Rivers State Gov Fubara Tears Down Assembly Complex Over Fall Out Godfather Wike

This is so annoyingly shocking and unbelieveable!!!
According the news, Rivers state governor Fubara has torn down the Assembly complex!!
Over 10 bulldozers and other heavy-duty equipment were rolled out for the demolition of the House of Assembly complex on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area as early as 5 a.m. on Wednesday December 13, 2023.

The demolition coincided with when the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, was presenting the state’s 2024 budget proposal to a four-member House of Assembly inside the Rivers State Government House . The Rivers State Government defended the demolition in a statement by its Commissioner for Information, Joseph Johnson, after insinuations that the demolition was a fallout of the division of the House of Assembly into two, with one faction supporting Fubara and the other faction supporting his predecessor, Nyesom Wike .

    1. One thing people failed to understand is that, Nigeria is structured not to succeed or prosper. I learnt and noticed this long enough.

Unless the criminality structures are pull down, don't expect anything positive from this country.

There are things I would have said that's the main cause of this whole brouhaha but I don't want to get my life into trouble.

If you hear or read it, you will give Gov. Fubara a pat at the back.

    1. He has won by this singular act. The people are solidly behind it.

Mark this comment, even the government he's currently serving might soon get tired of him and call him to order.

When you cook for the people, they will eat and demand for more. When the people decided to cook for you, sorry is your name.

Rivers people have cooked for Port Harcourt Hitler.

    2. Teejay, you're right. Wike is a big and bad luggage for Tinubu. This govt might soon drop him.

  5. I was there some hours ago and see for myself what had happened. I think I will give it to the governor.

He is fighting for his survival.

Nyesom Wike greed will consume him and his co-travellers. To think Gov. Fubara is the son of Wike's aunt, yet the ex governor couldn't let him be in office in peace.

I would have done the same if not worse to protect myself from impeachment.

Now this is the twist. Nobody will have the power to sit anywhere without the approval of the governor. A new venue can only be used after the governor had signed and opened the floor.

Those defectors should kiss their sit goodbye. Nyesom Wike fought too early and has gathered lots of enemies. I can bet anyone that, this is a fight he's not going to win. I'm afraid this doesn't get to a situation it will be seem as upland and riverine battle. Even the upland won't stand with Nyesom Wike.

HIS WOES JUST STARTED; HE WILL SLEEP WITH TWO EYES OPEN AND NOT BE ABLE TO RULE NORMALLY....ASIDE FROM BEING A POLITICAL FIGHT; THIS WILL TURN TO A FAMILY BATTLE WITH ALL SIDES LOSING::

    2. Teejay, you talk with so much authority but your reasoning is relatively low. You are very biased because Wike did not support your TRIBESMAN (PO) to be President of Nigeria. Wike o, Fubara o, other politicians in Nigeria and their senseless backers would soon be consumed by the wrath of God and the people - it is just a matter of time.

    3. Big Stellz,

It's not every thing that's good to say openly. So I won't say more than what I have said above to avoid legal issues.

I have my reasons standing with the Governor at this time. All through yesterday, the voice note of Nyesom Wike was played at all radio stations where he was saying any defector should lose their sit and office. Now the chicken have come home to roost.

This is Karma. He did and treated Ameachi worse. He's reaping his actions.

Stella, one principle I have kept in life is never to take side with an oppressor. So if anyone says I'm taking side with the Governor, I don't know how best to respond on that.

      Anon 13:47,

No, it has nothing to do with him working against H.E Peter Obi. I have long moved over from that. If you know what's happening here, you won't assume what you put up there. We in the state knows much. So calm down.

Even Jagaban didn't fight Ambode on his first tenure in office.

    4. But Stella you also do the same when it comes to opposition parties and anyone commenting against APC. You are always quick to give a reply and roll out memos to anyone who doesn’t agree with APC comments and stories. So you see, you and TJ are the same in this.

    5. I care less about Wike or Fubara, but supporting or giving it to the governor that destroy the buildings built with tax payers money is not giving at all.

    6. I am no fan of APC, I hate their hypocrisy, lies and insensitivity to the plight of long suffering Nigerians. But over time, I observed that your criticism lack intelligence, information and is purely based on sentimental and tribal hogwash.
For your information, the 27 members don't need to operate from within the assembly complex to carry out an impeachment of the governor if that is their goal.
To serve a notice of impeachment for misconduct and other gross allegations, they need just 1/3 of signatories from the house, which they have.
To move a motion for impeachment against the governor they need 2/3 of the members, which they have, so on what leg is Sim standing?
What is playing out has notthing to do with the overall well-being and progress of Rivers people and Rivers state as a whole, just a power tussle between two egotistical individuals and which can only be resolved politically and not by this your beer parlour gossips you like churning out as facts on this blog to mislead the uninformed and gullible BVs

    7. I am Anon 13.47. Teejay, you know NOTHING - you are just a member of the public living on hearsays from your fellow ilks. So stop sounding like you live in Govt House or related to Gov Fubara - you must be suffering from delusions of grandeur. Look at you talking about legal consequences for false narrations that you have heard - I laugh. I live and work in PH - and the parties involved are close acquaintances. They are both shady characters, like all politicians and most public office holders.

    8. Cheks55,

I noticed you always rubbish people's submission here on issue and believe yours is the best. I have seen you done that on people here. This might be my last rejoinder to you. I have never accused anyone here or disrespect them just like you have done right now towards me. I will never rubbish anyone's opinion here. So I will overlook your silliness this once.

I don't engage foolishly. So I won't give you that delight by towing the path you deserved.

Sensible people know that before any sitting will be done, the Governor must approve a venue constituonally. He has that authority. No house member(s) can convene anywhere at this time. There's an injunction. You think if it can be done anywhere, the Governor will waste his time pulling down the Assembly complex.

He knows the game very well and believe me, there are people on the sideline advising him properly.

Constitutionally, those 27 law makers have lost the right to convene. They have lose their seat. Even Wike knows that. Go and listen to his speech he made on defection. As if he spoke about the future months ago.

Both men aren't my tribe men, so why bring tribalism here? I'm not a PDP or APC apologist, so why all the accusations.

I noticed you people have a way of trying to shut one down here disrespectfully.

Pls avoid my comment, they're not for you.

Don't ever attempt to engage me disrespectfully if you lack manners to respond.

    9. Anon, why are you having headache on a false narration? Mr knows it all I see you. Congrats to your knowledge.

The same Port Harcourt I was born and brought up, that I know virtually almost every politicians in the state and have met good number of them. Do you know my position when I was working for PDP at the council level. Do you know what some of us passed through during 2015 & 2019 election.

I am not dragging anything with you bro. You live and work in PH, so where do I live myself? Lagos or Kaduna.

Dey play. I won't be forced to say anything more than I would want to say.

    13. ...this Fubara seems like a foolish person to me. He just enter market dey fight, what happened to posting the former governor and appealing to his better senses? While Wike is a liability to the FG as it stands, the FG will still defend him before offloading him and his wahala. I don't see Fubara winning this. He destroyed a whole house complex, FG can just issue state of emergency and take over from him...really that simple. Cause of the state of emergency? Anything that was serious enough to destroy a government building almost as old as Fubara himself, this kind of thing happens only in war settings and even then is a war crime if historical enough. TJ, I will pray for you so you can learn to be objective.

    1. Simi Fubara lacks wisdom and he will "learn" very soon. Nigeria is being controlled by a gang of criminals. This is a neophyte who was compromised and pushed into governance and within such a short time, without any achievements to get the support and backing of the people and/or built political structure, he is fighting a political "demon". I pity him - it is just a matter of time. He will not have any peace for the next three and half years, that is if he survives the upcoming onslaught.

When governorship was handed over to him on a platter without him even campaigning, didn't he know there was a price to pay. When he was aiding and covering up financial excesses and reckless spending by wike, was he good man? what trait did wike see in him that made him single him out to be his successor? Why is he Sim now playing the victim card and trying to act as if he is a saint? Mtcheww

  13. Just like a barrister said,

''Wike spoke to the future of today! (Citing a video of him kicking against defections and anyone who does, should forfeit his seat)

However, a foundation built on intimidation, oppression, violence, and deceit will certainly collapse because what goes around comes around.....

His advice to the 27 Rivers House Assembly defectors, should be sustained!

Governor Fubara should assert his authority and ignore the rabble rousers, they have completely lost it.

If he gets away this, and with the way he is being hailed politicians have precedent to do the unimaginable to maintain power
