Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

 Hmmmm....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
SPIRITUALLY AND BIOLOGICALLY DISTURBED FAMILY

My husband is the best, his family is the best too, But if I knew what I know now, I wouldn’t have married him.

Lesson to young girls, always ask questions about family history before entering into marriage.

Modern life made me skip those traditional askings; now I have disabled kids. After marriage, I found out my brother In-law too was disabled, I never met him before marriage…

A lot is going on with the family, biologically and spiritually, but they are nice individuals. I drive luxury cars, have millions in my account but I’m not happy and because my hubby is very nice, I hide my sadness from him coz I don’t ever want him to feel bothered…

Ask the right questions before Marriage!

You say what???

you don't necessarily need to see a fetish priest, we do it in our family, we always check the family background of our inlaw-to-be whether there is madness in the lineage, generational curses, character of the person while growing up etc. we do this by travelling to their village or ask the neighbours around their family house.

      Delete
    4. @15:30, I think you are wrong it is not that kind of asking.

The poster said she had never met her brother in law until after marriage..

When people were to get married in time past. Somone will be sent from the family to make inquiries about the family and what kind of people they are. I believe that's what she is talking about. Not fetish pls.

When my brother wanted to marry a lady then in PH. The lady's father na very rich man n higly placed. He chased my bros away.lol. Firstly, dat he couldn't release his only daughter to a Yoruba guy he didn't know from Adam.
The lady cried her eyes out
My bro just dey think otherwise say na cos he kno get money dats y d man chased him away
The lady said her dad didn't chase him away cos of money but cos of distance
Unknown to us dat d man don send few people to our village in Ondo to check our family background
He also send a CID officer to my family house in Ibadan to stay with my mum and dad, this CID officer pretended to be my bro's friend dat he came all the way from PH to have a seminar in Ibadan.
He spent 4days in.our house and saw how my parents used to relate like old schl Remeo and Juliet, how They would wake up and go morning Mass togeda et al
And saw how me and my sis behaved for d number of days he spent with us
It was on d day of introduction d man apologized to my family n bross dat he sent CID to investigate our family
Las las d man allowed my bro married d girl in a bigger way

Ps: this happened in 2000. I believe it would be difficult for d CID to stay in our house now cos my parents would have reached my bro on fone if truly he sent someone to come stay wit us.

  4. Quite empathize with you lady.
Please treat your husband well, he is not the cause of the problems.
Are there believers in Christ in that family?
Gather them together to fast and pray on a daily basis until there is victory over the forces that are at work against the family.

    1. Not gathering them for fasting n pray is the solution. Are the people involved know they have issues? There must be agreement before liberation will take place. "Unless 2 agree...."

  8. I also know a family that does not lack a mad person in every generation.
It got so bad that even the females became extra burdens; no marriage.
It took one of them to be dumped on her wedding day to wake up. She became a believer in Christ and began fasting and prayer. She was soon joined by the wife of one of her brothers, then the daughter and on and on. She never stopped until every girl in that family was married off and everyone saved.
What she found out among other things, when she began to pray was that their great grand mother slept outside of marriage with a rich man who was an occultist.
Dear, for the sake of your kids, and grand kids, fight this battle now.

  9. Your kids are not disabled. They're kids with special needs/kids with disabilities. I hope young ladies learn from your chronicles. Being nice alone doesn't do it, one need to shine his/her eyes so as not to allow "niceness" block his/her sense of reasoning and being objective.

  10. When I began praying for my family for a similar issue, I was fighting in the dream every night with all kinds of monsters. At some point they wanted me to stop fasting and calling on "that name" or else... I did not relent. The more I was attacked, the more I persisted. It took me 8 months, that was during one of the ASUU strikes in the early 90s. Thank God for our family today. We have preachers, doctors, Engineers and above all, everyone is saved, married, have kids and calling upon "that name;" Jesus Christ. Life is spiritual people. And in Christ is victory.

  12. I am not rulling the spiritual aspect out but at times some of this disabilities are in the genes.some times, they are recessive in some individuals while dominant in others.my mum have a distant cousin, they are not super rich but comfortable. Some of this woman's children were deaf and they did all they could do but they still remained deaf.
The deaf ones went ahead to marry and none of their kids were deaf while one of those that could hear gave birth to another deaf child.
Just like the case of the popular blind musician, that still gave birth to a blind child.
I hope you've checked if it's medical,so you can deal with before your kids transfer to their offspring.

    6. Are you guys saying that a deaf or blind child is bad? So because on the day of creation God said all he made, before he made man, was good, then anything that doesn't meet your standards is bad? The same bible says we shouldn't call anyone good because only God is good. There are disabilities in genes, just like sickle cell and height. Doesn't mean the people with such things are bad or spiritually afflicted. God allows these things for a purpose. Stop condemning what you don't understand on God's behalf. The stigma is enough already.

I did not see church mentioned church there. If the Bible is "pointless" to you, it is not pointless to every other person on this blog or cyber space. Supposing this commenter quoted Socrates or Plato, will you have written that she is 'not a Socrates or Plato follower" or used that word "pointless?" Please some of us love Scriptures and love to learn it okay? It is not difficult, if you see Bible mentioned or quoted, scroll past. Hiaa!

    8. @21:13
I did not say that they are bad, neither did I condemn anyone in my comments. I said God made everything very good, that is if you take time to read the Scripture under reference. That does not mean that there is nothing unwholesome in the world. In the next two chapters, we saw the enemy of God and mankind in the Garden of Eden and the sufferings began. But Jesus was made manifest to destroy the devil's works 1 John 3:8. Please try to understand and not attack.

    9. 22.12 my point is someone who is not a true believer will not accept the Bible's stance, thus her comment that the baby burst its ear drums.

  17. Taking care of disabled children can be torturous. If you have the strength and if you can forgive yourself, snuff the life out of them and adopt healthy kids. Take it from a medical practitioner, those kids are never gonna get better and you'll spend your whole life in sadness just taking care of them. This is a very merciful advice that I'm not supposed to give. Sometimes there may not be spiritual issues like you allude it. But something is wrong somewhere if you have more than a disabled kid.

    8. Thing is that some people believe in and practice Euthanasia. They'd rather kill the person than allow them to be suffering. But this commenter eee, I only know Euthanasia to be common when a person has a terminal disease and suffering so much. Then either he/she or the family may decide to exercise Euthanasia and end the suffering than waiting for the person to die.

This one you are advising is pure murder.

  24. Please BVs, let's try and use the right terminologies when referring to disabilities. We never can tell, a PWD ( Person With Disability) might be reading this blog. Please don't let us use discriminatory terms.

They are not DISABLED. Let us stop saying "Disabled children/Disabled people/Disabled Inlaw" but Children with Disabilities. In my field, we call them Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and not "disabled".

    They also have clusters and different terminologies we use;

    1. Physical Disabilities ( what people call lame and/or without limbs-hands and legs including the amputees)
    2. Polio Survivor
    3. Virtually Impaired ( instead of using Blind. Although most of them won't mind calling them blind but some might find it offensive)
    4. Auditory Impaired (Deaf and dumb)
    5. Spinal Cord Injury
    6. Albinism etc.

  25. In my family, it is madness. This is why I married another tribe so they don't even know what is going on in my family.
There is no generation that doesn't have at least one mad person in my family. One of my female cousins died mad, she ran mad while in nursing school . Oh how we wept, very beautiful and brilliant lady, died in her 30s almost 20 yrs ago. One of my uncles also died few years ago, he was raving mad till he died. He was living in one of the abandoned family houses.
Another of my late mad uncle beheaded one his brother's wives back in those days when I was still small. It usually starts like mental problem and degenerates as the years go by. I pray that none of my kids have it as none of my siblings has it. I am too lazy to pray abeg.
My mum was a strong prayer warrior, she used most of her life to pray, now old and weary. My dad died with mental illness. His own started small small, he was working and looked normal but would always fight everyone around him, he would flare up at a little misunderstanding and go on and on, shouting. We all knew whats up. It got serious in old age.
Background check is good. It saves the future. My mum and dad are from the same state but her people did not do background check, they just saw my well dressed dad and his people and handed their daughter to them. It is well. Dad lived in the city while mum was a naive village girl. Jesus is Lord.

    2. Did you read the comments in 15:24 and 15:30? I could have concluded that you wrote both if not that you wrote that "lazy to pray."
Nobody is "too lazy to pray." Nobody is born praying. It is something we all learn by doing and by perseverance. If your mom did it, why not continue it? Do you think of your grand and great grand kids and their generations or you are just thinking only about yourself? Besides, Jesus taught that there is reward in prayer, see Matthew chapter 6.

    3. This is why I don’t like inter tribal marriage because most may be running from some stigma people in their state know very well about their family. Now you have introduced serious madness into that boys lineage.

I hope he’s not Yoruba because, if any of your children show traces his whole family will become ostracized and people will talk. Then they will perform investigation, find out it’s you and you will see hell my dear. If you have such violent history of mental illness running in your family, please don’t procreate. Adopt and live in peace. Don’t go and bring trouble on another family or innocent children. I was shocked the whole time I was reading this.
