President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, appointed Dr Abdu Mukhtar as the National Coordinator of the Presidential ‘Unlocking Healthcare Value-Chain’ Initiative domiciled under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The president’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, who made the announcement via a statement, said Mukhtar’s appointment “seeks to unlock billions of dollars of new investment into the nation’s healthcare delivery system.”

 The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Tuesday, announced that there will be no vehicular movement as well as movement of canoe, ships and other means of transportation via waterways in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa starting from Friday. Egbetokun said the decision was in line with measures put in place to ensure free, fair and credible elections in the three states.
