  1. The Nigerian system is designed to frustrate and annihilate. Sad, but true!
As good as subsidy removal is, couldn't they have at least found a way to cushion the effect on the masses first? How much is minimum wage again?
Now, it will cost me close to 40k to have full tank in my car. And that should last a little over 2 weeks. For how much salary? Transport fares will also triple. How are those who aren't mobile, supposed to cope for God's sake?!?
Prices of foodstuffs, will also go haywire in the market as well. Kai!
Why won't people be depressed and suicidal? Which kain country be dis?!
How are we even sure the money saved from subsidy, will truly be used to better the lives of Nigerians?
We have seen Shege. We also saw Shege Banza. Now, we are seeing Renewed Shege Pro Max!
BAT, on your mandate, we trek! 😪

    6. I've been saying that if a single man like Dangote can own a refinery, what's stopping a whole country from owning at least 2 solid refineries to help reduce the hardship that people are facing? All they are good at is steal for themselves and their unborn kids.

Na God go judge all of them, honestly.

    8. My brother
When prices went up in the uk, they gave everyone 400 pounds to lighten their burdens
They should have even removed 50percent first
No thoughts or empathy for the masses
Every government, good or bad is going to favor someone, but a working system favors the majority or even everyone, until the majority starts to demand what’s best for everyone, we may never move forward.
It’s not by praying for God to favor you, It’s by working towards your faith.
If the masses gets further pushed to the wall, crime rates increases and that boomerang on the majority.

    9. its so so painful. people were already frustrated with the past administration and all the evil previous president could do was to rig and hand over power to a dilapidated drug lord with so much baggage. This is just the height of it all. My tired is tired

    10. Thanks, BV ALI,

Finally, a realistic comment that captures the current mood.

It feels like being beaten up back to back My bro, my body is still reeling from cash swap scam and my money stuck doing transfers

Bat landed and Instant increase in transportation, then our salaries are delayed. Creditors at our neck.

I don't see the hope anywhere and I am not renewed or refreshed.

Gov by a section of the people to a section of the people.

All the rest should get rich anyhow by anymeans to even be considered worthy.

Ha! I don't know where to face bro. I was living on a string budget before just getting by... how I go cope now? I have dependents oooo

  3. Your Revelation Of The Gospel!!
    Romans 1:16.

    Excerpts!!

"When you believed in Jesus Christ, you became a Christian and started living out your understanding of Christianity. Your life became a daily expression of your idea or perception of Christianity. Consciously or unconsciously, you became a reflection of your gospel."

"What’s your understanding of the Gospel? What’s your opinion of Christ? Who is He, and what do you believe about Him?"

"If you truly believe and understand the Gospel, you’ll preach it with fervour and urgency. You won’t spare anything to ensure it permeates your community, city, country, and every man’s world. Let your convictions of Christ drive you."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of taking the same message the apostles preached to my world. I have a clearer understanding of the Gospel, convinced that it's the only hope and power there is for the salvation of men. I proclaim it with boldness today, to the praise and glory of your Name. Amen.

  4. WHAT CAN I DO?

'To set at liberty those who are oppressed.' Luke 4:18 NKJV

UNICEF estimates that as many as two million children and young people are exploited in the worldwide sex trade every year - that's four every minute. Can you imagine what the governments of the world would do if a city of two million people was taken captive and exploited and abused every day? If you think that's bad, here is a statistic that should break your heart and bring you to your knees: only one per cent of those who are abducted into the sex trade are being rescued from it! You say, 'What about the other 99 per cent?' When they get too old to have value to their pimps, or too sick to work, or become pregnant, or diseased, they're thrown away like rubbish. These are the 'walking wounded' who carry emotional and mental scars and struggle with the effects for the rest of their lives.

Perhaps you're thinking, 'It's sad, and it's shocking, but thank God it's not my children or grandchildren.' Thank God, indeed! But as a redeemed child of God, you have a responsibility to care about it. Jesus said he came to 'heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives...to set at liberty those who are oppressed' (Luke 4:18 NKJV). That means instead of avoiding the problem, you must become aware, alarmed and activated.

Only when enough people speak up do politicians start to act. So speak up! Start praying about it. Support ministries that are involved in it. That way, you will be able to stand before God one day and say, 'Lord, I did what I could about it!'

  5. HIS WORD TODAY:

    *DON'T GIVE UP*

_But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15:7._

Don’t give up when your long asked-and-sought-and-knocked- for prayers have not yet been answered. *Read Luke 18:*

Don’t give up when you have failed in sin. Don’t wallow. Repent (again), get your eyes off yourself (again), and fix your eyes on Jesus (again). Get up and get back in the fight. *Read 2 Timothy 2:2-13*

Don’t give up when waiting on God seems endless. *Read Isaiah 40:30-31*

Don’t give up when your reputation is damaged because you are trying to be faithful to Jesus. *Read Matt. 5:11*

Don’t give up when the field the Lord has assigned you to is hard and the harvest does not look promising. *Read Gal.6:9*

Lord give us the grace not to give up as we enter the second half of the year 2023. Have a fruitful new month. More grace.

  10. Yesterday chronicle, almost 98% of the comments were made anonymously only few used their ID. This is so cos majority of them faulted Stella's red pen which to me wasn't a bad one. For we all can't have a uniform opinion on an issue here. In fact, there were good points raised in some of those comments.

But Why go anonymous to express yourself or counter Stella's opinion if you already have an ID? Does she bite?😁😁😁

Not even one person was bold enough to use his or her moniker to counter.

Don't bother, the reason wasn't farfetched.

    Ass licking!!!

So you can confidently and comfortably use your moniker to ass lick and apply for giveaway tomorrow when one comes up.

Apologies to the real anonymous on yesterday's comment that got no ID. Those who have ID but chose to go anonymous, I greet una special

I think we have to give it to people here that uses their ID anytime anyday to say their mind not minding whose ox is gored.

  22. Less than 48 hrs after inauguration, Remi Tinubu has already overstepped her boundaries as First Lady and is now sitting in meetings with the CBN govt.

Why on earth will the First Lady be briefed on economic matters by the CBN and NNPCL?

Emefiele has been a disgrace to the Central bank. He has made a caricature of the institution. The NNPCL has always been a joke, albeit an expensive one.

We won’t tolerate the gross disregard of national institutions again. This nonsense must stop. The First Lady is a ceremonial title, not an elected office that should be briefed on matters of the economy.

As for the Iyaloja of Agbado, that one concern am. She can call herself anything she likes.

The new Fuel price is almost triple of the former price.
You know fuel controls our economy. Prices of everything will go up. Transport has gone up since yesterday as it is affected directly. Foodstuff have started going up as at this morning. Those that sell in the stores have increased the prices of the stock they have at hand.

Stella, we are finished in Nigeria.

I regret not following my then fiancee(now hubby) back to Gambia when he came back and proposed and asked us to marry fast and I should follow him to Gambia where he was living. If I had known he was harmless, I would have listened. He left me in Nigeria for six years without trace and came back to propose, I thought he would have turned to something else before they will use me for rituals or sell me into prostitution, I refused and he stayed back in Nigeria because of me. We are married for 12 yrs now with two kids , we are not hungry but I'm scared cos we are managing. Our standard of living is below average. How will our lives be now?😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

  34. Bad Leadership & Prosperity of the Majority are Incompatible

Many who were Alive in 2015 Prayed too

Many died in the hands of Herdsmen & Kidnappers

Others Perished in Bad roads & Inefficient Hospitals

Bad Leadership Nullifies the Prayers of the Majority

That’s why we have Many Worship Centers but No Real Commensurate Prosperity

Honestly, in Bad Leadership, it’s more of a Game of Chance than Prayers

That’s why Sensible take elections very Seriously

But Charlatans Help Bad Leaders Rig Themselves in , Then Expect the Masses to Pray for Them!

  44. The comments this morning is some how, quite depressing to be in Nigeria right now. So sorry for the loss of your twins@the anonymous. The only hope alot of Nigerians have now is God, but God will not come down to make a corrupt and greedy nation prosperous, there must be a change of heart, a change in mindset first! I dare say, this is just the beginning...
