  3. Financial independence;
    Before marriage? Yes
    In marriage? No, the two becomes one and their finances isn't separate. It is one and the same.
    Same currency, account, investments etc.
    Anything outside that is. . . cohabitation.

    1. African women, please be finally secure in marriage so that the bible is not used against you by men looking for someone to cage or feed off of. Two full ones become one, not one or more fractions.

      Proverbs 31 is not just about submission and suffer head but financial independence and ownership. The chapter is the longing of a failure who wasted his wisdom and nearly bankrupted his kingdom so bad that he was looking for a woman to feed off of and use. Did any verse there say the husband of the woman foots the entire bill? Did he write about a man empowering his woman financially? Which financially empowered woman will have time for one randy husband that have her no. 152 when she can afford subduing that will be ministering to her nocturnally? . That is how you know it's a scrub poem. This man wanted his women but didn't want the responsibility that babe with being a husband which is why he was dreaming of a made woman in an era when jokers like him prohibited women from owning or inheriting wealth.

      When Uncle Solo couldn't get that Ethiopian queen to drop her ATM card, he started nagging in Ecclesiastes that he has never met a good woman since his own mother was no prize.

      Read your Bible to favor you. Men have been doing it forever.

    2. @19:01
      You are the one twisting the Bible like you have a horse in the race.
      So the Queen of Sheba that brought so much gold in camel loads did not "drop her ATM?"
      Are you serious right now?
      Same Solomon that Gold was treated like silver, silver was like iron in his time?
      Do you read your bible at all, do you have one, say a bible app in your phone from where you typed this?

  4. 16:45, I really get baffled when a fanatic makes reference to christianity without consulting the Bible.

    Read about the virtuous woman please, the Bible says she looks at a vineyard and purchases it with HER OWN EARNINGS! So, a woman should actually be financially independent in marriage and that doesn't mean she would not offer support.

    1. I agree, my parents had joint accounts but my Mum still had one or two salary accounts that were independent. And they are as united and as ONE as ONE can be. No two marriages will ever be completely the same. It's unfair to place burdens on people from your own point of view that Christ himself didn't place. Same way we can serve God in different ways but still achieve the same purpose. Martha felt Mary or everyone had to be like her.. serving God so hard-workingly and trying to please him. But Jesus accepted Mary's method of worship and didn't judge either. Infact he said he preferred Mary's, but still didn't make Martha leave the kitchen. So 16.45, what you're busy judging may also be acceptable to God.. just a food for thought

    1. Being housewife doesn't mean a woman shouldn't have something little doing at the side. What if something happens to her marriage?
