NSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD


When I had my second baby, I had a caesarean section. I healed fast and was discharged on the third day.

I was taught to take care of the C-section area by cleaning with spirit regularly and letting running water run over the site till it healed completely. I did this regularly.

Yet after a week the C-section site was inflamed and open at two spots and was infected. So I sought help and was told the first thing was to get plenty of rest which I wasn’t, resting helps the body heal faster.

Also I shouldn’t have carried anything heavier than my baby. Taking the stairs repeatedly is no no.( I was doing this because of post natal appointments).

I also learnt that soaking in the bath tub can increase the rate of infection. Not using recommended antibiotics properly can cause infection. Standing for to long, wearing tight clothes, dehydration and severe constipation can put extra pressure on the site and affect healing.

In case of infection in a C-section site, the best thing is to go to the hospital quickly so they can carry out test to know the cause of the infection and carry out appropriate treatment.

Reading this took me down memory lane of pain from CS, i dont want to remember at all.

I wonder why a young promising guy would tend to venture into taking of drugs all in the name of BIG BOY. Do these guys even think of the consequences of their actions or theRE is someone somewhere they impress with such actions.

After church service on Sunday, I got home and was so hungry but no light because me can't use gas to cook beans at all(it won't work) then I resulted to spag then left home to get fresh pepper. I got to where I wanted to buy pepper and no one to attend to me, the seller and other people gathered near the shop


I tried to see what was happening, when I got there, it was a very handsome young guy, who was vomiting seriously and acting like someone who is about to go mad on the street. Then I asked someone what was going on. The lady I asked said "no mind this mumu, he go carry hard drugs wey him brain no fit work on", not quite long, some of his friends brought bucket of water and began to pour on him and after some time, he was given two tins of milk  to take.


I called the attention of the pepper seller, bought what I came for then went home but I was so sad seeing that young guy venturing into such act all in the name of "I want to be a big boy" or "Na we dey town" at this stage of life that people are running away from what can kill them.


I wonder what would have happened to him if he was not quickly attended to? what position or in what state of health will the mother or father be on hearing the bad news about their son(provided anyone of them is still alive). Who do we really want to oppress or impress? This also goes to you,yes you, I mean you reading this. Why do you take excess alcohol when you know you can only take two bottles? why do you see every free bottle as an avenue to experiment your foolishness in alcohol?


Stop going beyond your boundary, do things moderately and stay away from things that are harmful to your body system. Don't compete with anyone when it comes to alcohol and not only that, food also can be harmful to you when taken excessively. Do yourself a favor by knowing and sticking to your level.
