Some surrendered fighters have disclosed that late Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, left behind 83 concubines. Speaking in Maiduguri on Saturday, Special Adviser to Borno State governor on Security, Brig Gen. Abdullahi Ishaq (rtd), said some of the late Shekau’s associates told him about Shekau’s concubines after they surrendered and embraced peace.





Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has said he will ensure victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Kashim Shettima in Borno State, saying Shettima’s benevolence must not be betrayed.
Zulum spoke when the wife of APC presidential candidate, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, led the APC women’s North East campaign team on a courtesy call on him in Maiduguri, on Saturday.

 Bandits who kidnapped a young lady, Adenike, and another older lady, in Abuja Tuesday night, have requested a sum of N100million, and N60million respectively, from their relatives, as ransom for their freedom. Gunmen, numbering seven, had attacked the Kubwa Extension II Relocation Estate, Tuesday night, abducting seven residents and killing two males, during the attack which lasted about an hour.

 The Olunlosin of Eko Ajala in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State, Sunday Akinwale, has raised the alarm over the invasion of his palace by hoodlums allegedly sponsored by a traditional ruler in the area. Also, the monarch alleged that he was badly beaten by the hoodlums who invaded the palace at midnight and carted away his personal belongings and some artifacts.

Morocco coach, Walid Regragui, has explained why his team defeated Portugal 1-0 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-final tie on Saturday in Qatar.
Regragui said his team defeated Portugal at the Al Thumama Stadium because of ‘hard work’.
According to him, Morocco are “the Rocky Balboa of this World Cup” after the Atlas Lions became the first African country ever to reach the semi-finals in the competition.
