AMEBO CHRONICLES - Judas Spotted!

This is serious!

I see a particular building every day and each time I look at the design I shake my head because I know that there is going to be a lot of drama when they move in.

The building has 12 units of room and parlor self-contain on a large piece of land. The owner put two water tanks, a pumping machine and 4 pre-paid meters. That means one group’s meter will be connected to the pumping machine.

Most of the flats there are occupied by large families, other flats were either singles guys or single ladies. I don’t know how they did it but one of the trio sharing a meter agreed to connect the pumping machine and others will contribute N400 for the units every month.

Trouble started when the trio started complaining that their units were draining and they should move it to another person’s own. I heard the trio were a quiet bunch and didn’t mind anything thrown at them. But what changed?

Hahaha of course there will always be a Judas amongst the 12 disciples, and this Judas I hear goes from flat to flat forming one Nigeria and eating peoples food.

She told one of the trio how everyone decided behind their back before coming to tell them because they knew they were “mumu”. She also said they were complaining that the N400 was too much and it’s as if they are the one buying units for them. Ha!

Judas did not know that quiet people are dangerous. These trio were just doing their own for humanity and it was not convenient for them now they are complaining??? They just called electrician to disconnect the pump from their meter without informing anyone.

Water finished and one person went to put on the pump but it didn’t come on LOL. They thought it was the machine until they traced the light and found out it was disconnected. They begged but the trio refused. Oya o someone should connect na, mbanu no one volunteered.

They called Landlord and he said they should sort it out. As I type they are still carrying buckets and basin up and down the street fetching water.

I opened gate for one I was familiar with, only for me to come out and find plenty people at the tap ennhenn see them selfish people no wahala. Next day before 7am they were knocking the gate I didn’t even answer neither did my neighbors because they were not even cool with it.

Adults behaving like kids over something they can’t do without.

  3. This is the same problem we are having,I decided to put the pumping machine on my meter because the landlady refuse stop buy prepaid meter for the pumping machine, each flat is to contribute every month, some people will take forever to bring theirs and they have up to 6 people living with them in a 2bedroom flat, sometimes some crazy neighbors will switch on the pump at 2am and sleep off,I will just wake up to noise of rushing waters, sometimes I text some of them to switch it off for me and nobody will accept responsibility tht they were the one that switched it on,I have decided that the next neighbor should continue from where I stop,by next month,I will disconnect it,how can you leave a meter running at 2am,sometimes 1am and go to sleep knowing fully well that it on someone's meter?

    1. I’m stressed on your behalf already 😩😩😩😩😩.
Why are human beings so difficult naaa
Why would they just switch it on and leave it to be running?
So I suggest you confirm the price of buying a new meter and connecting it and inform them to contribute for it by a specific date. And then afterwards, let there be a ‘pump guard’ rotation rooster. What I mean by that is that each month, a particular family handles water issues and collects money for the units.
If they don’t agree, remove it let everyone begin to hustle water from
      Aboki people.

I HATE stress with my whole being especially stress that I brought upon myself by trying to help others

    2. Let everyone connect to the meter with different wires but each flat will pump per time. Everyone cab pump at the same time.
Everyone will be responsible and accountable to their meter...

    1. Or having a landlord who is penny wise pound foolish. An extra meter for the water pump would have prevented the problem.

  11. It's a good thing that she exposed what was said behind the trio. The trio would have continued doing the good work thinking that the people they are doing it for apprecites their kindness gesture; but thank God they now know their place with the help of the amebo neighbor

  12. This story only made me laugh 😃 😀 😄
Reminds me of people in this my compound, 4 units of 2 bedroom flat.
Each time nepa doesn't bring light they don't always want to pump water with their gen.
Only my flat pumps and they will all use it, we too began to ignore pumping water anytime nepa doesn't bring light, e come choke, now their head don reset.
Many humans in this naija tend to take advantage of kind people, so from time to time they need to be shown the other side of things

  13. The Anebo neighbor is still suffering the same fate. Wicked landlord why didn't he fix a different meter for the pumping machine as most landlords do. The landlord will be forced to act by the time some of the tenants pack out & new ones refuse to rent the property because of lack of water

  14. My landlady made ours easy for us. Each flat pumps each month. We have four flats so we get to pump water 3 times in a year

  15. Amebo neighbour did the right thing. I hate it when people take advantage of single tenants.

  16. See suffer head. I blame the landlord. He should have connected the pumping machine individually now
