MTN Nigeria Communications Plc experienced a system glitch impacting balance enquiries. As a result, some customers received error messages showing that their balances had been cleared. This led to a brief celebration among some Nigerian MTN subscribers who believed their debts had been deliberately cancelled.
However, MTN clarified that this was not the case and all balances would reflect accurate figures once the problem was resolved. Their engineers were working to ensure this. So, users would still be responsible for paying the ostensibly cleared bills even after MTN fixes the problem that caused the debts to vanish from their accounts.
And I was here regretting why didn't I borrow Airtime on Wednesday night π€£π€£π€£π€£ππ

I know someone that's owing MTN 6500 for almost 2 years now. He abandoned the sim and is now using Airtel, yesterday he checked and it was 00..He was so happy. I didn't find it funny sha. If you're owing pay up.. Mtn or not. It's business they're doing too. They helped you when you had no money to buy card or load data, why runaway after the help. Abeg it's not funny.
ReplyDeleteOk.
DeleteI agree with you Rhapsody.
DeleteThat's why it's very risky to lend anyone money. They will promise to pay, please and beg...but the moment they get the money, ungrateful nature will show. Insults will follow

ReplyDeleteIt was as result of a technical glitch and according to official statement by MTN, the supposed cleared debts will be reversed. I am not affected in any way, cos I don't borrow.
ReplyDeleteYou are wise to avoid borrowing. A borrower is slave to the lender.
DeleteI only borrowed 1000 airtime last year and didn't pay back on time naso them vex say I am no longer eligible to borrow and since then I respected myself, but I am really enjoying the 1500 5gb on their extra special package.
ReplyDeleteWhich code did you use.
DeleteSee me regretting why I didn't borrow card from them, I was even thinking why they didn't give us free call or free Data instead of clearing the debts.
ReplyDeleteMTN is the best
ReplyDeleteMTN never disappoints sha.
ReplyDeleteIf they reverse the 3500 that they cleared, na to dump the sim and buy another one, sim is just 500 to 1000.
