EX President Obasanjo Tells President Elect Tinubu To Carryout National Reconciliation

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has urged Nigeria's President-elect, Bola Tinubu to ensure his administration carries out national reconciliation.

Obasanjo made the appeal while lamenting that Nigeria is more divided since the conclusion of the general elections.
He said Tinubu’s administration must find ways of healing the wounds caused by the divisions.
Obasanjo spoke at a national seminar titled “From Elections to Governance and Performance” on Thursday.
According to Obasanjo: “Given what we saw during the election, Nigeria is now even more divided and more corroded than we thought.
“This places a deep onus on any administration following the current one, to urgently facilitate the process of national moral rearmament and national reconciliation for the aggrieved and will lead us across Nigeria and to assuage the youth.”

  2. Twisted news from corn whats app group. He never refereed to Tinubu and he doesn't believe Tinubu won the election. There will surely be a next administration which might be Tinubu, Obi, Atiku or an interim government. These are what he meant by next administration.

    2. Interim government because you can't stand basic principles of democracy like owning your L? Interim government that is the prequel to Abacha dictatorship? That counsel has long since been buried in Nigeria by God's grace and by the backing of those who paid the ultimate price for children of mediocres who could not even relay recent history to their children, to enjoy the freedoms of democracy. You lost an election. Prepare for the next one or present your case in court without noise. What a Yes Daddy mindset.

  5. Baba, you are the one inciting the youth with lies. As the biggest beneficiary of democracy in Nigeria, you are the one ever desperate to truncate it. If you are not resisting signing of the Freedom of information act, you are sitting on your oars, telling christians in the North to forgive and let sharia and religious riots continue. If you are not writing election results in your house or inflating then egg the help of Ayoka Adebayo, you were goading Nuru Ribadu to witch hunt those you disagreed with. If you were not spending state money to buy jeeps for your girlfriends, you were collecting legal bribes from people like Adenuga in the name of library donation. E ni lowo sir. In fact, you are the Odada that continues to sinisterly da the moment things don't go your way when it comes to democracy. For everything you did right, you made sure it cost Nigerians.

Your fake concern about the conduct if elections in 84 of the tens of thousands of wards in Lagos and your insistence on truncating an election process and leaving the country in legal limbo because your boy did not win his religious war is the reason why uninformed young people are hyperventilating over nothing. Your selfish letter writing and fake news is what has heated the policy. When people were literally dying for a lack of cash, you were selfishly numb in Otta there thinking you were hurting BAT. Now the opposition votes cancelled out and your greatest nightmare, a man who knows you very well and does not have to bow to you and your antics is next in line. Spend the time you have arranging your own family. Target winning your own polling booth for the first time in history.

    1. @anonymous 22:26. I can see you are a student of history and you are versed in the political antics of OBJ. You captured a lot in your post that many people could not discern on their own.

OBJ was one of the persons that gave consent against MKO for cancellation of June 12 elections.

OBJ worked against the ING of Ernest Shonekan. Same way he is working against Tinubu because OBJ will become complete history once Tinubu gets there.

A man that took billions of dollars under pretence of providing electricity and gave Nigerians darkness in return.

OBJ does not and has never wanted any Yoruba man be known above him. OBJ that threw away his long term friendship with Otunba Fasawe because Fasawe supported Atiku in ensuring OBJ’s seeking of a third term as President failed. Fasawe it was that took care of of all of OBJ’s family while in jail under Abacha.

OBJ that singlehandedly picked Yaradua and Jonathan and witch-hunted anybody that worked against his choice. Did he not occur to him then to select an Igbo man as President or VP? Now that Yorubas have rejected him, he has jumped to the camp of the Igbos to try fooling them.

OBJ that helped to kill Igbos during the civil war and tied Nigerian soldiers who were not willing to fight against the Igbos to trees and left them there for the Igbos to capture and slaughter.

The list goes on and only people who know him can see through every of his actions and inactions.
