As a living thing, i Wana be doing things..
The statement above is not as easy as we thought when we were growing up. The reality sets in immediately after NYSC except for few who are born and nurtured with silver and gold spoon but for people like me , it was a different case. I could remember asking my mum why others were enjoying and we keep eating obe padami nigunpa because then, I was so confused thinking my mum wasn't a serious mother as a single mother then. If you have once stayed or worked at Obalende, you will know how far Moshalshi Street is to Falomo High School. The trekking was so easy for me because it has become a norm.

Why do I need to recap or remember few of the things I went through? I met someone yesterday and it was fun having him around as a long time friend but sincerely, I cried for him but him no fit know. We were happy meeting and exchanging pleasantries because it's been years but, my guy don see shege banzai. He attended one of the best school then at Obalende because his parents were well to do. I remember the days when we would sneak into their house because we were hungry. This guy would give us correct soup and rice or eba with the help of their cook and we will still have few to take home. He spent money like something else. I remember telling him to form the habit of saving because we don't know what tomorrow holds for anyone. Then, I used to save with the little I got from him. My savings then were either used for uniforms, school shoes(kito) etc which made me stopped disturbing my innocent mother.

I dont want to bore you. This guy told me a lot because for now, he is facing a lot of challenges. He said, he regretted not learning how to reserve resources. He is fond of spending anyhow then. He said he doesn't know how his dad lost all his properties to the extent that, he sold the remaining without giving reasons. It was when everything went down before they realized that, their father had another woman. Then, he was serving at bida. He said he had the opportunity of securing his future when the money was there but he knows he fumbled and now, things hasn't been easy. I encouraged him with my experience then and how he himself gave me an helping hand. I was so so emotional but nothing I could do I asked him to follow me down to the woman I buy food stuff from then I bought little and paid half of the money to balance later because if I give him what I have, it won't amount to anything but the food stuff I bought worth something great and he really appreciated it.

Now, for those of you who are rich and well to do, train your child well(women especially), teach them how to become self reliant on time because men can be so funny, puna can blind fold them at anytime except for few men. Some men can loose their entire happiness because of puna. I have people around me who dumped their wife and children because of another woman. Dony allow situation or challenges to teach them at the wrong time. Involve them in skills acquisition, trade and , saving habit and lots more. My people will say "Omo o jiya, o ni ogun gban, tani teacher e" dont be a parent who only wants their kids to spend money without working for it.

I greet all the responsible single mothers
I salute the energetic single fathers
I greet the virtues women in here
Ire ooooooo

Most people walk into situations they can avoid because they lack self control.....Once you make up your mind that this is wrong and will bring you down, ignore anything that would lead you there...Those men who follow other women, it is not juju, it is lack of self control....The ones who dont follow but are rich, look at their lives and learn...

    5. When the Minister of Finance of a country comes up to the public to display such blatant ignorance about an important subsector in the financial system, then you know that country is heading to doom. Govt wants to utilise the huge pool of pension funds invested in "short term investments" in infrastructure and housing development/mortgage at low interest rates!!!πŸ™„ Do the funds belong to the govt? Don't they belong to the millions of contributors? Govt can only develop financial instruments which, if they meet the minimum investment criteria, the pension fund managers would invest. Nothing less. Moreover, 65% of the pension funds are currently invested in FGN Bonds with average duration/tenor of 15yrs. Is that short term investment? Shame on the Minister of Financr for taking such a proposal to FEC for approval. It is DEAD ON ARRIVAL and not implementable.

  6. This Stella’s addiction to Zee one reminded me of when I was addicted to watching Twist of fate. I was never a Zee world fan oh and I always used to mock my sis for watching.

That night, I was not doing anything and now sat down to watch with my sis and she started explaining Pragya and Raj (I think) storyline for me. That was how I got hooked oh wanting to know what will happen next.

Ofcourse, it was annoying that I will just be mocking every scene but I kept watching. Even when they stopped Twist of fate and moved to ‘this is fate’, I still continued.

I don’t even know when or why I stopped, I’m just glad I was delivered.

  8. ♦️DAILY CHRISTIAN NOTIFICATION ♦️

    ENVY
This simply means to feel resentful and unhappy because someone else possesses, or has achieved, what one wishes oneself to possess, or to have achieved: example to envy the wealthy, a woman's beauty, an honest man's reputation. Etc.

I have read countless stories and even seen the level of havoc envy have caused so many people. have maimed so many lives.
The Bible says in Proverbs 14:30, “A sound heart is life to the body, But envy is rottenness to the bones.”
Envy is equals to disaster, havoc, destruction etc.

Psalm 37:1, eccl 4:4 job 5:2 Gal 5:26 all talks about envy.

Envy is a killer, it sucks your essence, virtues, Godliness etc, and lives you bitter and empty.

Do you have the spirit of envy, come to Jesus today and ask the holy spirit for help.
Get rid of that envious spirit before you land in hell.

Jesus loves you, come to Jesus today.

  26. We think, “If I can get that position, I’ll be blessed. If I can convince that person to like me, get in that friend group, move into that neighborhood.” No, here’s the key: the blessing is on you. It’s not dependent on your circumstances, your environment, who you know. Quit looking to people, places, positions, and look to God. He’s the source. He’s the One that makes streams in the desert. He’s the One that knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. He’s the One that called you, that anointed you, that marked you for favor. The blessing will cause you to blossom. It will cause you to excel. The blessing will make up for when people do you wrong. The blessing will cause you to flourish in the famine, to succeed in the struggle, to excel despite what tried to hold you down.

We should be grateful for good health always. If we are healthy, then we can struggle and meet up with other areas of our lives.
A friend's mum is sick, they didn't disclose the ailment, every Wednesday they visit the hospital for consultation. They pay 30k to see the consultant, they buy drugs too, in total they spend between 85k and 90k for the hospital runs.
This morning, she was asking me if she can get a loan of #50k from me to meet up with today's own, I really felt bad as I didn't even have up to 5k to help with. I pray for healing for her mum and all others who are sick.

    1. So sorry lady Zee. If you're passionate about it maybe you should get someone in the line to guide you on what went wrong.

    3. Do not give up if it is what you really want to do. I come from a line of farmers and don't know a bloody thing about farming. Without the guidance of older ones I would be completely clueless. Remember that everything in this world can be learned, so go take some classes at the agricultural college or do an apprenticeship with a farmer, or find other ways of learning, even watching You Tube. Talk to others about your experience and see if you can get some tips on if you did anything wrong. Maybe there was not enough air circulating, overcrowdedness, feeding issues, maybe you needed to give medicine. it could have been anything or a combination of things. Maybe you would do better with egg layers versus chicken for meat.

  61. @Pinky's reminiscence of your childhood relationship with this good friend of yours illustrates how choices, decisions (in this case, his father’s), and financial mismanagement (by your friend) can lead to significant hardships later in life without a support system.

This heartfelt narrative highlights the importance of financial discipline, prudence, and early life lessons in self-reliance. Your friend’s misfortune echoes what R. Kelly's scream of, "If I could turn back the hands of time." We all have similar stories within our circles. It is essential for parents to teach their children the value of skills like saving, trade, resource management, and self-reliance. These lessons are particularly relevant and serve as practical advice for ensuring long-term stability and success. However, in preparing for life's unpredictability, it ultimately falls on the individual to do better, not just to know better. The speed at which life presents its detours often leaves us facing unforeseen challenges and in difficult situations that bedazzles our reality. I hope he has learnt his lessons; otherwise, life will continue to push him through these cycles until he affirms what he is being taught.

I pray he finds divine help to break free from his plight. The hardest ladder to climb is the one leading back to grace after falling from familiar comfort. Sometimes, it is a wishful thinking, on a hopeless courage to yet believe. But nothing lasts forever if we don’t rest on our oars.

I enjoy your write ups @Pinky.

  64. @Stella's Comments on Pinky's story.
Stella, without supporting adultery, the fact is that there's supernatural aspects of it. There are men and women who use those forces and they have innocent and longthroat victims.

Even on this Blog there have been stories confirming this fact.

  67. Pinky, what a tale. So that man was so mesmerized by the new woman that he sold everything to maintain that union. When we tell wives with wayward husbands to stockpile, some will come and tell us that couples need to be open with each other and that is not God's way and blah blah. If your man is philandering and having outside enjoyment, you better secure your inside enjoyment in your pockets so when you get replaced you and your children are not on your faces. Pinky, I applaud your generosity because even with you not having much you always try to help another.

Stellz, you needed that break. The thing with these soap operas is how long they are. Give me one of those limited series with 8 episodes max. I can't do years long soap operas again. I remember when Dynasty was the hit in the 80s, folks were addicted to that show.

Bridgerton 3 is supposed to be premiering today and I am sure thrilled.
