 A 13-year-old boy, Wisdom Hashimu, has died by suicide in the Ungwan Maigero Community in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident reportedly happened on Thursday, June 7, after a soldier and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force in the area tortured the deceased.


Rivers State House of Assembly Speaker Martins Amaewhule and 26 other lawmakers are still members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a state High Court sitting in Port-Harcourt ruled on Monday. Justice Okogbule Gbasam held that membership of a party is only proven by being listed on the party’s register.

 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised a team of operatives to probe the alleged mismanagement of N423 billion by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and some key members of his government. It was learnt that the former governor will soon be invited for questioning.

 The N2.7bn contract fraud trial of the immediate-past Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, opened on Monday with a former Director of Procurement in the Federal Ministry of Aviation, Azubuike Okorie, testifying against him. Sirika is standing trial alongside his daughter, Fatima, son-in-law, Jalal Hamma, and their company, Al-Buraq Investment Limited.

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended Tobi Shonibare and Odusanya Oni on charges of allegedly stealing electric cables valued at about N650,000 in the Isonyin community, located in the Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of the state. It was gathered that the suspects were nabbed on June 7, 2024, while trying to sell the allegedly stolen items.

  2. very good. that Hadi should go to jail...he really did so much nonsense in aviation.....the first story sha, so after enduring toture the little boy committed suicide? the story is not clear

  9. Only one man and his cronies stole 423 billions and they'll still open their greedy mouth to say they can't pay civil servants. 13yrs old been tortured, may God rest his soul

    1. Speak it loudly! When I stated the other day that the govt was awash with money many didn't understand. 423 billion, I can't even put that in numbers because my brain doesn't work on such large figures. These ppl are stealing money to last 20 generations of their lineage while those who are alive are starving so the unborn can live in wealth. Imagine a living person being worth less that one yet to be born.

      They can afford every penny Labour is asking for, even the original sum, but if they pay it then what will they steal from.
