ReplyDeleteNot a hater or fan of anybody. Queen is alien to Yoruba culture. “Olori” or Ayana are the Yoruba words for an Oba’s spouse. It is lack of self pride in one’s culture and serious complex to keep referring to Ourens in Nigeria. How many Queens are there in Nigeria? Maybe ten thousand or as many towns as have traditional rulers! Think before you post online is one lesson learnt from the saga of this woman. It is similar to the story of Vashti in the book of Esther who lost her position to Esther due to pride. Interestingly we never read or heard about her after Esther took her place.
ReplyDeletePosting you don’t want a man (who never legally married you btw,) Bukola Bombata is the only woman he ever married under the act and nobody hears anything from or about her, she never gives interviews nor has any digital footprint. Acting like you crave the title you renounced on Instagram voluntarily, left for weeks even with pleas from elders, reeks of desperation after an act that was not well thought out and was implemented with pride. The man’s ego was bruised. Any regular guy’s ego will be bruised with such humiliating post not to talk of a major traditional ruler! He moved on in a bizarre way that only he can understand, married six or so women but you still post with an imaginary foreign title? Last last, everyone will be alright. May God give us wisdom, good advisers or both in Jesus name.
Lol! Well articulated. She used the Ooni to get popular. If not she’d still be stuck in Akure as a mammy water Prophetess.
DeleteQueen of the coast.
