NIGERIA versus SOUTH AFRICA
Ten Thoughts.
1. South Africa dominated the first half by miles. They were skilful and quick, moving in and out of tight spaces like Ninjas, making mazy runs and sharp decoys and forcing our goalie to make a big leaping save. Solid team.
2. Again, our defence won us this game. In a game our midfield and attack were complete letdowns. They maintained positional discipline and did their best to contain the rampaging SA attackers. A lot of credit should go to Aina for how he shut down Percy Tau. Ekong for his calmness and superior mental strength to beat the SA goalkeeper twice from the spot ( SA best kicker tried and failed), and his organisational ability. We looked vulnerable at times, but we never looked indisciplined.
3. When my bet cut after they cancelled Osimhem's goal and gave a penalty against us instead, I said , Fvck it, let us go to penalties. I badly wanted us to face them at the aspect they are considered strongest at, make our boys clear every doubts. I was sick of the nonsense bragging about their goalkeeper's penalty heroics and the talk about if the game gets to penalties, Nigeria would lose. I mean, you haven't faced penalties played by the Super Fucking Eagles of Africa and you dey claim African best. Who are you! Had it been we know you we will haff give you detty slap.
See as our players made their goalie look ordinary. He absolutely had zero chance. Even the penalty we missed, Aina still sent him the wrong way. Who dash am penalty to catch? My friend catch this business flight ticket back to Johannesburg and use your 24 hours light watch us lift the cup abeg. Don't be stoopid.
4. I am pleased to announce that our long, painful search for a reliable goalkeeper since Enyeama and Carl Ikeme is over with Nwabali's display tonight. He was solid. He was calm. He was brave and he was very intelligent. He knew when to sprint out of the box to make a clearance, he knew when to retreat. His super save in the first half was class. Because I watched that part again and realised his sight of the ball was partially blocked, but he still deployed his reflexes to make the save. The man of the match and definitely the goalkeeper of the tournament.
5. Singuu people dey suffer sha. Because immediately Iheanacho scored his penalty I immediately grab phone and called my woman to share the joy. How do you people live with yourselves without person to dey celebrate big moments like this with? But e be like i go ban this babe from watching Naija games. Make dem no use high blood pressure turn me to widower before my time.
6. Again, I give credit to our coach. After the dismissal first half, he came back with a better strategy that gave us chances to finish off the game, but for Lookman's poor decision making. Also the selection of penalty kickers was spot on. Every single one of them sent the South African goalkeeper to him papa village. Make e be local champion for there.
7. I am very happy for Kelechi Iheanacho. He deserves this kind of comeback. He has been one of Nigeria's most consistent player and he did himself a favour by keeping his nerves together to smash home that last penalty.
8. Afrobeats is superior to Amapiano
9. I believe this game is the biggest test Nigeria has faced in this competition. South Africa always brings their A game when playing Nigeria and today they turned to prime Bafana Bafana. They repeatedly breached our offside traps, moved the ball expertly in and out of tight spaces and brilliantly linked from midfield to attack. It is a credit to our defence that they didn't concede a normal goal but to a stoopid penalty. This is the first time in my life I will be seeing this kain compactness in defence and organisation in Super Eagles.
10. Osimhem unlucky again to have yet another goal cancelled. Although he was immense today, despite being double-teamed and the penalty we scored was due to his hard work. But he needs to sit up and work on the accuracy of his headers. Man had too many chances where he beat his man in the air but directed the ball to one bush in Ogbomoso. Hopefully he gets his big moment in the final on Sunday.

Never stop doing the right thing, no matter what it looks like. Truth will always prevail.
ReplyDeleteExactly π
DeleteIt will surely prevail. It's been long here, what did I miss.
DeleteMoney no get value again!
DeleteEnd of rant......
People like to gang up against me wherever I am.
ReplyDeleteLike, there's an argument between me and someone and others around will join the other person against me whereas they know what I'm saying is true and real.
Could be book, economy, current affairs, news, educational topic or whatever.
It always happens!
Sometimes, one person might side me.
When finally maybe the truth or they really get to find out the truth, they'll turn it around on me that I said the opposite of what I said earlier.
Most times when they come to know that I was right, they wouldn't talk about it(not that I care).
I don't know what this is all about. I can't call it a coincidence.
I've decided not to engage anyone in any talks anymore because I feel insulted. I don't argue what I'm not sure of.
I've got great knowledge of things so sometimes when certain things come up, I input my knowledge/experiences but I'm being ganged up against.
Though, there are some very few persons I can rapport with and they'll think and see the possibility of what I'm saying even if they've never heard of it before.
I'm a very open-minded person and view things from other people's point of views.
No, I'm not forcing my opinion down people's throat.. but the gangup against me is just appalling.
I was like "are they jealous of me or something"? But I told myself that it can't be any jealousy.
Maybe, I'm just around small minds.
I hope you're not the kind of person people refer to as I Too Know .
DeleteIf this is happening every where you go,maybe you really need to look inward because people tends to associate with intelligent people or you do a total change of your clique/environment.
Your knowledge of things is higher than most you relate to. Quit arguing with them. It's draining doing so. The urge or temptation not to correct, strengthen, teach or inform them should be curtailed.
DeleteDo you know they might be doing that to you intentionally? To get at you from the side of "you too sabi" or who he/she thinks he/she is?" Let your knowledge be with you. Who among them that wants to learn can come privately.
I get the angle you are coming from..Jealousy can play a factor yeah but let it not be all jealousy...People are usually threatened about things they do not understand, so you might come off as being intimidating or ''show off'' of your knowledge...
DeleteSometimes, it is good to just listen, nod your head and enjoy the conversation even when you know you better than them or what they say is wrong...They must not always agree with what you said, you can banter and discuss..But know at the end of the day, you all can have differing opinions but you respect theirs and its okay for them to have their way...
If you keep correcting or always wanting to have the final say or argument, you may come across as being unpleasant to be around but this is not to say that you dim your light or belittle yourself just to fit into their circle...
You can close with them by saying ''If I got you correctly I hear you say XYZ, Lagbaja I really enjoyed the conversation with you even though we both don't agree on this ABC topic, I respect your thoughts and opinions''
All the best
Maybe you are an oversabi housewife. You will continue getting the same treatment from people until you change.how can everybody be ganging against you all the time. Something is wrong with you.
DeleteChange your circles. You and T
Deletethose people don't reason alike... I hope you don't start thinking that your ezenwanyi is the reason for all that? Know that if you acknowledge that thing, it will come after you.
Probably you're talkative or mingle with too many without strong pedigree so they feel intimidated.
DeleteChange your circle, church, network group or job. Whichever.
And please say less,if you walk into a room and behave like you're the "smartest,Smart People will avoid you.
Be cautious!
Una good afternoon ooo

He is. His presence distracts opposition defence. They always have a minimum of 2 players to mark him. And he does not whine for being surrounded. My best player. His passion is infectious.

Goodafternoon everyone
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon my people of SDK blog. I'm still happy for our win yesterday. Congratulations to us all.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon
ReplyDeleteI feel bad and confused.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin's wife cheated on him with another married man and he found out through her chats, he screengrabbed the chats and shared it as evidence to some of his inner circle.
Before now, the marriage has been rocky, as his wife has been a very difficult woman.
He says he is done with the marriage and wants a divorce, the woman has begged, but he is adamant.
I think he is more upset because she deprives him of sex, made his life difficult and was sleeping with someone else, even though they were trying to conceive.
I just feel somehow about it. I pity her and also feel guilty. In my previous relationship, I intensely made out with two different men and one married man. I did this on different occasions when we ran into ourselves in private places, they were always unplanned, random events.
I had a serious crush on the married man for years, and kissed him a couple of times. Last year, I allowed him get down on me, but we haven't done anything else.
I have totally cut off the other two men, but Occasionally keep in touch with the married man. We have not seen in a private place and have not done anything improper.
With all these men, I never talk about wanting them/loving them or any such thing, we are just good friends, who fall into temptation when we are enclosed in a private space.
When my cousin reported his wife to me, I told him that she did not do well, sextchatting with another married man, sharing nudes and doing anal (that she hasn't done with her husband), but I also feel guilty about my past (even though I am Not married).
I don't know. Just wanted to get this off my chest.
But I want to be a better person, and by God's grace, I will. Now I am not dating anyone and Icrave intimacy and a sensual touch.
Your cousin should proceed with the divorce.
DeleteYou starved your hubby of sex and was giving it out to another married man. SMH.
Sluttychic.
Don't feel guilty. Get you a man so you don't be fucking people you not supposed to

ReplyDeleteLESSONS FROM AFCON 2023!
ReplyDelete✍️ Ivory Coast lost two out of three group matches but still got to the final. They had a second chance and took it seriously. Don't play with the second chance life gives you. Don't give up on yourself!
✍️ Ivory Coast were beaten 4-0 by Equatorial Guinea, yet they bounced back to the final while Equatorial Guinea got eliminated. Don't write anyone off. You won today doesn't mean you are the best. Don't look down on the person you defeated yesterday!
✍️ Ivory Coast mobilized support for Morocco to beat Zambia so that they can qualify. Some of those clapping for you now and supporting you may not be your real friends, they may just be using your success for their gain. Morocco went home after helping Ivory Coast to qualify to the final. Don't let anyone use you for any gain that doesn't benefit you.
✍️ South African goalkeeper stopped 4 penalties against Cape Verde and we're so confident. They wanted the match against Nigeria to end in penalties so that they will win. But against Nigeria, he couldn't stop any penalty, instead the Nigerian keeper stopped 2 and won MOTM. Don't be too confident of yourself.
✍️ Nigeria scored a second goal that was disallowed because of an earlier foul at the build up. Goal was cancelled and SOUTH AFRICA were awarded a penalty. Such is life, when you think you have lost, God may give you a redemption to turn ashes into beauty.
✍️ Senegal didn't lose any match at group stage. But when they played against Ivory Coast that lost 2 matches, they were eliminated.
✍️ All the defenders were on Osimhen, they did all they could to stop him, even four of his goals were disallowed.....but they didn't take note of Ademola Lookman. Your real enemy may not be who you are thinking.....
✍️ Kelechi Iheanacho didn't play the previous 5 matches, he came in late into the 6th game and became the hero. All you need to be a hero could just be one kick and not 100 kicks, but if you have just one opportunity to kick the ball, do it well......
π I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Ecclesiastes 9:11
π Time and chance means PREPARATION WAITING FOR OPPORTUNITY.......

There will always be people that don’t understand you, people that are not for you, that try to hinder your calling. They’ll say things that are hurtful, try to make you look bad, put you at a disadvantage. Human nature is to get in there and fight to straighten them out, to show them what we’re made of. Don’t take that bait. That’s a distraction. They don’t control your destiny. They didn’t breathe life into you. They didn’t choose you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. What they say cannot stop your purpose. Don’t give it the time of day. Ignore it and move forward.

ReplyDeleteFor the first time since the Afcon started, I watched it yesterday. I almost had heart attack, on a normal, I don't watch football or wrestling because of heart attack. I will just be shouting like old woman π€£
Stella wowπ❣️ I love her so much.
ReplyDeleteAdham Khan is not Jalal's half brother but his mom was Jalal's Nanny. Adham is just greedy.
Back to the series, Maham anga will curse Jalal's children that he'd die, and the one that won't die will disobey them. But Jodha will still show her Mercy, by taking care of her in her last days. Maham will die. Also Jodha will loose her twins through poison. Jalal will be so angry that he'd turn to the old Jalal, killing people without mercy. He'd be ruthless again.
π Greetings π
