Chude tweeted himself into trouble after making a claim about the President-elect, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He Tweeted
“So @officialBAT called Emeka Offor to beg Peter Obi to accept the rigged result,” he wrote on Twitter last month.
“If he is sure the people voted for APC and he won the election, why is he running around pleading with everyone to help beg Peter Obi to accept the result?”
On Thursday, Chude, who has more than 200,000 followers, was arraigned before Justice Gladys Olotu. He pleaded not guilty to one-count of cyberstalking.

On Thursday, Chude, who has more than 200,000 followers, was arraigned before Justice Gladys Olotu. He pleaded not guilty to one-count of cyberstalking.
In the charge filed on April 17, the police said on March 13, he intentionally sent a tweet from his Twitter handle “Chude” by means of computer system and network.
“…For the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience, danger, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to the person of Dr. Emeka Offor,” it reads.
Justice Olotu also ordered him to produce one surety, who must be a level 14 civil servant or a resident of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with landed property.
The judge adjourned the matter until May 17, 2023 for trial, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
The Inspector-General of Police, the complainant, sued Chude as a sole defendant in the charge marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/130/2023.
The police contended that Chude, who was arrested in Anambra, committed cyberstalking punishable under Section 24 (1)(b) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) ACT, 2015.

ReplyDeleteElupee's lying machine
It's well with him
Those people ehn, they tell terrible hate filled lies, and their gullible co-obidients will believe anything, as long as it makes Tinubu and APC look bad,
DeleteTheir object of hatred used to be Buhari but they switched the hatred to BAT once he became the APC flagbearer
@14:52 you hit the nail right on the head. Not surprising his fellow hate-filled liars are quiet on this.
DeleteEveryone has to guided on how they use the social media.
ReplyDeleteBe wise,Be smart.
Wahala de
ReplyDeleteGood for him.next time you won't peddle lies again
ReplyDeleteTweeted himself into court case just to trend and gain followership on unproven statement.
ReplyDeleteWhat he did was absolutely wrong but they had to temper mercy because he learnt from APC goons about 8 years ago.
DeleteIt's sad though, hope he learnt lessons.
I hope his fellow supporters will contribute and help him in trouble next time you will get sense
ReplyDeleteIt’s bad that they enacted a law to silence people. They didn’t have to arrest him. People have said worse things. When Buhari didn’t win and stated how the blood of the baboons will soak the sand, he did not get arrested. People in authority need to take it easy. We had the same security services in place when Jonathan was President
ReplyDeleteHonestly, they wasted too much time in arresting him sef. All these small children that managed to get a phone will just wake up and decide on what lies to tell just to gain traffic. Newsflash: some people do care about their reputation. I see him staying long in custody.
DeleteAnon 20:05, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Obidients are doing way too much. This is not the first time elections have been held in this country. The way they churn out hate filled stuff almost on a daily us to say the least mist appalling. No decorum. Uncouth mostly. They really need to calm down imp
ReplyDeleteSee how you explain the former away
