      The alphabet Q is call "Kew" but pronounced- "kw". You spell words using phonics (sounds). So "queue" is pronounced kw-yoo just like it's homophone "Kew" and the name of the letter "Qq".

      Although you say "queue" the same as the name of the letter "Qq", it needs the rest of the letters to make it have the "queue" meaning.
