CHRONICLES OF MELODY THE RUNS GEH

I watched so many girls die in that slum, I was so scared for my life, it's been 2yrs already, I miss my family, I miss my fiance, he's there in Lagos State thinking I was faithfully working in Port Harcourt, little did he know that I have been opening his sacred pot to everyone including a crippled being, one day I got a call from him that I must be in Lagos State the next morning or I should forget about him and the relationship, I couldn't afford to do that, I can't lose him, not for anything here, he's the only decent thing that has ever happened to me,::::
I packed my toothbrush and jammies immediately and was heading to Mile one to board a night bus to Lagos State, while I was dragging to get a portion to sit in a small bus I boarded, they stole my phone, I got to the park but my money was not enough to settle the bill for a night bus, this good Samaritan came from nowhere (na that day I for really die.

He offered to pay for my ticket, I was so glad, he said he was traveling too, we got two tickets, to sit next to each other, it was about 3pm in the afternoon, the bus was to leave by 7pm, he took me to a restaurant, we ate, and after eating he said he couldn't continue waiting around when his house was not too far away from the park, that he wants to go home and come back by 7pm....

he begged me to go with him, I had no other option than to follow him (Don't look at me like that naa) shebi he was nice to me, and I could get some cash to hold on to aside my t.fare, we got to his house and it was indeed a beautiful house but something wasn't so right about the house, there's a stench, an old bloody stench, I laid down on the couch, did I remember to tell y'all that when he asked where I am from, I told him I am from the West, Ibadan precisely, so while I was at his place, he called some guys, asked them to come that he had found someone suitable,...

they spoke with Ikwerre dialect, I heard everything but pretended to be a Yoruba girl, those guys came, he locked the parlour door and went inside to get something, before you could say jack, 4 guys were in the room with us, they were so happy, they said that Baba will never reject this cos she fits his description, but one of them suggested that they should enjoy themselves first before taking me to the Baba, these 5 evil men raped idiosyncrasy out of my life, I was bleeding helplessly, I couldn't fight no more, how I left that room that day was a Miracle, one of them got a call from someone and was yelling...

he opened the door and went outside cos the music they used in silencing my screams and cry for help was banging, the rest had gone inside, I managed to get up, and ran outside, I was running and crying and no one on that street stopped or cared, it seemed like it was a norm around there.... My trip to Lagos.... Walaiii Ashawo is norra a job... You gerrit??

What is with this Ashawo work sef? They have almost killed you so many times but you are still doing it.......dem swear for you?And you even have a man waiting for you Somewhere?

Ashawo!!!

    3. It's called gangan in afemai.. it's actually gunpowder filled into a brass shell, it's lit with fire and it explodes. It's used after a burial ceremony to pay the last respect, especially if the man was a respectable person and old. We paid for three when my dad died.

      Delete
    3. Also, what else can the ogiri okpe be used for?

      Delete
    4. Anon 16.14, I don't use ogiri to prepare mine. Scent leaf and dry fish is enough to give it that traditional taste.
You can substitute it with Yoruba Iru.
Ogiri is used to prepare bitterleaf soup that has pounded cocoyam

      Delete
    5. Yes, it smells. I don't use it. Try to make it without it and then use if for the next one to see which taste you prefer. People use it for soups like Okro, Ogbono etc.

      Delete
    6. I'm not ibo, I'm Edo but you see that ogiri...I use it to cook soups. Forget the smell, use it to boil your meat and fish, add two or 3 uziza and crayfish with the blended pepper. The smell goes away leaving a very traditional aroma.

  18. The thing about "ashawo" work is that it is captivity; to the powers of darkness in the sea for one.
You do not stop because you want to, for
satan does not allow his captives go free; Isaiah 14.
But the person Jesus sets free is free indeed. John 8:36
    Anyone fornicating for gratification
is a prostitute. He that joins himself to a prostitute is one with
her in spirit. The word says that
the two shall become one flesh.
Fornication is deadly but Jesus saves.
That is why he is giving this lady a
lot of chance to repent before she ever
    dies.🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️🀦🏻‍♀️

It's mostly used in Burials, traditional wedding and also for salutation of titled Men during coronation and so on...

    3. Hi @Lily Ambrose..

      1) Please ensure you saved his no as a contact..

2)Open your WhatsApp,click the "three dots" at the top of your page;then click on "SETTINGS"..

Scroll down to "ACCOUNTS" then click on "PRIVACY"..Scroll to "STATUS" and select "MY CONTACT"..

      If after that;you don't still see it,then it's a little technical issue..

      SOLUTION?

Kindly go to your store and download another upgraded version of WhatsApp known as "GB WHATSAPP"..

sign in with your phone No there and it will sort out all these technical issues;plus it has some great features which the "Normal WhatsApp" doesn't...

      Hope this helps..

  30. There is nothing sinister, bad or mysterious about that. It is called nkpo n'ala or nkpo n'ani. They are guns used as salutes, hailings, info. They are used in occasions eg, political gatherings, birthdays, anniversaries, chieftaincy, coronation of traditional rulers, burial (arrival of the corpse from mortuary or after the burial) to tell the village the dead has arrived or been buried. Etc. It could 21 gun salute or 42 or less depending on the occasion or how rich the occasion or the family that wants it.

When my dad passed on and we went to his maternal home to inform them, the shot 7 of those for us meaning when locals ask (which they must) why was the gun shot, they will be told such person has passed on.

  42. Martin's, please I need your help here.Thank you.

Please is there a way I can see all my wasap status viewer's (note that I know how to see the viewers but there is one particular person that comments directly from the status but if i click on the viewers, his contact won't be among viewers shown. So please how do he do it?or does it means I cannot be able to see all the viewer's. I use Samsung j6 and this person lives in U.S while I live in Nigeira.

    I'm waiting for your reply.Thanks.

    1. It's not your phone, it's the viewer's settings. His WhatsApp read receipt is off.

    2. Hi @Anon 15:03;Sonia has almost same issue and I replied her up there...

Do the same and it will be sorted out...

GB WHATSAPP would show you all plus more(even when your contacts have deleted their status or the chats they send to you)..

      Regards..

      @MARTINS

  43. Stella there's nothing to it. It's a Canon gun. It's used in celebration of life. That is when an old, rich or popular person dies. They shoot it. As per odogwu. Some say the shots will scare away evil spirits that want to attack the person on his/her way to eternity. Some just shoot it in gyration.

  48. @Stella. It's just local canon or firearm. the load the metal buried in the ground with gunpowder before they fire it off. The idea behind it is that it is believed to send the spirit of the deceased home to the land of the spirit. Its just like a burial farewell ritual, nothing mysterious.

  49. Hello everyone
That last picture is the canon they fire during burials
    It's common in Rivers state
The sound can cause temporary deafness
