Benedicta is reacting to claims that her former Marriage ended as a result of Adultery with OAP Freeze with whom she has a son.

They should go to appeal court...Nigeria is really a country of anywhere-anything-goes..This woman filed for divorce as far back as 2012..The courts did nothing but they waited till when her ex- husband filed a case in 2021, quick quick the judgement is that they should pay for committing adultery..So Justice can be bought by the highest bidder right..Nigeria has a long way to go...

It would be hard for her to win this case, legally she's wrong but morally she might not be, if it's true the guy is gay. But that would be hard to prove, I doubt she's got any evidence. That's why they want to go the domestic violence route..
Even freeze knows it's a tough one,he just doesn't want to pay the 5m without a fight.

ReplyDeleteThe woman is reported to have filed her case in 2012. The letter shown above is dated 17/4/2014. The letter also states "ex-husband". The domestic violence alleged and recorded by the letter writer is after the divorce proceedings is claimed to have started. So it does not support a case of marital violence or violence prior to the divorce case.
ReplyDeleteThe woman has not told the world what she based her divorce case on and the evidence presented in support of it. She lost her case. Her ex-husband won his counter-case. She or her consort ("Mr. Freeze") are free to appeal against the judgment to the Supreme Court. That is the way to go instead of casting speculative aspersions on persons and the court.
Was her ex-husband gay? Was that the basis she sued for divorce? Did she tell the court? Did she support her claim with credible evidence?
Without seeing the records of the court, any criticisms of the court's judgment is based on speculation. The delay in deciding a case may be the fault of the parties to a case, or the fault of their lawyers, or the fault of the court, or the fault of all three. Only the court's record can really show who truly delayed the case or who is more guilty of the delay in a case.
"Mr. Freeze" has said he would appeal because he was not served with the court's notice of suit not because he did not sleep with or impregnate the woman while she was still legally married to her husband. Please note this fine distinction - "Mr. Freeze" proposed appeal is based on law (a legal point) not on facts of liability.
It would be good for the woman to appeal on facts - that she did not sleep with "Mr. Freeze" while married or that she was beaten out of the marriage by her ex-husband and was pushed out of the marriage because her ex-husband is gay.
Until then the judgment stands and ...
