    3. Asin...couldn't watch to the end. That movie is very boring.

    4. Toyin go for a story writers course and a directors course

So you can add depth to yourself and have masterpieces at best you try at worst you make mediocre sound like praise

  10. They are both doing well but honestly,Toyin has burned me too many times. Her movies are wack and over exaggerated especially when she is the lead actor. Sometimes her characters tend to be a knock off of Funke's. Frankly,I don't enjoy Toyin's movies at all. She shouldn't take criticism as hate and just make corrections.

  11. There's this thing a Catholic cleric said I read somewhere. He said when in a horrible or uncomfortable situation, silently pray and accept that situation as penance/atonement for your wrongdoings.

So if your phone is stolen or your car breaks down, while grieving, accept or offer that situation as a penance.

I'm not a Catholic and do not necessarily believe or practice penance but once in a while, when I find myself in really shitxy or horrible situations, I just pray and accept it as my penance.

Like yesterday when because of my sister's recommendation we went to watch Toyin's movie Ijakumo.

    Oh lord. The penancesssssssss.

The movie is so bad. So bad, dear lord.

That Instagram girl that overacts and does skits with Shank and has that voice that sounds like nails on a board and has the personality of plain white rice played twins in it and her acting was just so annoying. So so annoying.
Toyin's acting made me want to find her and have a heart to heart discussion cos why are you doing alladat? Why? Is it a must to form baddo?

I can't believe they dragged the goddess that is Bimbo Akintola into this.

Toyin should please please please stay away from producing movies for at least, opekatampe 3 years.

The movie is like an unfunny IG skit for doing ads for brands.

Kunle fxck woman finish and wanted to do round 2. He brought out a gallon and said "Sharon I'm ready for you. Let me drink asiwaju herbs. It's what I used that made me go hard on you the first time".

He didn't stop there o. He continued for 3 more minutes advertising and extolling the great qualities of asiwaju herbs.

Talmbout "it gives strength, clears infections, blablabla, it is what made me fxck you sotey your eyelash fly off. Wait till I use it again".
Then he pours it into a glass, drinks it and goes ahhh.

Have you people not heard about SUBTLE ADVERTISING? That ad took over 3 minutes. Everyone in the cinema was hissing and murmuring.

There is literally a scene where Toyin advertises 3 brands shamelessly IN ONE SCENE!

She wants to pay this girl and goes "I can only pay you through crypto. Let me have your wallet"
The girl: no problem, I use JTech global.
Toyin: oh I've heard of them. They're very affordable and reliable
The girl: very fast. And on WhatsApp too.
Toyin: ok let me go to their website www dot jtech dotcom. It's so easy.

    ***
She literally spelt out the website. Why!!!!!!

Toyin: I've booked your flight back to Uganda via wakanow. They are the best in blablabla and blobloblo. They give good prices for both national and international nyenyenye.

    WHY!!!!!!!

Then one more ad I've forgotten. ALL 3 IN ONE SINGLE SCENE!
Why couldn't they be subtle? Why pack 3 long ads in one single scene?

Should I talk about the plausibility of a criminal syndicate all having flash drives containing their scams and details of their evil?
    How!
Why would a group of high profile criminals all have flash drives with records of their evils and mùrders when they know if it leaks it'll bring them down? Why would they keep it in their houses too? Why not a safe deposit box in the bank?

Why use the hackneyed twin trope? Why????? Una no dey taya to do identical twins wey dem separate from birth? One must be Jesus baby and the other must be ashawo. Una no dey tayaaaaaaaaa??? Tueh

Then the hacker hacking something that according to her would take the best hackers in the world 24 hours under 2 seconds. HOW!

Then Anto typing kpra kpra kpra on her keyboard for 3 seconds and shouting done every single time. Na so e easy to hack? CIA no do reach like this let alone an Idumota hacker that likes licking 20 naira lollipop.

What is the explanation for their syndicate members getting kidney diseases just like that? Plus upon all the billions they have, they cannot fly them abroad? Dem dey collect treatment for Yaba like the rest of us?

Ah, this movie vexed my spirit.

This is the worst movie I've seen in a cinema in a long while. Everyone in the cinema stood up before it ended.

    Copied

Toyin, please get a good script writer
I prefer her acting than producing.

Mobimpe that produces mostly on YouTube is kinda better.

Guys, the owner/ writer of the anon's copied post above is Ijeoma Chinonyerem.

I follow her on Facebook and best believe her brain is golden.

    12. Toyin only questionable IQs and mediocres are impressed by your producing and directing attempts. There are many of such in Nigeria and flashing your mammaries will pass muster with such as"celebrity style" but you can do and should do better lest you become a 2 /3 trick wonder catering to the dregs when you can aim for the cream and entire crop

    13. The writer is Ijeoma Chinonyerem. Mr or Ms copy and paste the owner of your copied post has a name. Putting only "copied" does not acknowledge the owner.

  13. Inasmuch as I love Toyin,I don't have strength for her films, can't wait to watch Battle on Buka street.
Maybe the competition is that Funke feels that Toyin seems to be imitating her acting style.Thats my personal thought on it.

  14. I am not a fan of both! I watched the original movie jenifa, was okay ! But the remake in series is a no for me. I watched Alakada original, but the reloaded is junk as far as I am concerned. I don’t do Nollywood or Nigeria series. I can watch the very old movies done in the 90s and early 2000s;?but this new movies , my attention span is 10mins . I enjoy Yoruba movies and Mount Zion movies as well. By the way I am not Yoruba Any movie that I don’t get a moral lesson from in the first 10 mins, I stop 🛑 watching, no time to waste on frivolous story lines, I am more of a YouTube fanatic! I hardly watch TV.

  18. Both are doing well. Each of them have her audience and are both cashing out . Taste bud varies. Even in Literature back in the University, we studied classics, English literature and African literature. Under African literature, there is Onitsha market literature. All the writers are known as creative writers. All have their market shares in terms of appeal and readership.

  19. Which yeye competition.
    Toyin that likes copy copy.
Be copying funke and over doing it.
Abeg no competition here, we know who is ahead.

  20. Funke is in no competition with Toyin

    ReplyDelete
  21. Never a fan of Nigerian movies or any movie at all but as for Funke and Toyin,I think they are both overrated or sometimes they exaggerate their roles especially Toyin when she first started and was speaking abroad English. Dont know if she has improved but goodluck to them both

    ReplyDelete
  22. Their movies are all crappy including Jennifer own too, rubbish movies that they are all pushing, worst they will bring those crappy movies to Netflix for international audience. It seems, since madam acquired some form of Netflix Africa, the thing has become tribal or friends and family affair, just a few good African, let me even say Naija Yoruba movies with some English there. Lol everybody speaking in native language because they want to be nominated for Oscar. Na so e easy. Madam, cast your net wide and stop putting up mediocre movies just because. Ake una biy stories, pay the owners of the stories well and stop embarrassing Africa with mediocrity. The thing Taya me sef

  23. But funke is far ahead.

    1. When you say far ahead you have to break it down. In my opinion they are on the same level just that one look like she has a wider support fans. But in terms of work etc. I can't really spot the difference. Acting and skill wise they do almost the same thing.

    2. i agree with you totally, Funke is overhyped abeg. My opinion.

  24. I went with my family to watch Toyin's Ijakumo. It was worth it. Nife movie. She should avoid adverts in her movies tho
