Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

Hmmmm.....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE

DATING A DIRTY PERSON

Some guys are just too dirty and thinks that grooming is for a female. Just started dating this guy and I just saw his feet and His toenails are so dirty like those mallams that carry kaya in the market. It seriously bothers me and I am already thinking of calling off the relationship and my best friend thinks that I am being too picky for a 32 yr old woman.

Is proper hygiene too much to ask? I see those kind of people as creatures that would be extremely pigful to live with. Women that are married to dirty men, how do you do it?

*Please women that are married to dirty men, come out and tell us how you cope

    2. Simple. And quite obvious.

If this chronicle wasn't so short, I would think the poster was a budding writer.

    3. For how long Will she continue to take him? There are basic things a person should do on their own. My dear you don't want to baby a grown-ass man. Being a wife is work, having kids is additional work, then catering to a man's hygiene is double wahala when he should be a relief. Me I can't deal abeg. Babe if you no fit cope nothing spoil, move! Which one is carrying mallam leg about. Him no dey see him leg?

    6. Hmmnn, a lot of smart looking guys you see around were groomed by their wives/girlfriends. Teach him hygiene, nobody is perfect. God brought Eve to Adam to complement him. Be his strength, where he is weak and vice-versa.

    7. She should start 1st, he would pick up. My sis hubby was a bit dirty and a colour block guy,but now guy man has upgraded. Goes to the spa 2x a month and has a personal stylist. The guy should just be willing to learn.

    9. Very petty woman. Because his feet and toe nails are not pedicured doesnt mean he is dirty. People are brought up differently. How many people go for regular dental cleaning. Should they now be termed dirty because of that. Take him for the pedicure and talk to him about it. You no get sense sha for a 32yr old. No be everything u suppose dey run come SDK come drop. 12. Tiana and 18:31 you gave the best advice.

The first things I notice about people is how clean they are especially teeth nails, hair, odour, clothing. You could wear cheap clothes but be clean from head to toe.

Personal hygiene should be learnt early.
Poster, he will slip back into his dirty habits no matter how long you teach him. Next he will tag you a nag or get upset with you when you remind him.
Besides, he will have other dirty habits that will irritate you no end!

      Dirty is dirty.

    13. This is not a question of being picky, regardless of what your age is. What you don't like, you don't like. You don't need to confront him of being dirty, take him for a pedicure, encourage him to do hygienic things and do together... Watch him if he eventually gets it, if then e no work, Waka if you know you know you can't live with that fact.

      Delete
    14. Y’all calling her names for refusing to MOTHER him, are you sure you know what’s up? Is it her job to do it? Wasn’t his mother supposed to teach him proper hygiène? Wasn’t he supposed to learn more from home economics back in primary and secondary school? Wasn’t he supposed to groom and grow himself better as he matured? Y’all just be talking anyhow. So she should start taking him to spa and after entitlement mentality will enter followed by other stuffs he would start displaying/doing to make her do more for him.

M’y Mama say, when you train child, as w grow, e go restrain himself for better or worse. Poster please don’t mind them. Since you can’t stand it, free him and move on for your peace. You didn’t come to this world to MOTHER anyone. He is an adult like you. Would he be dating you if you were in the same ship with him! He won’t waste time to compare you with another and let you know how he doesn’t like it without bringing any solution. I can’t stand dirty and untidy either.

    15. Dirty is dirty I agree...but poster, try talking to him first.

  2. He may not know his dirty habits till someone points them out to him.

    2. Apart from this toenail issue, what other dirty habits does he have? Maybe he hasn't paid particular attention to his nails. I don't see this an issue, tell him and ensure he pays more attention to It.

In my opinion, this is not why a relationship should end except you have tried and he is not cooperating.

    3. I took my man along for a pedicure and manicure when he came visiting just cos i like to pamper myself, Plus he chews on his nails which is something i absolutely detaste and he suspected this was my reason for booking an appointment for the both us, lolz not far from the truth but i laughed it off. We sat side by side he found it weird but ended up loving it. I encouraged them to put nail hardner on his toe and fingernails with the hope it will stop him from biting on the nails lolz. So if this is the major flaw this can be your treat to him. If you love him enough you will find creative ways to pass your message accross without him feeling disrespected.

      Delete
    4. *detest* not "detaste".

  4. Take him to the saloon, let them give his feet better pedicure. And then tell him how you feel about hygiene.

    ReplyDelete
  5. You just started dating the guy, why can't you tell him the things you don't like about his hygiene?

You can start by asking him when was the last time he went for pedicure and manicure, tell him you don't like the way his toenails are unkempt. You can even suggest to cut them and clean them for him.

If you like him, these things won't be difficult for you to say or do.

    4. If you like him, you can playfully yab him about it then schedule the pedicure date with him. The issue is if you don't like the guy and you're trying to force a relationship just because you're 32 years. Then you will be turned off with disgust rather than show him empathy to help him get better

Wow! False witness? That's a new one.
      Let's go to the Word of that same God you are referring to;
      1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does
not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps
no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices
with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

      8 Love never fails.

Are those characters we read about love what this poster demonstrated?

    12. @Kami
So where is the "accusation" in my comments?
I only reasoned that if this is a law court and I am the accuser,
then you should be the judge, jury and executioner, so that the courts
      will sit well; that's all.
      😊😊😊😊😊😊

“You probably just discovered that the man is not a moneybag. Full stop.
      Cut out the pretense.
Now, that I've let out the truth,...” these quoted words shows you are bearing false witness because you are trying to add what the poster did not say and money might never have been in the equation.

    2. Thank you, my dear. Exactly why I think this Chronicle is silly. A lot of people arent so concerned about grooming. They shower everyday, brush, wear clean clothes...but the little things might escape them.Doesn't necessarily make them dirty people. I am also quite obsessive about my grooming. Years ago, I took a friend for a pedicure. Up until then, he didn't even know such a thing existed. From that one visit, my friend was hooked and pedicures have become a part of his routine.

I started by telling him the need to shave and use perfume, today he's a perfume freak. Try to teach him first, if he's still adamant and does to seem teachable, you fit waka... Cos you obviously cannot stand a dirty partner.

  14. Let him know but be wise in telling him in order not to brush his ego. Suggest pedicure treatment for him and other stuff. Let him realize its important for his health but don't insult him in any way while doing that....

    ReplyDelete
  15. You could suggests he goes for professional pedicure and manicure every few months. Suggest he scrubs properly using a pumice stone or brittle brush to get rid of grimes and dirts when he showers. He is your man you can suggest ways for him and see if he will abide by them. The most important thing is if he is willing to learn and doesn't scoff at you for trying to help out only then can you say there is a problem.
You can also get him 'at home foot scrubbers'. Just make sure he employs a foot care regime and stick with it. The most important thing is If he is receptive and willing to change. Black toes could also be due to an underlying health concern.

P.s: No, I am not married to a dirty man.🙂

    ReplyDelete
  16. Question - do you like everything else about him? Is the only problem you have with him just his dirty toe nails?

Ṣeé Ehn...you can't Base your decision to stop dating on one issue that can be fixed.

Look at it holistically. Take stock.

Why not have a conversation with him and tell him his feet will look nicer if he has a pedicure makeover. If he is open to change I don't see this s a problem

Plus some men don't care that much about washing feets as they are busy with other sides such as hustling...making money etc.

Stop trying to pick out little faults and basing your decision on them except it's a deal breaker.

My wife is untidy. We've been married 12 years now and she is still untidy.

( she is not dirty. Just untidy with putting things in various places they don't belong)

but everything else about her is amazing.

I am now in a position to have a cleaner come in four times a month to help with tidying up the house.

  24. You saw his toenails and concluded that he was dirty. You've not even gone far in the relationship. Anyway, let the guy be so you don't end up wasting his time. Hopefully, you will find a guy that suits your taste.

  25. Lol@ women that are married to dirty men. It's well. Start by talking to him about his personal hygiene.

  27. Babe, abeg if you can't cope, leave him! I hate dirtiness and bad odour. I can't get wet for a dirty man. I met one recently and visited him. He is very dirty. Toilet dirty, kitchen dirty, room dirty, living room dirty. Kissing him sef is not fun because he has small mouth odour. I left the next morning without doing anything with him. Dirtiness is a deal breaker for me. I won't teach a grown adult personal hygiene.

  28. Just started dating an oil company guy in his mid fifties, clean fingernails but feet and hands are so dry and wrinkled. My problem is that he sprays perfume in his armpit instead of deodorants which gives him some sour body odour. Argh i don complain tire

  29. ANG reminds me of a classmate that was studying the Bible instead of studying his books. He read two versions of the entire Bible before the end of one semester. Exams came and he failed woefully. During an exam security had to bundle him out because he was commanding the Holy Spirit to release the answers loudly. We also heard he was writing psalms as answers to a few questions. Last we heard of him, he was a destitute preacher going about saying he’s the John the Baptist of our time clearing the path for the second coming of Jesus. The thing ANG is doing that we are treating with kids gloves is a manifestation of a deep seated problem.

    1. I agree with you.
It seems like a joke, but ANG has deep rooted problems, most of them psychological.

    5. If you are sincere, you would have learnt few things from her write up, but no, she is always wrong. Majority has positioned their minds to believe that when ever one person disagrees among many, that person is not right.

ANG I know not all your contributions are perfect or the best but majority are inspiring and I learn from it most especially the scriptures. Thanks.

    6. @ 16.04, I have learnt absolutely nothing from that write up there. What has she said that others haven't said In a better way? Sabella, Kamikaze and other reasonable bvs have advised the poster. Please tell us what she has said that is unique or outstanding amongst other comments, shior.

  30. Stella, some men are dirty. I swear, neat women can date such men. Smell and dirt turns me off I swear to God. How then will I marry and leave with such man for the rest of my life? I'm not perfect but I try my best to smell good and look clean especially when I'm in a house with other people. Stella, do you know that some men have smelly penis and balls? And they want you to give them head. Men, you all should try to take up your hygiene. That believe that it is only women that should take hygiene seriously is long gone.

  31. Dear poster,
I'm not sure you like the guy at all. You are already irritated sef. You can pass on your message to him with love and he will become your mumu. Tell him that you have a surprise for him and take him on a date to a spa. He will love you for it and would try to reciprocate. Then give him the "news flash", that to please you, he has to be clean and soft. Be romantic Nwa! Lots of love ooh.

  32. I married one. Changed all his boxers and underwears. Bought him perfumes. Good guy but very dirty. If you pick up his boxers to wash, they will be slimmy. He never really changed. We broke up but not because of that. When he sits and decides to get up. The whole sofa will be smelly.

  33. God help me not to ever date a dirty man, i do not think an extremely dirty person ever changes reasonably though.

I hate any odd smell, like mouth or body odour. I also hate when i visit someone and there's a peculiar odour in one's living room or house, sometimes this odour could be as a result of dirty clothes, floor or furniture. I may likely never visit that person again.

I dont know if I'm actually ok or not, but if i kiss a guy when his mouth is not clean, i will have running stomach later. So it's a serious torture for me, even some pungent smell upsets my stomach.

I feel its laziness causing these dirtiness. I always tell anyone that cares to listen, apart from taking care of your body, it takes approximately one hour to keep your house clean fairly enough for a week. The worst are those that keep a dirty kitchen, like thats an area you prepare what goes into your body for God's sake!

  34. How do you start dating a guy without first being a friend and deciding if u would want a relationship.

  35. My only issue with this poster is the fact that's she's clearly an unrepentant ethnic bigot. The effontery to describe him using a "mallam carrying kaya'got me pissed. I'm of northern origin and it's crude hearing stuffs like this. A mallam would never profile other ethnic groups in such manner. Cos he wld be busy minding his business. But madam "pristine clean" is here spewing in the ""nonsense" such. I'd say ur attitude shows clearly that ure worst than the so called mallam. IfMIf u were Abit better than the Mallam.ud have used other adjectival phrases instead of ethnic profiling.grow up.
