When I was between the age of 5 to 7,I saw 2ghosts appear into our room at night in white.I was just looking at them. They were eating garden egg my mum bought the previous day and forgot to give it to us. I tapped my mum and told her what I was seeing, she stood up and went to that spot they were and they disappeared.when she came back to the bed ,they returned.I told her but this time she insisted I sleep. I was looking at them till cock crowed and they disappeared.

    2. We once had water scarcity when I was in school but I had a 20lt reserve hidden in my wardrobe. One midnight I tot it was my room mate knocking cos she went to read in the laundry just outside our room. Only for me to see a fair lady walk from the laundry with a small white bucket and stretched it towards me. I just believed my roomie must have told her I have water. I just brought out the water, poured for her and she walked towards the laundry. I dropped the jerrican and followed her to confront my roomie. I saw her enter that laundry but non of the girls reading in that laundry saw any such girl come nor go. I realised she never spoke a word to me, not even thank you. By the next morning I had a bad fever.

    1. I have encountered it twice. First was when I was young. A neighbour's son died mysteriously and we were told his ghost would come back home in the middle of the night in 3 days. Everyone was warned never to open the door for him and somehow, I felt it was a lie. I was 11 years then. Around 1am, it became windy and Lo and behold, there was a loud bang on his mother's kitchen door and a quirky voice crying. God, I died and woke up. He scattered everywhere and everything in the kitchen. I remembered tying my mighty to my sister's own so she drags me up when she's going to pee. We woke up to people gathered in the house cos they also heard the commotion.

    2. The second one was a few years ago. We were home around 5pm and heard a knock on the kitchen door.(this is another house). I went to open and didn't see anyone. It happened again and again, yet, nothing. 6:30pm,we decided to put on the gen. I pulled and pulled but it didn't come on. My mum asked me to lit the lantern (the old one with kerosene) but breeze won't let the match stick stay on the thread. I angrily told my mum something was wrong and someone has died. She asked me to shut up and do something to get the lantern working. Less than 10 mins later, a church member came shouting that the pastor has died. I just looked at my mum and she was surprised. The pastor loved my kid brother so much so I guess he came to say goodbye to him but he didn't even understand all that had happened.

  10. Never seen a ghost, but when my father died a lot of scary things happened to me, for instance on the morning of his burial, I was alone in the sitting room and I sat down on a chair, but my bum wasn't touching the chair, its like someone was carrying me on his leg. I wasn't scared until later when I thought of it

  11. Stella I lived in Australia when my father passed away. The time difference to Nigeria means that it was after here and I was awake. It was our last conversation and he was indirectly saying goodbye with some words. For the first time in 3 years, I fried akara and shared with my roomate that afternoon. I slept off and met myself in a place that looks like Dubai with everyone in white, he gave me a wristwatch and told me it was priceless. The time on the watch was 11:40 exact time by he died. All this happened within 3 hours, i woke up from the sleep and a black cloud entered my room. I was shocked and my eye follow the cloud. I wanted to call him to tell him of the strange happening but it would be around 4am in Nigeria so I waited. I ask my oyinbo friend and she said it is a ghost that came visiting. Two hours later, a call from Nigeria came in that he is dead. Also, on my wedding day, I was kind of sad, I wanted him around, I looked up and a white dove landed on my window staring at me. I spoke to it and said " Daddy thank you for coming". I went through severe domestic violence in the marriage and couldn't leave on numerous attempts. On the day I was to leave, before an incident which could have lead to my death, I saw him in my dream and he told me to leave that I married a useless man. The dream gave me courage to v leave the abusive marriage knowing he was always guiding and protecting me as my guiding angel.

  15. Oh my Stella! I have one! Thinking about it still gives me the 'chill' and I sometimes wonder if I was delusional then, I can't even tell my siblings.
So, it happened that afternoon that I wanted to take my bath (I was around 12years at the time) so i went to the bathroom and I heard the sound of a running tap 'oh, someone is inside, definitely one of my siblings since we are the only one using that bathroom'. So, I knocked 'Be fast joor' the water was still running and no one replied, the door was locked from inside. As a child, I was always scared, I feared everything but that day, I wasn't sure what pushed me-my curiosity probably override the fear-so I went out of the house, turned to where the bathroom window was and peeped through. I saw my mom bathing (I could only see her face through the window) and she was looking directly into my eyes while scrubbing her neck. At that point, it was as though all emotion and logic left my brain, I was struck in that position for about a minute, looking at her, I couldn't talk, couldn't scream, I was just calm, no fear, nothing!
After I came back to my senses, I turned around, entered the house and still went back to the bathroom. The door was opened wide, creaking and the place was wet but there was no one inside. So i went quietly to my room, checked everyone to see if I somehow mistook one of them for her but no, none of them had left the room. I kept quiet. She died some years before the incident.

  16. Yeah!
During an Xmas in the villa in the 1990s,was trying to pluck oranges behind the house when I felt a cold breeze, harmattan was on break and the weather was hot so it was strange, when I turned I saw a long aged woman staring right into my eyeballs, her gown was old and cream colored,I froze, she smiled and said I should leave the oranges and go pluck the ones close to her grave, there is a key on a dry bamboo stick lying about,I should give the key to a bowlegged man called Ezeani,he should remove the gallons of red oil in her old kitchen, move the woods there on the ground and dig out her safe containing her family documents and items her late husband handed over to her. I was like 'who are you?' She frowned and turned her head to the left and said 'e dinam ebe fu' I lay down there',she didn't point anywhere.

While she spoke, her very brown dusty teeth was releasing brown dusts and her eyeballs were brown and fiery too.
The palmkegs she insisted must get to Coal Camp in Enugu, shared in their old street or given to a woman that sells Akara somewhere in Calabar Street there called Nwunye Oluwa.

Then she said I should not use mmanu akagbe ever on my skin, else the spirits guarding me will cut boundaries because I came from a far chord.Mmanu akaegbe is bleaching creams.
'i ma na isi OLU,ife chebelii erika, etekwaba mmanu akagbe oku'.oh chim!

Then she turned and got encircled in a whirlwind and disappeared,I tried calling my Daddy many times but nobody heard me only a man of about 45yeara heading to the community school,he said he saw the whirlwhind and the sand poured on him too.
I narrated what transpired,he parked his bicycle to the wall and he started screaming, many people ran out,I picked the bamboo stick when my maternal grandma came and gave me go ahead, she knew Ezeani well and knew the akara woman, she too lived at Chukwuani street in Enugu for years with them,so the area was well clear to her,she agreed the woman was buried there and that Eze was the late woman's brother but her kids will need tracing since they barely come home due to family issues,my parents weren't home so they got baffled after hearing my story over and over, writing it out and reviewing but the family was finally contacted a day later after some decisions, they called some Reverends,my parents invited some too, after prayers and divine consultations,we headed to her compound, opened the old kitchen and did her wish,it had a key, rusted key like the one I picked, when they opened the safe it had some rusty jewelleries and C of O,and other wrapped papers,16pictures and so on,I collapsed and having concluded some rituals, plus on how to go thank their mum,I got revived sha, a Reverend lapped me on the back to his car and took me back to church,I was in the Parsonage for 2days for prayers, serious serious prayers. The oil was taken to Enugu and shared to neighbors.

The goodnews is her 6 children were able to sell some of the buildings and share, make headway in life because they were all on zero level as at then, their Uncles took their available inheritance leaving them with nothing, one of them wanted to marry me later,I picked race biko, haha.

The downside is that some people still look at me with side eyes, they believe I belong to the other side, haha.
Anytime I go home,my Grandma insists I go bathe at the 4-Point Ogba River with native sponge, some years I go,some I dodge jare. I never die.

    My God pass them.
I have many encounters, bvs have no joy,so I drop only one before they give me names.

  18. It happened 2005. I just got admission and always travel back home on Fridays to help mom and dad out.
On this particular day, I got home as usual and no one was around, I used my keys to get in and went to my room to change. I was changing my clothes with the window open and my mom's dog can't shut up. I looked at the window and saw a guy I know very well looking very sick and seems to have pooped his clothe and was resting on a guava tree. I wanted to greet him but the poop/pee on his pants stopped me because I didn't want to make him feel ashamed. He sensed that someone was looking at him and turned slowly in my direction and my head started swelling up emotionally and my body shivering with goosebumps, I immediately laid flat out of sight and when I eventually looked up again, he was gone.
Mom came in few minutes after and I told her who I saw and asked her if he have HIV. The look she gave me was very disturbing and refused to discuss it with me. I waited for dad and narrated same thing to him and he screamed and said listen, do you heard that Canon sound, I said yes and he told me they just buried the guy I was talking about but that he and my mom left early because they knew I will be home before 1pm.
Dad asked me to pack my things and go back to school and refused me sleeping in our house that night. It turned out that the guy normally take that route to visit the hospital at least twice a month when he was alive. While I was still packing, a woman ran into our house screaming that she just saw him...I described the clothes he was putting on and she confirmed it and ran to the church.

  20. Another event that happened was when my bus to the village broke down and I had to wait for them to fix it instead of getting another rid because I was dead broke.
As a result of that, I got home very late and it rained heavily. I got to a particular area close to my house and knew for sure that someone was walking behind me(typing this right now is giving me chills and really scary because it was too real) at a very close range, almost breathing on my neck. I looked behind and saw someone in school uniform and I broke into a run and ran inside my house .
I told my mom what happened in the morning and she said I need a pastor and pointed to a newly made grave in our neighborhood's house. She told me about the person that died few days ago and to my greatest concern, she was buried in her school uniform because they just made the uniform for her and she loved it so much.
The scary part of it is the girl that died ALWAYS FOLLOW AND GREET ME FROM BEHIND WHENEVER I VISIT HOME!!!
I remembered warning her to stop acting creepy once because she made me drop my phone.

  24. My brother told me of one. His very good fiend’s sister had been having issues in her relationships. So there was a guy she was dating at a particular time. They weren’t staying in the same town. Her bf called her one morning that he was in her town and was picking to pick her up. He lodged her in a hotel and made mad intense love with her, he gave her money and said he had to go back. Later in the day, she called her bf asking him if he had arrived his town safely and the bf asked her what she was talking about. He said he never came to her town and he doesn’t know what she was talking about. She fainted. She had slept with a spirit. He came in the same car her bf had, clothes and everything and even gave her money. Her parents had to carry her to do spiritual work on her before she was finally able to marry. Her mum too had marine spirit and raised an alter for it and was serving it. She normally speaks to a raw egg in the morning and throws it on the floor, instead of the egg to break, it bounces on the floor into the bush before disappearing. His mum’s birthday own guides her and brings wealth for her

  27. Girl not scared of ghosts2 August 2020 at 16:27

I've never encountered any physically like face to face, but I've felt their presence.
So, some 12 weeks ago or so, I was going home, and everywhere seemed deserted. I was wondering why people weren't on the road and dusk was fast approaching. I decided to hasten my steps. The road was forked, so I took the left fork. So I saw some people coming my way. They were looking dull. The first set of people passed, a man and woman. 20 seconds behind them was a man wearing dachiki coming towards me. He passed by me, I looked at his face and it was scary...like the face was a black hole. I kept walking, and turned back to see this demon following me. I stopped to pick a stone to fight it, but before i could bend to pick the stone and straighten, the thing don reach me. Naso i wan shout Jesus but na Jejos dey comot from my mouth. This was a dream.
I woke up immediately, and oh Lord, i could sense it's presence in my room, and a very foul stench. I picked my Rosary and began to pray. The foul smell went away within seconds. The next day, I carry garlic put for our room window, and since then I been sleeping like a baby.
I think we have a ghost in our flat, but e no dey disturb sha. This spirit banged our parlour door one hot evening and my sister heard it too.

  28. One day I was with my grandma at the balcony, and some group of women passed, obviously they were coming from market, o e of them stayed a bit and looked up to my grandma, my grandma was silent till she left, it was after she left that grandma told us,the woman that just passed was her late sister who died several years ago, funniest part is that her son was also with us that day, but we didnt notice her though we say the group but we were not really interested in them

  30. I sensed my sister's presence few days after she died. She had this unique smell and I knew she was the one. I had called her name cos I found out that my step brother insulted her before she died. I just called her name and told her to fight for us cos he was seriously giving my family stress upon stress. We have had peace since then.

  31. I saw a ghost in 1996 when I was in primary six. I was 11 years then. We were asked to bring broom to school as home work so on that faithful day after school I went to a nearby bush in search of palm fronds that I would use to make broom. I went with my younger brother that was six years and while we were coming out of the bush I saw a dead neighbor sitting on the ground behaving as if he was drunk. The man died three days earlier and was buried a day before that day. Immediately I saw him I started screaming and running . My little brother that was infront of me didn't see him but he also ran with me until we got to the main road where we met some people playing football. I narrated the story to them and they agreed to go back to the place with us so that we could pick our palm fronds because we left it there while we were running. We got there and the man was no longer there.......there was this his cloth that he loved so much when he was alive, he was always wearing the cloth when he was alive and that was the exact cloth he was wearing when I saw him that hot afternoon.

I was showing my mum but she couldnt understand. I was 7yrs old or 8. I saw them in my dream about 3yrs ago, a very vivid and strange encounter by the beach(long story ).
Another time i was very sick. I was about 9. After prayers in church,at night while sleeping, i dreamt of a baby crocodile leaving my head and entering my mums pillow.. iwas waking my mum up but she couldn't hear me so i went back into my body, woke her up physically. I see geometric shapes and symbols in reality as an adult..it happens randomly. Ive once used my mind to speak to a butterfly and i bursted in tears when i saw it react to my mind words. So many others, im still trying to discover myself and internal strengths.

Pls to those who see spirits, you are a medium. Dont be afraid. Ask the spirit what it wants. You will get answers. You are here to help disturbed souls find peace. Pls don't be afraid. Your source is with you.

  33. Yes, I was sleeping one particular night, and saw the ghost, a woman sitting on my bed, I turned and my eyes were hooked on her, I was shocked, scared, I shut my eyes tightly again, I felt I was dreaming, I decided to open my eyes again, lo and behold, she was no more sitting, but lying down and facing me squarely, her eyes were like cat's eyes, but shiny, demonic, I started crying profusely.
She had this angry look, she was stretching her hands towards me, long fingers, I tried screaming, I was trying to call for my mum, and then I remembered the name above all other names Jesus, I screamed "JESUS", aloud, she disappeared, the whole household ran into my room, I was shaken, my mum had to spend the night with me, I wore the biggest rosary in my house that night, and clinged to my mum all thru the night.
Another was our former house, my dad rented the whole duplex, the landlord was abroad, and wasn't planning on coming back any time soon, I took a room that had a very good verandah space, I could just stay there and chill until I'm tired, every thing was fine, until, the plates in the kitchen started falling, we overlooked it, my mum was sleeping, and a huge hand rested on her face, and covered her nose, she couldn't breath, she struggled and struggled, until she saw another hand remove that hand forcefully, and screamed and woke up, she told my dad, popsy said"You women are always seeing something ha ha".
Everyone forgot about the incident, because obviously dad couldn't understand or believe it, Then one night, I was sleeping, I heard a tap on my window, my eyes were opened, I could see him, A very dark boy of about 17,he was crying and asked me to help him,I stood up, In my subconsciousness or dream, And he took me to the garden, my people, that garden was the sole reason my dad fell in love with that house, The "garden" is too pretty, I loved it like crazy, the boy said "Aunty pls bring me out" "I was buried here", he pointed to middle of that garden, He kept crying, He said he was among the workers that built the house, but was killed and buried by the landlord, and he was asked to bring a soul for the landlord every year, that's his task in that house.
So automatically, anybody that moves into that house, would die or lose a family member or more, my dear people I ran to my room in that my subconsciousness and woke up on bed screaming, I think that was the scariest part of my life, one of my brother confirmed he also saw him, that when he was in his room and chatting with his friend on whatsapp,This same dark boy asked him to see what he was doing. But trust me the story long, we saw shege before we moved out. Make I stop here jare

    3. @simplydivine Noo oo, dig out which body, ehhh! mbanu, we couldn't do that, my dad refused, but we had to call strong prayer warriors to pray at our house? On the day of the prayers,The dark boy appeared in our living room,he came, and I felt goosebumps all over me, one of the brothers saw him with his spiritual eyes, and announced it to us, come see race, even my dad wey dey form odeshi, started shouting "fire fire", we were advised to move out from that house, coz that boy ain't going anywhere. He belonged there,Nne eh, I'm a lazy typist, but trust me, we faced battles, We thank God, he couldn't take any soul from my family, the landlord even noticed that after 6 months, nobody died, He told my dad, that we must move out, that he wants to use his house. That house is here in Lagos. Make I stop here, if I continue, tory go plenty.

    4. My dear i can totally relate to your story @ Tango,i have lived in two houses like that and i lost my sist in one. The second one was the finest on that street and owned by a wealthy woman. If you come in as a rich person, you'll become poorer than a church rat. But don't worry we moved out richer, and eventually to our home within two years. Most houses in Lagos are fucked up,pray well before renting one.

  34. This event happened in 1994

There was a a man who had a workshop in a shopping complex close to our building. The man repaired electrical appliances and was fond of showing up at night to work in his shop because that was the time power supply was normally restored in our neighborhood.

Most nights when the man came to work, my younger brother and I would go to his shop and stay with him for hours. So One fateful day, the man and is friend (his friend lived in our neighborhood) showed up as usual and I joined them. We were talking when suddenly a female figure appeared on the main road. She was holding the scarf on her head.

Immediately she showed up on the road, all of us stopped talking and looked in her direction. It was a few minutes to midnight. As we looked intently at her, we noticed her legs were not touching the ground, so we started talking in hush tones, "she's a ghost;" "oh no, she's not" "okay, go and talk to her."

I am the daredevil one, so I took off and dashed to the road for a talk with the lady.

    Me: hey, hello"

Lady: no response (continued walking as she floated mid-air)

I drew closer to her and suddenly, she stopped (motionless)

    I drew closer...

...then the lady turned gradually to look at me...

It was a white face starring at me - as in WHITE like baking powder.

I was on the spot held by a force and something very cold washed all over me. Somehow I regained consciousness and turned to go back. Lo and behold, the technician and his friend had disappeared. We talked about it the following night.

    2009 (Was it An Angel?)

Somewhere on Skillman Road, North Dallas, I was dropped by a pastor friend. He picked me up to attend a ministers' fellowship, so after the meeting the pastor dropped me at the closest road junction so I could walk home. (I was a guest in Dallas, so I stayed briefly with a younger friend).

I was trekking to my friend's house with a Bible and a book written by Charles Finney. Suddenly, something forcefully pushed me forward. I staggered and dropped the book and the Bible on the floor. When I looked around to find out what pushed me, I saw a huge dog (Rottweiler) ran away from me into a building. I was gripped with fear because I knew the dog was coming back to attack me.

The dog came back, but surprisingly I was not attacked. It started barking and charging at something a few meters away. The dog raised its head and charged furiously at the 'thing', so when I noticed the dog was busy with a 'ghost', I gently went down to pick my book and the Bible; it was at that time the dog stopped and looked in my direction.

As the dog and I locked eyes, I could not pick the Bible and the book. My heart was flooded with thoughts, "why did I leave Nigeria to be killed by a dog in America..." I knew the dog was going to attack; but suddenly it ran back into the building, barking.

I strolled back home, gripped with fear.

  37. My aunt told me how her late uncle came to thank her after his son's wedding. Prior to this time, my aunt said she never believed in ghosts or dead relatives coming around to visit or protect their loved ones. My aunt, mother, relatives and well wishers from the town where my aunt and this her late uncle lived had traveled to another state for this late uncle's son's wedding. The wedding ceremony was a successful one. My aunt said a day after they returned from the state they traveled to, she was in her room alone eating when her uncle came handsomely dressed in expensive cloth like someone who was attending an important occasion, he thanked her and told her he saw all they did at the wedding, that the wedding ceremony was very beautiful . My aunt said she still could not understand whether she fell asleep briefly when this happened because she was eating. She ran out of the house. Because of this encounter, she now has a belief that dead relatives still hovers around. The uncle died a year before. It was his first son's wedding.

  38. My last physical encounter with my late dad whom died in 2016 was July 2019. I was walking along a narrow path. The place was very silent and no single soul was on the road that afternoon. As I turn left, an old oyinbo man, same age and height with my late dad blocked my way. I went left, he did same, I went right, he did same. I then trick him and stay in the middle. He laughed and I laughed jovially from the bottom of my heart and all of a sudden he looked familiar.

He walked past and turn the corner, I also turn the corner in the opposite direction of my route. We both turn back at same time and our eye met. I saw pain and sadness in his eye and I shouted "Daddy". He turned and disappeared into the alley. My phone rang, It was my Mum and she said "don't forget to pray for your dad today, it marks 3 years we buried him." I said, Mummy he just walk pass me. You see, we both use to play that game of blocking each other left and right and he always win and he would say "mo get e". Attimes, I trick him and win. I knew it was him I saw that day and he gave me hope. I won the court case.

  39. Mine isn't a ghost story but the day my eldest brother died last year, I was at work without knowing that he has died and the only song that kept coming to my mind/mouth is "God be with you till we meet again" . When I got home around 7pm a call came in that he passed away in the morning. Strange world.

  43. Guys, I am sorry to bust your bubbles but ghosts are not real. What you see is demons and spirits...they can take the form of anyone and cause you to feel / see anything. Take note.
