EX DSP Ekweremadu's Daughter Sonia Begs For Kidney Donor And Says Has Been Diagnosed With Acute Kidney Damage

Sonia, the daughter of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu posted a plea, begging members of the public to donate kidney to her.
Sonia, whose parents are currently facing charges of organ harvesting in the United Kingdom posted the plea on Monday September 12, 2022 on Instagram...

She also revealed the former DSP has been diagnosed with Acute Kidney Damage in detention in the UK......

She posted....

I, Sonia Ekweremadu, hereby appeal to the general public to come to my aid and save my life.

I am 25 years old and a graduate of Media and Communications, University of Coventry. I dropped out of my post graduate studies at the University of Newcastle in 2019 when I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, FSGS Nephrotic Syndrome. My family has battled to save my life and has taken me to various hospitals, but the illness persisted and kept degenerating. I am alive today by the special grace of God. I am presently in London, UK, receiving 5 Hours of dialysis 3-4 times a week. This is at the expense of my family as I am not qualified for NHS due to my immigration status.

The last 3 years have been extremely challenging. The charges being faced by my parents in London presently, are directly connected to my illness and have complicated matter for me and my family. I do not intend to delve into details of this unfortunate development as the matter is still in Court. I am however optimistic that the truth will prevail and it will end in praise to God.

In the circumstance above, I am appealing to anybody whom it may please to assist me willingly with a kidney donation in the name of God.

This appeal would have been utterly unnecessary as every member of my family is eager to donate their kidney to me, knowing that I would do the same for any of them. Regrettably, comprehensive medical examination showed that my case of nephrotic syndrome is a genetic illness and the doctors advised against donation from any of my family members, as it would likely reoccur. In the time that my father has been incarcerated, he has been diagnosed with acute kidney damage.

Anybody that is moved by this appeal and wishes to donate his or her kidney to me may send an email to helpsonialive@gmail.com and include his or her name, phone number, email address and place of residence.

Please, note that under the laws of England and Wales, organ donation must be purely driven by compassion and therefore no reward is involved.

Finally, I have decided to commit and dedicate myself to helping people with the challenges of kidney disease, upon my full recovery.

Thank you and God bless you''.

    2. A Classic case of when sins of the fathers visit the children. Do you know how many families that our politicians ruined as a result of their greed or wants ? They want so much but how much do one person really need ? If we had better hospitals in Enugu or Nigeria, this lady would have been getting her treatment in Nigeria and the kidney donation/transplant would have been done here easily. Do we know how many persons die in Nigeria as a result of kidney failure ? Unfortunately, our politicians don't care about her citizen. They send their children to best schools abroad and medical institution. I know it is not your fault......Well, It is well my dear. I will pray for you. God will surely heal you. God will send a destiny donor to you if/when your parents confess their sin to God, ask for forgiveness and repent. Your dad must quit politics and give back everything that belongs to the people. You must reject everything that belongs to people and be sincere with God.....No wayo right now. Once I confessed and made a personal vow to God, to never go back to my old ways and mean't it, the healing came. The strength to cheat death came..God will heal you. DON'T GIVE UP..... Stay strong ADA NWA!!!. You will not die. You will live and testify the goodness and mercy of God in Jesus name, Amen..

    1. Honestly if her papa was good. If he’d saved or lifted anyone in life this wouldn’t be an issue no Nigerian will ever willingly donate kidney for a politicians daughter without money ever. Money is never everything I’ve always known this.look at where asuu is but she schooled in Coventry. All the stolen money is now being used for very expensive treatment in uk. I feel for her but the bible said the sins of the father will be visited on the children

    2. Please this is a big lie. Most Nigerians are wicked and won't want to help. They only help where money is involved. It doesn't matter if her father is good or bad. Moreover, kidney sickness isn't because of her father's wickedness, life just happened to her plus it is genetic in her case. If you are interested in donating you can. I am sure money is involved, they just don't want to announce and have problem with uk government

    3. My sister, i am not being sentimental here, but i do not pity any politician or their children. Go to villages and see what these people have done to locals, people cannot afford basic things of life because of these people’s greed to save for their future generation. The funny thing is, yes i said funny, they always have one chronic disease they are treating, either them or their children.
Dear Sonia, may God heal you, but truth is, i don’t think Nigerians would want to interfere with what God is doing in your life. Thank you.

    4. They're not foolish to do this,. They probably have already had arrangements with a donor, who'll send a mail talking about how he's driving by compassion to donate his.. so they can get this over with

    1. This is what they were meant to do in the first place but believing money answers all things they decided to exploit a poor homeless boy.
These politicians don’t bother to build or develop hospitals and other infrastructures because they believe they can have access to them regularly abroad not caring about the plight of the poor.
Most of their children school abroad and they are not bothered about the current ASUU strike.
I bet if they had succeeded with the kidney transplant with that young man, they won’t even have the heart to sponsor him to study abroad but would have just discarded him taking him back to the streets.
Most of these people are very wicked and just users.
They just wanted to exploit that boy but they failed. They have friends, families but they picked a homeless boy without informing his family, now that the law has caught up with them, they are trying to do things the right way.

Can't imagine peter Obi coming out to make a public plea like this and not get answers within seconds. People are willing to sacrifice anything for him just because of his humanly personality and kind nature.

    1. Just know that in Nigeria, for every Sonia Ikweremadu you read about, there are hundreds of Jane and John Does who cannot afford even hospital, they can’t go beyond a pharmacist because of these same politicians that have looted money to send their kids to “coventry”. All of them, both the muslim ones and the christain ones, the only time they remember us is when they either need our votes or our kidneys.

  9. I really feel for her at this point. Is kidney donor that hard to get even with all the money the family have gotten? If her father had gone to India or outside the UK, all this problems facing them now won't have occured.

I would have indicated interest ooh but I no understand the one wey be say there's no reward. Abi no be money the donor go live on in taking good care of his or her health?

Abi will the father make me his inlaw?

    ReplyDelete

    1. They will definitely reward the person.
But you know once between twice shy, offering money to the donor or promising the donor a better life is a crime in the UK so they hage to be silent about that.

      Delete
    2. It’s the reward thing that has put the family in trouble today. They will probably not say anything about it again. But what I do know is that whoever helps them by donating a kidney will probably be set for life afterwards
