Gospel Artiste Tope Alabi’s Daughter Ayomiku Reacts To Claims By Her Alleged Biological Father And Calls Him ''Terrible Father''

Following the recent paternity scandal involving the gospel singer and one Mayegun Olaoye;Ayomikun , daughter of popular gospel singer , Tope Alabi , says the only father she knows is her mother ’s husband , Soji Alabi.

Based on online reports , Olaoye claimed to be Ayomikun’ s father, while alleging that Tope Alabi had blocked every avenue for him to know his biological daughter in the past 22 years.

Reacting to the allegation, Ayomikun , in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH on Saturday , stated that she was not surprised about the development as her mother had since informed her about the man who claimed to be her father.

Ayomikun , however, stressed that the only father that she has is Soji Alabi , who has been married to her mother for over two decades.

She said , “ I will always know that my father is Soji Alabi . I do not know any other person and I have never met any other man. I cannot blatantly deny him because I have heard about him but I have never had anything to do with this man. ”
My mother never blocked the avenues for us to see . My mother even tried for me to have a relationship with him . I remember when I was about 15 years old , she used to tell me about him but he never tried to reach out to me .
“ I am very grateful to God for the kind of mother and father that I have . After God , my parents are next in my life ,” Ayomikun said.

Ayomikun also said, “ I cannot bear his surname . How can I bear the surname of someone that I have never met? There is no sense in that. I do not even know his surname . How can I bear the name of someone I have never met ?

“ God knows my real father and everyone knows who my real father is . I did not know this man when I was in crΓ¨che, daycare, primary , secondary or during my university days . I graduated and did not get a congratulatory message ; absolutely nothing from him.

“ So, there is no much story to tell. It is just a story about an irresponsible father and he is trying to cut every relationship he could ever build with his so-called daughter . I genuinely do not know why he is coming out after 22 years .”

Also a sonorous singer like her mother , Ayomikun stated that the only way she can give Olaoye a listening ear is if they meet in court and there is a judgment to that effect.

She said, “ If the man wants to reach out to me to patch things up, it will be in court. I do not think that I want to patch things up with him but I know that I will definitely meet him in court if he ever wants to talk . It cannot be a civil matter because he did not make it a civil matter when he went to the social media to talk".

Despite the occurrence, she said her family is fine and everything is normal as they were not shocked by Olaoye ’s actions.

“ I have spoken to my mother about it and we are all fine . It was not something that shocked us. He is not blackmailing the family but he is an example of a very terrible father ,” Ayomikun said.

  4. Ayomikun means my joy is full.
It is different from Ayomiku which can mean two things:

    1) My joy remains
    2) My joy is dead

Tope Alabi daughter's name is Ayomikun meaning my joy is full.

  5. No Stella. Ayomikun means my joy is FULL not my joy is dead.

I hope all sperm donors are learning from stories like this. Being a father how's far beyond just donating sperm. He who has ears to hear should hear.

  8. Stella dey use google yoruba check na; u feel Tope Alabi will name her child my joy is dead???
Its my joy is FULL or my joy is overflowing.
As for the sperm donor pls leave dis family in peace. U didnt look for her in nursery, primary, sec or university. You now come when Mr Alabi has trained and moulded her into adulthood.

  9. Ayomikun means my joy is full. Why will someone name her child my joy is dead na?

Maybe the man told her to even abort the pregnancy and flat out denied it and now wants to claim father.

I used to say to myself then that if I ever got pregnant and u deny it and I go ahead to have it, u will never ever have anything to do with that child no matter what u do.

  11. It is evident father and daughter had no relationship while she was growing up why he is trying to force it now? You can tell from what she'd written that there is no love lost between them.

Stella, Really? What a name then! Parents need to be careful with the kind of names they call their children.

    2. He wants to force it now because there is no more financial responsibility or obligation. The girl is done with school, probably working or will soon start working. He wants to reap where he didn't sow.

  20. This Ayomikun and Ann Njemanze's daughter (with Segun Arinze) are definitely in the same Whatsapp group. If Tope Alabi had not done well for herself or if Ayomikun (my joy is full) had turned out to be an embarrassing drug addict, would Mazi Mayegun be "famzing" and talking to the press in the corona year after another man had done all the job of raising a total lady? 22. Anyone can be a dad but it takes a real man to be a father. I sense a lot of pain from her voice. Forgive and move on. This life is not long at all. I am still praying for the day my father will reach out to me even though in his heart I do not exist when he truly knows I am real. Cant wait to reconcile with him even if it’s 5mins God gives me with him. But since he is still young, I will wait for him until he gets a lot older. 50 something years old men this days no wan gree o. Their guy man plenty o. Love u my dear father regardless of your mistakes❤️❤️❤️

Such insensitive and selfish action of this baba were is why many men & women will rather not marry single parents, no one wants action.

I commend Ayomikun for not throwning his real father under the bus. You stood by your father and deny that impostor. Omo naa a pon e le (Your children will honor you too).
