Dominion Okoro, the housemaid who killed ex Edo state governor Lucky Igbinedion's 85 year old mum has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing the woman and carting away all her jewelries from her residence in Benin city where the crime took place.
The maid had confessed '' I killed mama to carry her money. She did not offend me. While she was sleeping on her bed, around 12:01 a.m on December 2, 2021, I used a stool to hit her on the head and she was shouting for help but only the gateman was around and he did not hear the shout. Mama later died. I waited till 4 a.m. before leaving the house with her N100,000, wristwatch and jewelries. I escaped to Cross River State, but I was later arrested by the police''.

Thank God someone saw through that sham confession. Who needs to kill a sleeping 80+ year old sleeping woman to steal from her? This was the target from day one to tie it on this girl.

They wont even allow her to be freely questioned by journalists like Chidinma. Its only what the police presents as confession that is presented to the public. Girl, If you are innocent, may this sentence never be carried out.

DeletePoor girl really? If only u know the evil this people are capable of. My parents friends (Both 75) were poisoned by their maid not much older than this girl, robbed and left for dead. All the kids are abroad. If their enemy had died and suspect was caught and confessed, same way people will say it was a frame up cos the man is a retired judge. It was his enemies and they forced the girl to confess.
DeletePoor girl indeed...if you see the little 14 year old girl that used to come with one mama to our church 2017 to 2018. the day they called me to tell me,that Hannah the 14 year old killed mama. The whole neighborhood was in shock. She actually used stone to crush the woman's head. Brutal and she did it all alone.
Delete@Ms Saphire i shiver at your comments sometimes. My inlaw, an old defenseless woman was killed in mushin by her housemaid. Her head was smashed with a big stone and her valuables stolen away. Your type will still see such an evil maid and say she was framed. They usually do this when they know these peoples kids are far away. This particular mama was not even so strong cos of her health, she had another relative living with her but that one travelled just for an exam.

DeleteMy uncles mother inlaw was also killed in such gruesome manner. She even lives with her tenants but was alone in d compound and her flat when everyone was at work and school. Till date they didnt catch the culprit. 78yr old woman dat shld be resting in old age. Hit with blunt object.

Our Nigerian police are too lazy to further investigate the real cause of murder but always quick to find any easy way out
ReplyDeleteIt will shock you what some people can do. Is it not on this blog that I read of a teenager who raped and killed a woman and her baby at a stream when she resisted rape? If this girl is innocent I hope God comes through for her. But things are happening sha.
