Pete Edochie Explains Why Women Of Today Are Not Submissive To Their Men

All women visitors of this Blog should read this post.....

According to him

If you drop your father's name to answer the name of your husband. you are bound to be submissive to him. How can a woman go out of the house in the morning comes back at night. stinking of alcohol and the husband wants to know why she came home late and she answers ''if you know what is good for you just get out of my way let me go and sleep''.

Well they can afford to say that today because the men of today are very weak. I you'd say it in our own time, you would never be in one piece again. I mean every word I'm saying. We got married when men were men and women didn't insult us that way. The way women insult men these days I begin to imagine.. it's not their character, our women used to be beautiful things we loved , and envied, cuddle. Today they are turning into viraginous what is happening?..

  1. Stella, you didn't post the full interview. He said women should put condoms in the bags of their cheating husbands. That Solomon had 1000 wives and 700 concubines. That his 15 year old mother married his 40 year old father. I am disappointed to say the least, but that is his own nuggets of wisdom, take it if you want.

    1. I've gotten used to his patriarchal nature, not surprised anymore.
His wife must have really tried.

    2. In history of ancient Igboland, women did not adopt the names of their husbands. That only started with advent of church and colonialism . In those days a woman was known by her own father's or at least kindred's name e.g. Mgbafor Anara showing she came from Anara Clan except in a case where she took a title alongside her husband and had to bear his name as his Lolo . This was done to have a woman in a polygamous home properly represent the family she was born or community she hailed from by her good character. I remember my great grand ma was called Mama Uju Enugu coz she came from there in a matrimonial home of 3 wives. She was not a Mrs whatever and in fact had to be carried back to her kinsmen in death for burial as Ozu nwa Ada. Make una dey kill una sef becos of borrowed culture of Mrs . Some answer both first and last name of husband. Imagine saying you are Mrs.

    3. Some women answer first, middle and last name of their men in name of marriage . Imagine saying you are Mrs. Caroline Emeka Anyanwu. As in, Caroline Anyanwu no dey enough? This Mrs. thing na wa.

      Pathetic

    4. Anon you sabi history!!
Women were actually known by their mother because a man can have many wives.
So that’s how she goes to her husband’s house
Mgbeke Ododo meaning Mgbeke, daughter of Ododo
And that’s what she will even answer in her husband’s place.
Even her son will answer Ikemba Mgbeke as in Ikemba son of Mgbeke, to know which of the wives gave birth to him.
Today, our ppl use the patriarchal system of Christianity and claim its cultural.

    5. As for me,I still bear my father's name in marriage. It's the middle name, my name my father's name then hubby's name. My children bear their name father's name then my name. It's for open doors wherever they find themselves and can easily claim both states.

  5. You said it yourself, Chief.. your time and generation is different from ours. Patriarchy was the order of the day during your time so it’s totally fine that feminism makes you uneasy.

You are clearly too old to unlearn these things so I just filter what to digest and keep it moving.

    2. Sweetheart, can you do yourself a favor of educate yourself on the meaning of FEMINISM?

      * Feminsts aren't men haters.

      * Feminsts isn't an anti marriage movement.

      * Feminsts aren't lazy, rude, dirty, lousy, uncouth, entitled, wicked and bitter women.

Feminist is an advocate for equality of sexes. For crying out loud, the Feminst movement is the reason why you and i can dress the way we like and feel comfortable in, the feminist movement is the reason we both could go to school, read any course of our choice, graduate, get a job and get same pay as the male gender in the same field as us. The feminist movement is the reason you and i can have a say, have an opinion and deserve an audience when expressing those opinions.

The Feminist movement a gender equality movement. Now gender equality does not in any way mean that a woman/feminist will start acting all manly or start hating or seeing a man as nothing. It simply means that everyone was born equal and as such must be treated as equal. The Feminist movement is against the aspect of a woman that's been oppressed. These includes, Legal, economical, political, social and even marital aspects. It is of the notion that a particular gender shouldn't be treated as more important or even allowed the freedom of ownership alone in these fields only cos they're men. The Feminist movement is against the fallacy of women belonging only in the kitchen, women are as much human as the male and should be allowed the freedom of existence as an equally important sex.
The Feminist movement is of the opinion that it is very okay if a woman chooses to not to get married, to live a single and free life, People must never question her choice because a man or marriage does not validate or make HER and as a human, she has the right to live the kind of life she wants. ETC.

Please try and make your findings and stop acting like Feminists are men killers/haters whenever an argument that does not correlate or even have a thing to do with FEMINISM comes up.

    1. God bless you. Men are not the 100% breadwinners anymore and tbh most men of today are too pussy and feminine..they don't want to be men's men..they want a woman that has a bit of masculinity and can work just as hard as he does..that's why they so freely embrace femininity cus it means they get to kick back and watch women work twice as hard for less pay and little help with house chores. Where then is there room for submissiveness when the men are laying back and looking for a woman to bring something to the table? Might as well be roommates that fuq n share children together

    Disgusting and vile sentiment.
Imagine your ego being so fragile that you believe being a manly man is beating the shit out of your wife when she talks smack at you lmao.

Real men aren’t women beaters who abuse their wives to keep her in check. Real men are providers, protectors and selfless leaders. Show me any woman that won’t naturally “submit” to such a man.
When you begin to force submission, just know that there’s something wrong with you as a man.

Be everything a woman and even the mightiest/strongest of the man will bow at the mention of your name. (people will call it voodoo) Ever wondered why women were the weakness of most of the powerful men in history? Ever asked how those women do it? It's not by acting all animalistic and thinking it cool. If only we will read with rationalism and see the points in his words but oh well, to each their own.

Men of today are disgustingly weak. They're the reason we face all these disrespect and nonsense behavior from women.. you'll see men crying like a bitch cos his babe traveled on vacation with another man, or is it the one that his wife is still collecting money from her ex but he can't say anything cos he doesn't want to look insecure, trying to be 'woke' while bitter and unhappy. Or the nonsense yahoo boys that would be buying cars and expensive items in an attempt to please a girl who gives him nothing, but to give his fellow guy 5k na war.. pussy whipped niggaz everywhere..
Y'all disgust me.. like that nonsense skales kneeling and begging a girl to marry him, when his mates are collecting grammy.. Nonsense shameless boy, no wonder he no gree blow.. to think his first single under EME records is titled 'heading for a grammy'.. but him no get focus, common local headies award sef him no see..
See how them girls where attacking their father in that post.. I pity you if you dey follow woman mouth, because you don't want them to insult you, you go dey lose guard, you go suffer for this life.. for your information, Nigerian has the highest number of partanity fraud cases in the world.. na weak men dey suffer am pass..

Let me tell you a secret, fucking all these weak men babe is more easy than getting a prostitute.. and from my research, it's also same with their wives.. weak men finish last. You niggaz are batches mahn.. y'all should be wearing skirt like bobrisky

    2. Anon 21:48 keep kwayet and seat down there..so u don't know that Nigerian women are now prime breadwinners of the home? They hide that fact to protect their husbands pride and ego but shamefully most naija men too are now embracing marrying a woman mainly for how much more money she can bring to the table because they are not financially fit, hardworking ambitious or man enough to handle majority of the house bills..say what u know and not what some poor lady disguises as truth 4 you. Many naija homes will be below below poverty line If not for the women pitching in..e choke
      E dey hard to swallow

  23. Some of the words and examples used by Mr. Edochie may be wrong. But truth be told, there is no feminism in marriage.

Some women claim feminists, but have not contributed up to the amount of their bride price to the financial wellness of their families. Others who contribute, do so with groaning not out of lack but because they believe they are doing the man's job.

Marriage as celebrated in African, Middle East, and old India countries does not recognize feminism.

Even the rights asserted by and granted women in Europe and the USA in marriage are not really feministic but social security and general law based. For example, a well written pre-nuptial takes away almost all rights given to a woman in the USA when a marriage breaks. The law only steps in to prevent destitution for the woman (prevent the use of the State fund for caring for the woman)

Also, the idea that a wife is not respecting her husband or not being submissive because he is not a real man - protector, provider, and leader is not always true. It is like saying the husband who engage in infidelity does so because his wife is not a good mother, good home maker, good cook, good sex partner, plus provider/contributor. A woman could have all listed attributes plus more, yet the man would be found on top of the least expected female. As it is with men so it is with women. Some women cannot be submissive to their husband or any man for that matter. Sometimes, the issue is spiritual, or psychiatric, or psychologic. Not knowing the true cause of the woman's problem, her apologists would call her a feminist.

Every married woman has marital rights. Those rights are, however, not feminists rights.

    1. Leave those miserable ones to keep deceiving themselves

    2. But there is humanism. Marriage is between two humans whom God called equals in Genesis, not things. Most of these traditions and pasts our fathers and grandfathers recall are from colonial Nigeria, when British culture, laws and morals, mixed with Christianity, saw women as less than dogs. Dig into precolonial Nigerian history and you will learn that women were treated way better in virtually every tribe. There's even a tribe in Plateau and one in Igboland where women could have more than one husband (before you shout it's a lie, do your research). I get where Chief Edochie is going. But his version of history is also tainted and unfair. Oh, and if you understand what feminism is fighting for, you would understand that it includes marital rights for both parties, not just one. Submission is not slavery. If BOTH parties are happy, everyone is happy. Some of us should consider re-raising ourselves to erase the damage colonial mentality aka tradition has done to us. Tradition is how dead people control the living. Way too many hurt people walking around hurting others in the name of gender, God and culture. 🙏

    3. Anonymous 00:54 You are so dead right...Tradition is actually peer pressure from the dead...I have been watching a lot of history and I saw that our forefathers had huge respect for women..Na white man come dey segregrate and look down on women

  29. There are many things so wrong with what that man said. Watched the interview and it was kinda saddening. He said back then men used to see women as 'beautiful things'. That's one of the problems. Women were just things. It was as if they were not human but more like beautiful objects to be had and do as pleasing. Women these days know they belong to themselves. They can actually set the course for their lives. These two generations of women are different. Women these days are realising that you don't have to stay in a marriage just because. Times have changed.

Leaving your matrimonial home in the morning and return home very late and drunk. Our mothers never even dreamt of doing so. Beating women was not a thing in the environment where I grew up. We never heard stories of our fathers beating our mothers. He grew up in the east, I guess it was very common there. I saw my parents quarreled only twice in my entire life, there was no beating. Just exchange of words. On the two occasions my mum didn't allow us stay with her,she insisted we go stay with our dad.
