clean him up, she realized he could not talk. Apparently, he had suffered a stroke about midnight. Wifey didn’t know till she woke up at 6am. Damage done but couldn’t be reversed. Doctors told her it could have been reversible if she had called 911 within three hours after he had the stroke.
He spent over a year in the hospital and rehab. Never regained use of his legs. she was able to take him home last year but sadly he passed on in February.
